Civil Wedding
« on: January 15, 2014, 03:25:24 am »
Me and my fiance are planning to get married this year, but I wanted only a civil wedding (for now)..
He lives in Caloocan and I live in Pasay, yes - North and South..
I was thinking of Makati for the ceremony, though hindi talaga sya half way.. 'coz I've read in some blogs na maganda daw yun place for Civil wedding ceremonies.

Any other suggestions?

Question mga sis. Then after dun na din magbabayad. That time and day na rin ba ang wedding?

^Magraffle sila para malaman kung kaninong judge kayo ma-asign then pag alam niyo na punta kayo doon sa judge and set the date of your civil wedding.

In my case it was held last Friday April 11. Supposed to be ang plano naming Sponsors ay yung Tito ng hubby ko saka yung sister in law ko. Then sinama yung 2 Councilor ng QC and Vice Mayor which is pumayag naman ako. Though not much a deal naman pero good thing Joy Belmonte was able to sign our contract nitong wedding day as in she appeared personally. She even gave us 5k worth of certificate from SM which is big thing to us. Yung sa Councilor hindi na nga nag appear at wala pa kaming natatanggap na gift  ;D though not a big deal dahil we don't want to expect rin naman. Yung representative lang nag sign.

^Well why don't you ask him regarding his intentions? American ba yang foreign bf mo? it maybe true na gusto ka niyang gawing American citizen agad. Kung 10 days lang siya rito meaning after kasal he will leave again alone tapos hindi ka muna kasama?

Is it ok kaya na sa ibang lugar magpakasal?
Case kase namin, we processed all the documents in Manila
But since yung judge hall is very busy this month
We decided na lang to pull out the docs
And sabi nung nag assist saken from rtc of that area
Kung sa province kami pakasal as long as
Valid yung date ng marriage license.
Is it true?

Yes, it's true. Pwedeng sa province, on your church or sa church ng husband mo as long as the marriage license is still valid and hindi nag expire.  Just present the marriage license sa officiating officer.

Oh I see. Thank you. I am bit bothered actually, thought I have to go thru another processing of documents or re-apply marriage license in h2b's province.

Me and my hubby we're married there in Makati City Hall, we both don't live there I'm working lang in CBD that time '08, maganda ang facilities ng courts nila bago kc ang bldg, depende rin sa personality ng judge un magiging takbo ng ceremony

Curious lang ako sa iba how long yung naging ceremony ng wedding niyo sa Civil? Mine kasi parang 10 to 15 minutes lang ata eh!

I have a guy friend, yung pinay gf nya from US (not sure if immigrant or US citizen na) had a civil wedding last september 2013.

^More or less ten thousand pesos.  We just put on our best clothes then proceeded to the venue, sa court.  Then we had our reception at home.  All our foods are home cooked, no catering or orders from outside except for the lechon but that was sponsored by my mom.  Close friends and relatives and neighbors are our guests.  Plenty of left over foods, we brought it with us the next day as our baon for an overnight swimming at Laguna.

Depende kung saan or kung anong klaseng civil wedding. Just like in our case nasa P2,500 to 4000 ata yun pero of course civil wedding lang ha.

Kasi sa Civil it's optional unlike sa Church alam ko they are requiring it.
