Need opinion in choosing school

Question: kung papipiliin kyo which school ang pipiliin nyo..

SCHOOL A - walking distance from our house, Tuition fee is average (not very affordable pero hindi din sobrang mahal), Quality of education is also good (all feedbacks maganda, wala pa akong nababasang pangit).. OR

SCHOOL B - Ortigas area, medyo mag effort ng konti sa pagpasok ang anak ko. Walang maghahatid sa kanya kaya malamang school bus sya at the age of 3 YEARS OLD ha, MAS maganda ang quality of education, doble ng presyo ni School A.

Point is si School B mas maganda kasi ang quality of education pero medyo malayo.. si School A is almost perfect.. Nagkataon lang mas angat ng konti si B sa quality of education.

Ako kasi lumaki na walking distance lang school nmen and sobrang convenient talaga. Ayoko kasi mafeel ng anak ko yung stress ng byahe, ang bata pa nya masyado.

I'd go for school A for now and get him to school B when he's a bit older.

Hmmm... depende yan sis.

1. How far exactly is School B? 1 hour farther than school A pagdating sa travel time? If ganun katagal or more ang travel time, then it will be difficult talaga for the kid, kasi maaga gigising, pagod pag-uwi. Lalo na pag super early ang schedule. Saka kahit school bus, mahirap pag wala kasama yung bata. My daughter travels to school every day sa school service (mga 30-45 minutes travel time), pero kasama either ako or her yaya. Can't imagine pag mag-isa lang sya.

2. How good exactly is the quality of education in School B in comparison to School A, as in what aspects? Quality of education is really important kasi, especially if you want your kid to study in that school for the long-term. Kung trivial lang naman ang difference between the two, as in hindi malaki ang impact sa pag-aaral ng bata, now and in the future, then you can go for School A and double your 'at-home-reinforcement' pagdating sa pag-aaral.

Like what cmax suggested, puede mo na rin sya transfer pag medyo mas matanda na sya, grade school siguro ganyan. This will work naman especially if hindi naman malaki pagkakaiba ng teaching methods between your two schools of choice.

i would go for school A because at that age, kahit malapit ang school nakakatamaran ding pumasok, what more sa malayo?
also be practical, pre school pa lang ang bata, andyan ka naman to guide your kid in his assignments/lectures..madaming level pa ng schooling ang sasagupain mo, unless you are financially prepared

School B is mga 45 mins to 1 hour travel time depende sa traffic.

Quality of education wise sumusunod sa International standards si B kesa kay A.

Both schools ay for pre school lang. Wala silang gradeschool.


Financial aspect wala po kaming issues kasi we really saved for it.

i'd say go for school A na walking distance. believe me it will save you a lot of headache along the way. 3yrs. old pa lang ang anak mo and pre-school lang. normally 3hrs. lang ang pasok ng pre school. wala pa rin naman sobrang importanteng ituturo. mostly play lang din ang gagawin nila. besides you can always transfer your child to school B sa next school year when he turns 4 right?

isipin mo yung hassle ng bata sa byahe like traffic, pag heavy rains or may typhoon na biglang nag cancel ng class kaso nasa byahe na yung bata, school bus nasiraan, got into an accident? 3yrs. old lang siya and mag school bus. buti sana kung ikaw or hubby mo personally maghahatid at least nababantayan niyo siya inside the car. baka makulit, malikot at mauntog sa loob ng school bus etc. bata pa kasi iyan. isipin mo rin yung comfot niya, kung magiging ok ba lahat since you won't be there.

even if money is no object, think about what will be convenient for your kid at his age. kasi 10 months niya gagawin iyan. and buti kung ikaw mismo ang maghahatid sundo at least ma supervise mo siya.

I'd go for School A. I experienced traveling for more than an hour from the house to school when I was in kinder til grade 2. It was stressful especially during rush hour. My brothers studied in a school that's 10 minutes away from our house (walking distance lang) and they had more fun that I did at that age. I experienced hurrying up kasi pag alam na heavy traffic. Not cool.

Yan nga din lagi sinasabi ng mom ko, yung convenience ng bata ang pinaka importante since 3 yrs old palang sya.

^ Even in choosing a grade school, proximity to your home should be one of the criteria.  Mas marami kasing school work in grade school and nakakaawa ang kids pag pagod sa biyahe then may homework and projects pang gagawin sa house. 

For me, travel time to and from school of 30 minutes or less is reasonable.

I grew up na walking distance lang ang school ko from Pre school to HS at iba talaga ang convenience lalo na kapag bumabagyo! hehe!
