anyone has experience in sending food supplements from Manila to Dubai?  mga 10kgs.?

Shocks, i also ordered 9 shoes from China, EMS din gamit. I thought ditto sa san juan post office yung pick up - nearest post office sakis. grabe na hold sa customs. I had to pay P5,000 + tax. Declared as gift pa yan ha. omg talaga. Didn't expect that. Hindi papa to too na kapag personal consumption - walang tax.

Ikaw ba sis Cherie, what do you use? Kasi bakit yung ibang online shops with big boxes na dumating, nakakalusot? What's the best to use form China to Manila na less taxes sana?

^at first kala ko lahat na ng EMS parcel nagtatax, kasi last year naka 10-15 box ata ako, 2x lang ako natax, big boxes yun ah.. then came this year, 2 boxes ko may tax.. both yung box na yun is from China, hassle we have to go pa sa Pasay to pick it up. maayos nadin yung system nila sa pag pickup at may CCTV na.. sometimes you can haggle pero depende padin sa Boss nila, nakabase lang sila on your declared value and sometimes sinasama nila how much yung shipping fee.. ang hindi ko magets dun is madalas yung mga china boxes may tax.. kahit na less than 50USD man, eh may tax automatically basta box around 8-15kilo siguro kasi alam nila na undeclare yung value nun. eto based from observation ko lang yun ah, kasi yung mga japan boxes ko nakuha ko lang kanina, wala naman tax.

you can haggle, based yan sa experience ko pero depende nga talaga sa makakausap mo dun or if may kilala ka na kilala nila. haha. ok din na bayaran nalang, dala ka invoice. mabilis pa proseso. mas mahirap pa nga minsan kapag may contact ka pa sa loob.

^yes sis, based dun na experience ko, may 2 cctvs, isa sa loob katutok sa table kung san binubuksan yung parcel.. then isa dun sa medyo labas ng window. sabi ni bf, yung isa daw di gumagana.. for show lang daw! hahaha. yung pwesto ng mga customs ladies, okay na yung area nila very clean kaso dun wala padin cctvs, they issue official receipt naman.

Go for DHL if customs tax is not an issue. mas mahal ang customs tax ng DHL compare sa EMS.

EMS 3days lang pero wait ka atleast 7-10days kasi need pa iclear ng customs ang box.

kasi un sa quotation ni supplier mas mahal shipping fee ni ems compare kay dhl so im wondering how about tax..

kasi if yun tax ni dhl cover ng price ng isf ni ems then go ako kay ems..

^di ko alam exactly ang cost kasi di pa ako nagpapaDHL,
i know someone na pinadalhan ng HP tablet yung cheap brand, napanalunan thru a contest abroad. amount ng tablet is 8k lang ata in php, using dhl ang tax na charge is 7k. its almost like paying for the unit itself, note pa ha, she's from mindanao.. then hindi naging door to door.. pinapapunta siya sa pasay dhl to get the item herself.


Read mo din ang experience ng mga expat dito sa pinas, may forum ako nabasa before regarding that..

Meron ba po ba balikbayan box doon na nag shi ship door to door? Para hindi naman macharge ng matindi sa tax?

hello mga sis. im new here and i was browsing through the internet looking for reviews on philpost because i just received a card/note from philpost saying that i need to go to their pasay branch to pick up my parcel. i'll probably drop by tomorrow and let you girls know of the outcome. my parcel is a handbag worth $140, i hope hindi malaki i-tax sakin, since the most recent posts i've seen so far is maganda naman mga experiences nila sa philpost except for those who calimed their packages 2012 and earlier.
about naman sa DHL, their parcels also undergo customs inspection na din, recently lang, based sa mga nabasa kong posts. if you girls want to try other couriers, that would be better IMO.

Hi. Kapag 1st Class Registered Airmail Economy from Taiwan, may tax pa bang babayaran?
Pag nagpapa-ship ako from abroad usually from HK & China, diretso na sa local post office namin. Tapos yung storage fee na P50 lang binabayaran. Mag 3 weeks na kasi yung recent purchase ko, yung status "8/19/2014 12:19:52 PM - Turn-over item to next office" parin. Papunta na kaya yung package sa local post office o na-hold ng customs?

Hi! Newbie po ako dito.. Magtatanong lang po. Bumili rin kasi ko online from China. Worth $20 po yung item ko at less than 0.5kg naman yung weight sabi ng supplier. Mahal po kaya ang itatax sakin? Based dun sa tracking system nila, "Turn-over item to next office" as of 8/22/2014 12:38:41 PM    andito na yung item sa Pinas. For custom verification na.

Ang dami ko pa namang nababasa na negative about philpost. Thanks!

Looked through the old thread and still cannot find any info on a UK forwarding service (UK to Manila).  Anyone has experience shopping from a  UK site (needs a UK address) then to the forwarder's address then to Manila?

Based on Hong Kong post website, my parcel is in the Philippines na since Oct 7, 2014.
"Destination - Philippines
The item (RC*********HK) arrived at Philippines on 7-Oct-2014."

Pero nung sa philpost track and trace ako nag-track, eto naman yung lumabas.
