Ahhh kasama pala si Leasee! Well, if the Leasee did not demand for a search warrant and just let NBI do their thing, then you cant blame them nga.

^^re: mga gamit na nasira. i don't think the camp of DC and CL can still claim that they replaced the fixtures if the owner and lessee themselves would testify that those things inside the unit belong to them at hindi kay DC. nag-aaksaya lang ng panahon magpalusot ang mga lawyers nila...

sa isa lang tumama si fortun...dahil obvious na walang rape if they're talking about the jan.

According to Atty Fortun, his 'tipping point' daw was when he watched the psychologist interpreting the actions of DC and CL, na the network daw was using its powers to sway public opinion on the matter. Dun daw uminit ang ulo nya.

I say...does public opinion really matter on this? It's a criminal case. The public will speculate, judge, throw comments all they want, but nothing that they say will matter in the trial - unless they offer evidence, unless they are witnesses to the crime.

I don't know much about him, but I think he's a good photographer - I think that's what 'softened' his image as a lawyer. He defended former Pres. Joseph Estrada pala, which says something. He said he likes defending the underdog daw, which in this case he thinks is CL. Well ok, being the underdog does not mean he's not guilty. Anyway, at least masasabi kong he's being 'real'.I don't think most lawyers choose their cases based on guilt or innocence, especially the big, popular ones like Atty Fortun. It's a 'juicy case' eh, irresistible. Hehe. If he wins the case for CL, well he'll prove he's a good lawyer - and bigwigs will keep his name in mind lalo.  ;) -UPDATE, aba e spokesperson lang pala - weeeeeh. Maybe he can see that's not Atty Calleja's forte, so yun daw ang role nya. Not for the money? Really now? Well then in the future, I hope he does it for other slighted individuals who do not have companies and billions to their name. Maybe then we'll know, it really wasn't for the money.

Good point yan sis hunny_ally, the NBI had the owners and lessee of the unit give permission - anong illegal doon?

I can already imagine the court trial. Dadalihin sina Vhong sa technicalities - loopholes sa batas ang gagamitin - and yes they can say they're not twisting the truth - they're just going to divert the attention away from it. Kalurkey.

well said :) i also don't know why fortun is concerned about public opinion, hindi naman 'to image or PR war...the courts will decide based on evidence and merits of the case and not on what the public has to say about the issue. ang dating niya saken nakikisakay lang sya sa very controversial case na 'to. parang nawawala na kasi sya sa eksena so gustong magparamdam. at pa-hero effect at that :P

Atty Fortun... I idolized him as a lawyer pero now, i feel very disappointed that he is siding the other camp... NOT because im pro Vhong.. but because i just cant see the point bakit nya sinasabi na under dog si CL..

And can I just say na hindi porket underdog yun na dapat ang kampihan mo.

Underdog daw si CL dahil two big guns are 'backing' VN - ABSCBN and NBI.

Well it's not like CL and DC are not being given airtime. GMA man yan o ABSCBN. And yun nga.... news coverage wouldn't matter in court.

If Fortun did not take on big or controversial cases, he wouldn't be THE Atty. Fortun we know now. He'd be just your everyday lawyer. Even if he is a good lawyer (good in terms of having the ability to win a case), kung di sya kukuha or kahit sasawsaw sa isang kasong popular, paano sya makikilala. This is his 'hello-im-back' statement. If he is going to be the 'mouthpiece' of CL's camp, I'm sure he is going to sound brilliant, some people may actually be swayed by him. And so even if they lose the case, he 'wins'. :)

More and more people are hating on CL not because he beat up VN...but because it turns out he had done it to others before and had gotten away with it more than once. And with all his shady deals in the past, well he's not exactly the kind of 'superhero' he was trying to 'portray' in this case.

I just hope maparusahan ang dapat maparusahan. Pano naman naging underdog si CL? eh sya nga tong nambugbog at madaming connections. Haay... Atty.

Exactly. This is not about Vhong..

Even Vina Morales e dinemanda sya, so how can you get the sympathy of public ngayon?

Agree sis.  In fact, kapag i-assess mo, itong si CL ang mega pa interview TRYING TO GET THE PUBLIC's SYMPATHY. Pero sya, sige pa interview to salvage her reputation but to her detriment, mas lalong nagworse ang situation for her kasi obvious na she is just fabricating stories.

Naging underdog sya, nabuking sya, napahamak sya sa gulo na iyan, all because of her own doing. Kaya huwag nya isisi iyan sa ibang tao.
