^ Awww... Thanks so much sissy! We're still praying parin naman. And you're right. Whether may baby kami or wala, it doesn't change the fact that we got married because we love each other. Kung hindi, ok lang din kasi we have each other. Happy na ako na may partner ako in life, that I have someone to grow old with. :)

Very inspiring talaga. Having baby is such a best gift ever. But having partner in your life is such a blessings from God :) dahil di nya tayo pababayaan na tumanda mag isa :) :-*

Another positive story here!

It takes two to tango talaga.  I noticed that most relationships that work, give and take.  And most people tell me super mahal ako ng husband ko, patay na patay yata, joke!  Even though we can afford to have a maid or eat out from time to time, I try to to cook him dinner parin which he appreciates.

May moments that we have mga disagreements, but we always figure something out.  One more thing pa is that I am independent.  I help him out not only with maintenance of the house, but with finances din.  We enjoy the same things, like travel and simple things like watching movies.  From the start kasi ok naman siya sa family ko, and I'm ok sa family niya.  And now, I'm pregnant na!  So happy to have a new addition in our family!

marriage becomes more meaningful when you both learned to overcome every obstacle that comes your way. you become stronger, you learn to appreciate each other even more and the relationship becomes more rewarding. couples who decide to stay married even after 10 years are happier stronger couples in my opinion. well of course, it doesn't apply to all. usually kase ang pinakamahirap ay ang first five to seven years kase dyan lalabas lahat ng problema, lahat ng personality clashes, lahat ng issues na tinatago ninyo sa isat-isa, issues sa family, yan din ang pinakamalakas ang tukso.

actually it's easier said than done  :D marriage is a lot work. but i want you to hold on to that thought dahil yan ang isa sa mga alas mo when the problem starts coming. i dont want to sugarcoat things to you, ive been married for 12 years, been through so many ups and downs but im still here and i can say im glad that im still with the man i chose to marry 12 years ago :D. i dont have everything i want, but i have all that i need and im thankful for that. just dont expect too much, enjoy the ride, appreciate every little things, dont forget to say sorry, choose your battles wisely, be open and honest. huwag mong i set aside ang issues na mahalaga sa yo kahit hindi sa kanya dahil takot ka na mag-away kayo. kasi baka yan ang maging mitsa ng paghihiwalay ninyo later on.

^^don't give in to pressure. ganyan din kami ni hubby 12 years ago, pareho kaming bagong dating sa bansang ito. bagong kasal at napakadaming adjustments. on top of that, people around us were pressuring us to have kids na. nakakapikon at nakakainis minsan pero after 3 years at hindi pa rin ako mabuntis,  i discovered na may problem ako sa ovary ko. i had surgery to fix it. now i have 2 kids. but i can so relate to you. pero huwag mo ding patagalin, siguro 1-2 years, kase baka kung gusto mo na, mahirapan ka naman ;) masaya din ang may baby lalo na kung kayong dalawa lang sa isang foreign land.

- Thank you for sharing you thoughts and experienced :) kasi ako kapag alam ko magaaway na kami binaba ko yung pride ko. Kasi bata pa lang kami im only 23 years old and hubby ko naman 22 yrs old. Wala pa plan magbaby after 3 years till makuha nya ako dito sa pinas.

It's nice to hear happy marriages once in a while.

Anyway, I am two months away from my wedding, and I can say things are better for the both of us. Nawala na din anxiety, and more, and more ko na-ttrust yung fiance ko that he will take of me at di sya mangangaliwa someday.. haha! Nagpapacounsel na din sya sa Pastor namen ngayon for marriage, and pag uwi ko sa Pinas, syempre counseling agad ako.

All I can say right now na I'm very thankful for my fiance. Lahat ata ng friends and family ko gustong gusto sya, at isa lang din sinasabi.. that he's a good man. And totoo naman talaga yun. Wala akong problema sa kanya. Hinde mabarkada, hinde maluho, walang bisyo at higit sa lahat may takot sa Diyos at may desire na mas mapalapit sya sa Diyos. Although he's not perfect, far from it.. pero he's the perfect fit for me. Parang puzzle nga. hehe.

Siguro nga, I just have to trust nalang, and syempre ako din, as a wife-to-be dapat try to make myself better din for him.

Si hubby din almost perfect for me. :)) very responsible, hardworking, super sweet, lovable, may takot din sa diyos.. gustong gusto sya ng family ko ,friends , relatives, and mga ka officemate ko. Easy to be with and marunong talaga makisama. One thing i know about him ay love na love nya ako. lol :))

Ayoko nga basahin yung iba topic dito about bad marriages and sad wives. Nakakastress:D

Agree with Aquacharly!

Personally speaking, I agree with the sisses here, it takes a lot of work and effort to stay married and happily at that.

I learned-

1- To forgive is the best way to get along.

2-To work as a team. There is no I in team,Wala ding ME lang-dapat laging US,OURS ang paiiralin. Not only financially but with time, effort, caring etc.

3- To always respect the " quirks" of your partner, kasi aminin natin lahat naman tayo meron nun.

4- To never speak ill of your spouse to other people, not even your family.

5- To try your best to live as a new family away from his/hers family. The worst kind of marital conflicts arise from the INLAWS. Not saying don't ever visit them, but minimize. The more you let other people know about your lives, mas maraming makikisawsaw, mas magulo.

6- Have a more realistic picture of your spouse and your self. It does not take perfect persons to make a happy marriage but two people who continuously strive to put efforts for the other's happiness.

having a happy marriage is a choice by both the husband and the wife. Both should be willing to work together. mahirap magkaron ng happy marriage kung isa lang ang nag-eeffort.

things i've learned over the 9 years as a wife...

- don't nag.

- give him space, his own me-time.

- don't sweat the small stuff

- have your own me-time, go to the gym, learn new hobbies, etc

- have fun together. kulitan.

- if disagreement arises, learn to communicate effectively.

- Open and Honest and Constant communication sa isat isa is IMPT!

- don't neglect S3xY time with hubby.

- appreciate him. as a person, a husband, a father and a lover. even tge small things he does

- eto favorite ko: If you want to be treated like a Queen, treat him like a King.  ;D

Pray and make God the center of your marriage.  Be your husband's lover, best friend, cheerleader, confidante, etc.  Do not expect but be grateful for the unexpected extras or surprises.  Be your own woman.  Never nag. :)

I 100% agree. If God is the center of any relationship, then it will be strong as oak.

Hi all, I am celebrating our 1st Anniversary as husband & wife this month of March and still nasa 'Honeymoon Stage' pa lang kami although naka encounter na kami ng mga ilan-ilang pagsubok like disagreements and stuff.

This is my second marriage. I don't want to compare it with my first one pero ang masasabi ko lang eh, it's really up to you two if you want it to work out. Also naniniwala ako na both ready dapat kayong dalawa sa mga pagsubok. :)

Sobrang happy ako sa asawa ko, kahit  may disagreements kami -- nagpapause kami to say na happy kaming dalawa na kami ang magkasama sa mga ganitong sitwasyon - tapos kiss and okay na kaming dalawa.

Thankful and will be forever grateful for my husband.

Hi everyone! :) I am new to this thread, I just got married last January, and syempre nasa honeymoon stage pa kami ni hubby. I love reading posts here, I am a hopeless believer of happily ever after.

I don't want to sound idealistic, bago pa lang kami, pero since day 1 of courtship, my husband loved me more and more. I've been through failed relationships before, and I must say that my husband is really God's gift to me. Sobrang sweet at maalaga. Everytime stressed ako sa work, lagi nia pinapaalala na andon sya lagi for me. May misunderstandings din along the way pero sobrang understanding nya na lagi nia akong pinapakinggan. :)

Just sharing my thoughts, keep your inspiring stories coming. :)

Marriage is really a work in progress and ours is far from perfect but we work together to have a happy and harmonious union putting God in the center of it all. It requires a lot of faith, hope, love, patience, understanding, respect and so on.

We compliment each other, we talk our differences and opinions, we laugh together, share house chores, we travel, we try different food, we let ourselves get cray cray sometimes, we go on dates, i let him watch his anime he let me watch my korean drama ;D. I love being married, it gives me great accomplishment as a wife knowing that my man is well taken care of and that he's happy and loved.
