I will be doing this too for the next year. Nag open na ako ng account para dun ko idedeposit yun weekly savings ko na separate pa sa joint savings account namin ni hubby

I'll try this next year and I'll use half of it to invest in stocks and half to fund my emergency fund. I set up an account without atm so I won't be tempted to withdraw.

Btw, has anyone tried the reversed order? Meaning start with the largest amount and end with the lowest. Would it be harder or easier?

I think I'll do the reversed order. Tackle the hardest ones first. Plus, I can add more to the latter weeks if I don't have much expenses.

^i think it's also a good idea to start with the big amounts, like ngayon, may money pa tayo from our bonuses, pamasko, 13th month pay.

I already set-up my money goal for 2015 thru ibanking. Ang cool nga eh, 1st time ko kasi ginamit yung service ng ibanking na yun. I am very positive with this goal. And maybe pag may salary increment, dadagdagan ko din ang deposit ko or mag-set up pa ulit ng kuripot savings, bale hahabulin ko na lang yung amount.

I split the cash I saved for this challenge, 40% in the coin bank while 60% I invested in stocks. Para di naman nakatengga lang sa alkansya ang pera.

I'll do the same next year pero hindi na sa coin bank, sa stocks na derecho para mas malaki return

nope! :-) we just have jars with a monitoring schedule taped in front. we highlight each week when we have put in the amount.

but we'll be depositing most of the money in the bank after taking out a small part for our rewards :-D

nakagawa na ako ng alkancya na may monitoring sheet nakatape...naghulog na din ako ng 60 pesos, bale 2 weeks na un nacheck-an ko....

Will use my BPI account so I can transfer my "set aside money" online. No excuse na di ko mapasok sa bank. And atleast my konting interest na din kahit papaano at di ko magalaw.

i think the monitoring sheet really helped to keep us focused on our goal. there were weeks when we forgot to put in the amounts but the monitoring sheets got us back on track and seeing it not updated made me and hubby guilty.

his face was absolutely priceless when we got the tv he has been asking for all year long. we don't watch cable channels but we do have a routine of watching shows on netflix during dinner time and we also play wii so that's where the tv comes in :-)
