St. Benedict Church, Ayala Westgrove Brides

Hi Girls! Anyone who had their wedding at St. Benedict Church? Share naman your feedbacks. Price as of now, with Aircon is 28K, included na yung officiating priest. Might book this for our wedding kasi. Hindi pa ako personally nakapunta, wala kasi ako sa Manila ngayon, but sa pictures it looks so beautiful!

^ jan. 2015 bride here. we booked it last month. 5k lang ang downpayment and were scheduled for a canonical interview on march. after which, magbabayad ata ulit ng 5k. the church really is beautiful, hands down. sobrang tahimik and solemn ng surroundings. it fits our personality na din kasi low-key lang kami ni h2b. tapos mejo tago pa sya kasi ang layo nya from the main road (sta.rosa-tagaytay road). we initially wanted a more accessible church, but when we went here for ocular, may "this is it" feeling talaga.    the church assistants are really friendly as well. downside lang is medyo strict sila sa time and bawal magkalat/magsabog ng flowers sa loob ng church. bawal din magkabit ng kung ano ano. bawal pumunta ang p/v sa altar during ceremony. basta madaming bawal hehe.    tapos pag na-late ng more than 45 minutes, irreschedule na ang wedding.   

kelan ang wedding mo sis? when we went there last month, may mga naka-schedule na ng february 2015.

Eto din church namin. May "this is it" feeling talaga pag punta mo dun. Reminds me of pink sisters sa tagaytay coz it's sooo quiet there. Babalik pa lang kami next week to finalized the reservation. Nagchange kase kami ng date. Ang concern ko lang dito, medyo hindi maganda ang sound system and i'm hoping maayos before our wedding.

^ talaga sis? panong di maganda? as in parang may ground yung sound system? when we booked our strings kasi, they said na maganda and "state-of-the-art" daw yung sound system. altho di ko pa naman talaga napapakinggan kasi nung may wedding dun before, tapos na yung ceremony nung mag-gate crash kami. haha! haha they also have a grand piano na inside (2, i believe) that is free for use

I don't know if iba yung ginagamit nila SS sa wedding and masses but i doubt it kase di ba yung speakers nila is wall mounted. Nice nga yung piano kaya nga we will use it din. Hehe

Ayala westgrove pala sya hehe... nakita ko yang church na yan sis sa isang vids ng bliss and berries... hehe yup solemn nga and maganda!
ask ko lang po kung dyan ba may out of town fee na when it comes to suppliers?

^^ ah ok. when did you go there sis saskia? we went there last december 29 at may naabutan kaming kasal. si h2b lang ang pumasok and he said ok naman daw yung sound system.  . so i guess maybe it was fixed na? hopefully 

^ sis marylabsyu, depende siguro sa supplier mo. if they are laguna based or silang/tagaytay based, baka wala ng out of town fee. pero kung galing pang manila ang supplier, malamang they will charge OOT fee

^^ if your guests are coming from manila and the north, yes meron oot but cheaper compared sa tagaytay oot fee.

^ we went there last week of nov. Sana nga ayos na sya. We will be back this coming week and pag may mass or wedding, i'll check the sounds.

^ ah yes. if you wanna hold the reception sa clubhouse ng ayala westgrove, you need sponsorship from a homeowner.  tapos mas strict na sila ngayon.  immediate family lang ng homeowner ang pinapayagan na gumamit ng clubhouse. so pag hindi ka immediate family din ng homeowner, they wont allow you

i didnt know na may issue pala sila sa sound system. sana maayos nila para maganda naman for the future weddings. si H2B ang nagbook ng church kasi wala ako sa manila ngyn, pero baka sa May kmi naka sched for canonical interview. I like the church kasi simple, but elegant sya. Ang problem lang ay walang super lapit na reception venue sa church na to kasi yung clubhouse na malapit needs a sponsor nga. San ang venue nyo sisses?

^ ladies, there's an upcoming food tasting at alta veranda de tibig on feb. 28. sa mga naghahanap pa ng venue, this is a good option if you're having your wedding at st. benedict. lalo na sa may gusto ng garden themed wedding.

^Gusto din namin sa Alta Veranda kaso baka hindi kasya ang 150 guests sa indoor nila. According to H2B yun, hindi ko na kita personally. Pero ang ganda doon, Spanish style tapos newly opened palang

^ mejo hindi nga kasya sis.. if ever, yung iba, andun na sa bandang garden nakaupo. kaya kami, we trimmed down our guests to 120. less gastos na din and para assured kami na yung close lang talaga sa amin ang invited    if ever magdagdag pa talaga, max na ang 130.

just an update. done na with our canonical interview yesterday. as expected, it was really long. more than 3 hours din kami na-grill ni Fr. Gani. hehe pero sobrang galing nya as in. sya na din ang pinili namin na officiating priest since sya din ang nagprepare sa min for the wedding. after the interview, they already gave us the marriage banns and letter requesting permission from my parish. finally moving forward    next na is yung pre-cana seminar pero probably around june na namin aayusin to. too early pa.

another thing, mas lalo ko na-appreciate ang st. benedict after the interview bec. Fr. Gani and the church assistants are really advising us to just have a simple and meaningful wedding. wag daw masyadong gumastos sa mga di naman talaga kailangan. kakatuwa lang.

^Hi Sis! Thank sofr the update! After booking the church, ibang suppliers na inisip ko. May seminars pa nga pala.  May schedule ka ba ng canonical interview nila and pre cana seminar? Thanks in advance!

^ hi sis!  every wednesday ata ang canonical interviews. 2 couples lang palagi ang naka-sked. 9 am and 2 pm. di pa ba nila kayo nabigyan ng sked when u booked them? as for the pre-cana, im not sure if they still have that sa church. wala din akong nakitang sked sa brochure nila. when i asked Red (church asst) if ok lang na umattend na lang kami ng discovery weekend, ok lang naman daw. pero the brochure says the pre-cana is preferably done 6 months before the wedding.  . hth!
