New home!

From our recent Cebu trip:

Zubuchon's Prichon - It's the crispy version of their regular zubuchon. Very crisp and you can still taste the herbs even though the meat was deeply fried. Hubby and I gave it a 5/5.
Zubuchon's Tokwa't Lechon - It's just your ordinary tokwa but instead of the regular baboy part you have their zubuchon. This was just a 3/5.

Back home:

Polly's Pavlova cake - We usually order her chocolate cake but this time we tried her Pavlova and it was delish! It wasn't so sweet kaya hindi nakakasawa.

Grated radish (chicken) ng saboten: sarap! Super juicy at malambot green tea ice cream and vanilla ice cream nila are really good

From our Binondo food tour (DIY):

Rediscovery: Eng Bee Tin~ sarap ng hopia nila at tikoy rolls! Best for me is yung bago nila na custard hopia

Rediscovery: DEC chicken pie ~ masarap pa rin! 50 php per piece and mukhang maliit pero siksik at nabusog ako sa isang pie lang

Masuki mami: masarap yung mga meat and toppings, but yung base broth itself maanta.

Dong Bei dumplings: masarap at mura

Vegetarian Siopao: lasang pansit ang filling haha pero masarap yung wheat bread nya


WaiYing: masarap pa rin at affordable ang dimsum nila.

Recently tried cakes from Purple Oven:

CAMPFIRE CAKE- super sarap! No wonder kung bakit best seller to Hindi tinipid sa chocolate icing tapos moist. May chocolate chunks yung choco icing niya. Ayoko lang dito yung white icing sa labas. Hehe. Pero overall, masarap. P620 yung price

BLUEBERRY CHEESECAKE- favorite cheesecake, so far. Hindi tinipid yung blueberry tapos hindi nakakaumay. Basta super sarap. Nakailang ulit ako nito. Infairness mura lang din siya. P820 lang

Sabi nga ng mom ko kung nadiscover lang niya yung cakes ng purple oven before Christmas e yun na lang sana pinangregalo niya sa friends niya.

Cheeseburger ng 50's diner (baguio) haba kasi ng pila so feeling ko masarap naman naman hindi masarap at hilaw pa kasi siguro sa dami ng tao. Milkshake d rin ok

Canneloni, masarap! Sa lahat ng inorder ko ito lang masarap. Ang sarap nun filling at nun cheese.

Blackened fish with dirty rice, sobrang spicy hindi ko makain kasi burnt na spicy ang lasa.

Pulled pork with buns, d ako mahilig sa food na maamoy masyado e sobrang amoy ng cumin ciabatta ng wheatberry yun kasama hindi bagay kahit i-panini press

Roast beef belly, pwede na, mas ok lang yun naiorder ko before.

Makahanap na ng bago maoorderan ng food pag may okasyon.

Shiela g's mint brownie brittle - overwhelming yung mint.di ko masyado malasahan ang chocolate.

Sweet patti cakes cupcake - bigay lang ng officemate ko.business daw host/model na patti grandige (?).ok lang lasa ng cupcake.masyado matamis yung frosting.most likely dami sugar para stiff yung frosting.ganda ng hitsura ng cupcakes nya e.

Gavino's donuts - nice alternative to the usual doughnuts. i like the ensaymada ones.

Southern Fried chicken nila - sarap.  you will need to wait 15 minutes for it
Hotdog - super alat.  never again will i buy their hotdog again
Roast chicken - still very good
beef roll - yum.  di nakakaumay

 Lia's avocado cake with some pistachio nuts, sarap, not too sweet and  moist un chiffon cake.

Tim Ho Wan

Favorite ko yung baked bun with BBQ pork! Tama lang pagka-sweet & salty. Sarap lalo na while hot. Their siomai and egg cake is also good. Yung glutinous rice with pork ata yun, nagustuhan naman ng parents ko pero heavy daw kainin. Super haba ng pila!

Ace Water Spa's Coffee Lounge Del Monte.  Everything we ordered were good.  The salted caramel cheesecake, thumbs up!

Belgian choco cupcake, sobrang tamis wala na ang lasa ng choco.

Oreo and cream cupcake, kahit anak ko na mahilig sa sweets sumuko

Loumar's Buko Pie - masarap pala ito! Dati kasi Orient Buko Pie usually binibili namin sa Tagaytay kaso naubusan sila, so nagtry kami Loumar's. Masarap para sa akin!

Marisa's BF - not sure kung may shop to or paorder lang. May nagregalo kasi sa kapatid ko ng sylvanas tapos ayan yung nakalagay sa package. Nasarapan ako talaga sa sylvanas nya.

3 Sisters Barbeque sa Tiendesitas - masarap at good value for money ha kasi malaman, compared dun sa Aling Nene's na barbeque ( na gustong gusto ko din dati) na biglang nipis na ng karne at nagmahal pa.

Savoury Lumpiang Shanghai - ansarap ng timpla ng shanghai nila. I wonder anong mix ng spices sa shanghai nila.

Din Tai Fung- the best Xiao Long Bao yung siomai nila masarap din, big and malaman talaga. Try the pork chop and chicken noodle soup also. Di ako mahilig sa rice pero panalo fried rice nila!

Aristrocrat's Lumpiang Sariwa - I didn't like it that they placed dried small shrimps (hibe/hibi). Nalalansahan ako. Mas masarap pa din for me the one from goldilocks. Even the one from the kiosks (Kuya's ata yung name).
