Hello!

I need help! Im planning to buy tons of 2nd hand books (mix paperback & hardbound) from an online shop in the US. Whats the best way to ship it here? thats probably around 300 books. Is balikbayan box (sea cargo) the way to go? if so, which one is the best specially for lots of books like this? Would really appreciate it! Thanks!

Not yet. Since oct 10, 2014 ang status niya na is enroute to delivery office. Pero wala pa naman ako narereceive from makati philpost na pwede ko na i-claim.

hello po, first timer po sa pag ship internationally,
I have a package po for delivery sa France less than 200gms, has anyone tried xend post registered mail or ems?  want ko po kasi ng feedback, want ko po makarating ng maayos yung package sa customer ko, first international buyer ko pa naman po.. Thank you

^go to post office and acquire ems may tracking naman un kaya safe naman. been using it for my bf nakakarating naman

Thanks to this thread and the previous thread 1, I found out about EMS. Mapagkakatiwalaan naman din pala yung local post office natin -- palabas nga lang ng bansa. Haha.

I sent a 3-kg. package to New York. It cost 3,600+, just like it says on the Philpost website.

Juicecolored, sana dumating sa buyer ko! And sana totoo nga na within 5-7 days ang delivery time. I'll update.

UPDATE: Dumating din yung package ko. Sent on Dec. 2, received on Dec. 12. Not bad!

Sis, abot din sa France ang EMS? Sabi kasi ng lola ko wala. So, I don't know. I'm planning to send kasi tons of letters sa hubby ko dun, I want to put all the letters in a box ayoko ng envelope lang kasi madam and maybe samahan ko din ng gifts. Thanks mga sis!

I'm ordering items from Korea. Balak ko sana EMS para walang tax. Didn't know na possible pala magka-tax kasi my husband who's in Korea frequently ships item thru EMS wala naman tax na binabayaran since maliliit na items lang din but this time, medyo madami yun order-in ko kasi wholesale. Although the seller ensured that they will declare it as gift and low value pero wala naman guarantee lalo na dito sa atin na hindi magkaka-tax. Registered mail and EMS ang options. Gusto ko na magplace ng order pero natatakot ako sa tax.

yan nga din nabasa ko. hindi ako mapakali talagang gusto ko na talaga magplace ng order kagabi so i proceeded with EMS. sana makalusot. good luck sa akin pangbenta ko sana 'to. pero pag nagka-tax wala na kong kikitain. pag registered mail daw walang way para ma-track according to what i've read from different blogs.

kapag EMS or Fedex IE ba door to door? Sa bahay na ipapadala yun box? I want to order some clothes from China kasi, hassle yung China Post since ang layo ng local post office and dadaan pa ng customs. Kaso subject to tax din pala yun EMS/Fedex IE?

^ yes. mas mahirap pa kapag fedex or other private courier nag tax sayo, hindi nakaka bargain unlike EMS. OA din mag tax si fedex.

^oh no. akala ko lusot na ako sa tax. $33 kasi tapos pinadeclare ko ng $15 lang as gift. Clothes from China.

Ang gusto ko lang sa EMS is mabilis. Less than 1 week, kuha na agad. Pero the problem is sobrang kaba ka naman sa tax. Minsan natatax ako, minsan hindi. Swertehan lang talaga. Okay lang naman sakin kung may tax kaya lang yung pinambabayad ko sa tax, napupunta lang sa bulsa nung nagcollect ng tax. Lol.

may tax calculator ba sila, yun ginagawa nilang basis sa pagtax ng items? susundan nila yun nakadeclare na total value?

^ Kung maliit (physically) yung package, di naman. Yung postal fee lang binabayaran ko. Or if books, no tax. Pero kapag malaki yung box, naku, goodbye. Wala pang receipt. Naka scratch paper lang. Or bibigyan ka ng amount tapos tatanungin if kaya mo. Pag hindi, tinatawaran nila tapos walang receipt, meaning napupunta lang sa kanila.

Hi guys.

Gusto ko sana mag-start ng business with items from AliExpress, mainly clothes, bags and sunglasses. Question ko lang, anong BEST way para ipadala yung items na makakaiwas sa tax? Kumausap ako ng sa sea freight kaso masyado daw maliit yung package (5 kg) so di nila tinatanggap.

May alam pa ba kayong shipping lines na tatanggap niyan? Di rin kasi ako maka-order ng bonggang dami dahil ayoko mag overstock.

Any help is appreciated. Dito po ako sa Surigao City.
