Family Travel - Backpacker Style

Hi everyone!

Have any of you done family travel on a budget/ backpacker style? Where did you go? How much were your budget? Where did you stay: hotel, apartment etc? Did you hand wash your clothes during your travel/s or did you just wear them several time during the course of your trip?

My family laging budget. Hongkong, Singapore and sa mga beaches sa pinas. Sa HK and SG, they stayed sa hostel, okay nga sabi ni mama kase big group sila so ang 6 bed na room sa hostel occupied nila lahat. Between 2008 -2010 pa itong HK and SG, I don't know na how much budget.

Sa Pinas, pwedeng hotel na din. But when we went to Boracay in 2012, my family rented a villa ang dami kase namin. Okay ang villa pwede magluto.

Travel naman one week lang so hindi na kailangan maglaba.

Present! We travel backpacking style with our 3 yo daughter. First trip was in Singapore, then HK and PH destinations.

We always stay in guesthouses/hostels, masyado mahal sa hotel . In HK< we also tried booking thru roomorama. Regarding our clothes, we bring enough to last for the duration of our trip eh, 5 to 7 days.

Yes, backpacker style talaga lalo na nung Cambodia-Vietnam. Sobrang siksik nung itinerary. Kasama ko parents ko na 56-57 y/o nung time na yun. Less than 20k php ata lahat nang gastos namin nun.

Sa guesthouse or hostel kami nagsstay pero chinicheck ko maigi yung review sa tripadvisor. Yung clothes namin madami pero maninipis at magaan para di kami mahassle.

We take our 11 year old girl to beach camping trips with us coz she loves to snorkel. She has her own tent and we bring food lang and cookware. Backpacking siya literally. We always bring enough clothes for the duration of our trip

^sis, sang beach kayo nagcacamp? As in overnight? Yan ang gusto namin itry kaya lang wala kami alam na beach that lets us sleep in our tents eh.

My family (hubby + 3 kids) and I went to Turkey recently and we stayed in an apartment/ apartelle. We stayed there for 10 nights and with 2pcs of luggage + 3pcs of carry on only. The apartment has a washing machine hence I was able to wash clothes at least every 2 days
