Hey! Hey! Hey!! And yes, I'm being defensive in some sort of way.

And also, about my previous post on why men can't/don't leave their marriage, threatened to leave him, I'm not referring to my BF/affair partner. If you read all my previous post, both of us are not married, but have live in partners and kids.

Quote

Yes of course, I do. And also Kaya ako nag share hindi para husgahan nyo or what.

Just what I posted previously, lahat ng nilalang ay may kanya kanyang dahilan kaya gumagawa sila ng isang bagay mabuti man or masama. I have my own reason, he (my affair partner) have his own, and all the other woman/3rd parties who posted in this thread (you know who you are) have your own as well. we don't need to explain or to tell our full stories.

katrinac too bad for you, hindi niya inamin agad na may extra baggage pala siya. Pero at least ngayon masaya ka na. Congrats!!

Quote
you are blindly inlove

I know right. Sobrang bulag, at 90% manhid na. LOL

I greatly appreciate all your advices, concerns and critics. And of course for being calm (to those legal wives who posted here). Thank you so much

justin3 tama si CITIgirl, why don't you share your experience. Besides, all of us here are open minded.

And to those who's getting married soon, CONGRATULATIONS!!  May you have all the happiness and healthy married life.

to TS my college bestfriend was once in this kind of drama. After 3 years kumalas din ang ga..ga..

hello!

im glad to have found this thread. sumali ako sa gtalk for this. first of all i am not a mistress. BUT...

may nanligaw saken na may asawa na and guilty ako na i fell for him. umabot din ako sa stage na nagpapantasya na baka hindi sila happy ng asawa nya, baka hiwalay na sila, blah blah. umiiwas ako sa kanya pero hindi ko napansin na im falling for him na pala at the same time. nung time na hindi ko pa alam na may asawa sya, nagtataka ako kung baket kapag kaming dalawa lang ang sweet-sweet nya pero kapag maraming tao parang hindi kame magkakilala. ang sweet nya sa phone and sa text pero kapag may nakaharap na ibang tao sinusungitan nya ko, i assume then na he's just being professional since we're working on the same company. boss sya, simpleng employee lang ako.

i will never forget the day he said he loves me, alam ko na nung time na yun na may asawa na sya. before that day, naghahanap na ko ng chance para i-confront sya about being married hoping na marinig ko na sabihin nya na hiwalay sila, mali ako, walang anak na masisira ang family. but then since i felt the same way, hindi man ako nag-i love you too pero hindi ko rin nagawa na i-confront sya. i waited again for another chance to confront him, let's just say inenjoy ko na lang muna kiligin.

and then i felt guilty because im in love with a married man. yung mga kapatid ko may asawa na, gugustuhin ko ba na may babae or lalaki na manggugulo ng marriage nila? hell no! then i thought, ganon na ba ako ka-desperate to settle for less? ayaw ko sumira ng pamilya pero ang way lang para maging legal kame e kung (excuse me for the word) magiging byudo sya.

i have confessed with a priest about this dahil guilting-guilty ako to even entertain such thoughts. kase i've been through hell on my last relationship tapos naisip ko baket ako bibigyan ng ganito ulet na challenge. don't i deserve to be happy?baket after a heartache, heartache na naman?hindi ko maisip kung anung purpose nya at kailangan nya dumating sa buhay ko. nagkasala lang ako.

:(

IMHO we want what we can't have kaya rin siguro may mga babaeng pumapayag maging mistress.

agree.

and some girls love the challenge, it's feels like winning over a competition.
yes, it's not morally correct but for some there's a certain feeling of being wanted or desired over someone else. They are aware though that it is temporary.

and for married men - a man won't leave his wife if he doesn't have another woman in the wings. it's easier to run TO something than run FROM something.

Mistresses - IMO though not solely responsible for extra-marital affairs - are selfish and disrespectful of family values and worse, they do not feel accountable for their actions.

Tell me now, hindi ba talaga dapat sila pagsabihan?
[/quote]

I sooo agree with this, hindi naman kasi romantic love and own happiness ang pinaka importante sa buhay what about family yung mga kids that will be scarred for life dahil sa love love na yan.

Mistresses - IMO though not solely responsible for extra-marital affairs - are selfish and disrespectful of family values and worse, they do not feel accountable for their actions.

Tell me now, hindi ba talaga dapat sila pagsabihan?

Pero pag-iisipin ninyo, it takes 2 to tango. Since nasa bakuran ng wife si hubby, sya yun inaaruga. Little do the wife know ang totoong demonyo eh yung asawa nya.

^ Couldn't agree with you more, sis!

This is what I'm trying to explain sa mga una kong posts. Wala naman magiging mistress kung in the first place hindi sila niloko ng guy. Naniniwala pa rin ako na lalaki talaga ang madalas, may kasalanan sa ganitong case, not the mistress/3rd party. Mistresses are victims too. Well not unless kung yung girl na talaga yung lumapit sa guy despite knowing that he's married, that's a different story na.

Naisip ko na din once na ipa bugbog (I know, so bad) yung guy na nanloko sa kin. Pero I backed out, nakakatakot din kasi makipag transact sa mga tao na ang puhunan eh manakot at pumatay ng tao.

Girltalker2 I completely agree with you. Pinaka-liable sa afffair ang husband. Numero uno siyang dapat papuntahin sa condo at papagdalhan ng foods  ::) but I don't think that makes my prior statement any less true.

iamlili Mistresses as victims? Victims of what? Victims of love?  :P
Victims of poor judgement. Nothing more, nothing less.

Third parties agree to be one on their own free will. How can a person who exercised his/her right to choose and chose to be a third party become a victim?

People cheat and become third parties as they please and it was a choice and decision they made. Even those na gipit and kapit sa patalim kaya kumabit sa isang taong mapera had a choice. There are no victims here, just consenting people who know exactly what they are getting into. Case in point, those who shared their experiences of being courted by married men - they chose not to get involved with those men.

Either you choose to be a third party or you don't.

Re: Mistresses being victims

What I'm trying to point here is that there are some girls who's not aware that the guy is married. Say for example, from the start nag lie na yung guy about his "real" status. Then bandang huli lang aamin when girl finds out. I'm not defending mistresses here.

Hope this is clear.

Not knowing that the guy is married an entirely different scenario. However, in the flow of the discussion here, and the title itself "being a mistress", it points to those who are totally aware of the situation, of them being a third party, yet still cling on to the affair.

Pareho may kasalanan yung mangangabit at kabit pero since being a mistress yung tittle kaya mas concentrate yung comment sa mistress. Kung hindi alam ng mistress na may asawa pala yung bf niya victim din siya pero kung before or during the relationship she found out na may asawa pala pero she still continue the relationship e di ang victim dito is definitly not the mistress kung hindi yung wife at family.

Sa society natin double standard talaga when it comes to this mas less forgiving tayo sa mga mistress kaysa sa mga babaero mybe because we expect women to have stronger values they the are ones who suppose to protect and nurture the family.

Tama, being a mistress is a choice. She can be a victim at first but a criminal afterwards 'kung' kukunsintihin niya ang sitwasyon. However, the mistress is not-at-all at fault here based on my experience. I am not in any way defending myself pero sa pagkakaalala ko noon eh when how many times I tried cutting the relationship I still end up going back to my ex-AF(affair partner) again because that is when he does things that will make me fall back. However, the cycle went on repeating until I got tired and was finally able to accept the REALITY na there will never be us, he will never choose me, at kahit na gaano pa niya at ilang beses pa niyang sabihin na mahal niya ako eh there's a nagging feeling deep within me na 'iyon' lang talaga ang gusto niya. Afterwards, I cut off everything. All communication ties. Even in my mind. I really helped myself. I read all the advices on how to get out of an affair, how to move on, as in really, really helped myself.
Sobrang mahirap sa simula pero eventually you'll be thankful na nakalabas ka sa masarap-sa-una-ngunit-masalimuot-at-kahiya-hiyang sitwasyon na kinasadlakan mo.

And yes, one of the reasons why others chose to stay in an affair and cannot leave an affair is because they're being blinded since they're wearing rose-colored glasses which means that they're living in a fantasy since everytime they meet, wala silang nae-encounter na realidad na hirap ng buhay na pinagdaraanan ng isang mag-asawa/live-in partner. Lagi silang masaya, kumakain sa labas, nanonood ng sine, check-in, gifts, hugs, kisses, happily-ever-after, idea of being soulmate, and  the worst thing is the feeling of being aware not to get caught, the mystery, the kept relationship heightens and feeds the illicit affair.

Quote
Mistresses - IMO though not solely responsible for extra-marital affairs - are selfish and disrespectful of family values and worse, they do not feel accountable for their actions.

I perfectly respect your opinion on this it's just that I hope you won't generalize them. Some were raised on a family with a good virtue and yes, they DO FEEL ACCOUNTABLE for their actions. However, based on my case before, when I was still blinded and IN DENIAL TO THE REALITY, I CHOSE NOT to be responsible for my actions to which I was TOTALLY AWARE that it's WRONG.

:)

And may I add that the feeling of being wanted also feeds the craving of both affair partners for each other. Usually kasi si mistress pag naiisip niya na gustung-gusto siya ni guy even though he already has a wife makes her feel na parang nasa pedestal siya, na itinataas ang bandana niya, hanggang sa ma-trap na siya into delirium kakaisip na pipiliin din siya pagdating ng panahon, na pakakasalan din siya, na soulmates talaga sila, making her blinded with the REALITY NA HINDI TALAGA GANUN ANG SITWASYON.

Totoo ang kasabihang 'PALAY NA ANG LUMALAPIT, TUTUKAIN NALANG'. totoo yun sisses. Ang mga lalaki, aminin man natin o hindi, when they get an opportunity to bang, they'll get it. Because they have the ability(based on scientific research and proven and tested surveys) to SEGREGATE LUST from LOVE. Whereas sa mga babae, it's so easy to fall and mistake lust from love.
Sa mga nabasa kong blogs na nahuli ng misis yung mister na may kabit, usually they reason out na KESYO INAKIT LANG DAW SIYA, KESYO PA-CUTE DAW NG PA-CUTE AT SIYA(kabit) PA ANG NAG-I-INITIATE NG FIRST MOVE, pero in reality nung di pa nadi-discover relationship nila, eh ang sweet-sweet niya, binibigay ang langit at lupa kay mistress, nire-regaluhan din ng kung [textspeak!]-ano, pero like what I've said at the end of the day hindi pa rin siya pipiliin dahil guys KNOW WHO THEY REALLY WANT TO BE WITH FOR THE REST OF THEIR LIVES.

If I remembered it correctlyn sa isa sa mga nabasa ko, 5% of men chose to be with their affair partners when they got caught but only 2% in those ended succesfully in marrying each other. And some in those 2% divorced after some time.

Kaya in a way, yung mga babaing third party-aka-otherwoman-aka-kabit na nahulog na ang loob at nagmahal eh nagiging biktima rin. However, they can't blame anyone but themselves alone.

And most of the time, wives consider themselves at fault as to why their husband had an affair. So she makes a move to take a look at their relationship more carefully and if the wife has an open mind, even willing to change herself and ways just to get her husband back again.

Hello? Nagsimula kaya sa pagliligawan ang relationship nila. Nagsimula kaya sila sa friendship, sa ligaw-ligawan, sa getting-to-know-each-other stage muna at nagkaroon pa ng matamis na 'oo' at 'I do' sa pagitan ng isa't isa na alam ng lahat at hindi patago. Take note, my honeymoon pa! So tingnan naman natin kung gano kalalim at katibay ang pundasyon ng dalawang taong TUNAY NA NAGMAMAHALAN AT MAY MAGANDANG SINIMULAN kaysa sa isang RELASYON NA NAGSIMULA SA ISANG KASINUNGALINGAN NA PUNUNG-PUNO NG PAGTATAGO AT KATARANTA*UHAN.
Mahirap tibagin yun.  Kaya si mistress, well(can we atleast say kawawa?), at the end of the day, maiiwan pa ring luhaan.

Na-realize ko, kahit gaano pa kapangit ang pagsasama ng isang mag-asawa, live-in partners, mag-bf/gf, dapat hands-off lagi tayo because THEY SHOULD RESOLVE THEIR ISSUES THEMSELVES FIRST. Kung girl tayo at may boy na nanghingi ng advice kasi ganito na yung relationship nila and vise-versa, we shouldn't entertain it because it's crystal clear that they aren't willing to fix it up with their partners dahil it shows how easy is it for them to spill the beans with other people. Kung mahal mo ang iyong partner/asawa/bf/gf, hindi mo siya ipapahiya in ANY way. Kahit on the rocks na ang relationship ninyo. Hangga't kayang i-solve, i-solve.

We ourselves are the one who is responsible in all our choices in this life, we cannot blame anyone for our failures. we have our own mind if what we will do is wrong or right.

8 Reasons Why it Sucks to be a Kabit
The “kabit” (or mistress in English) is quite a popular phenomenon here in the Philippines, with at least several local movies devoted to this societal reality.
I am fortunate to have loved and have been loved by so many men, both single and, where this list is concerned, married. Which makes me a melodramatic, if not tragic, cautionary tale. Mistresses, take heed.

8 I Still Have a Conscience
Let’s get this out of the way. Even if you felt deeply about your married lover, there will always be a nagging voice in the back of your head saying you are breaking up someone’s marriage, someone’s family, possibly ruining a kid’s future — even if he or she claims they aren’t happy anymore.

7 Paranoia
You know you’re dealing with a cheater. So he’s probably cheating on you, too, and God knows with how many others. It’s just so hard to trust him.

6 It’s Hard Work
You work harder than the spouse to keep the relationship going, fulfilling fantasies and whims the spouse cannot.

5 “No Marks!”
No biting, no hickeys, no nails. Can’t get too passionate or lost in the heat of the moment or else he’ll be found out the moment he takes his shirt off at home.

4 There’s Never Enough Time
You can’t even be seen watching a movie or having dinner together. 3 hours in a motel room twice or thrice a week isn’t enough.

3 He Has Regrets
That’s probably why he’s rushing to take a shower as soon as he’s done with you (or after that cigarette). And he can’t use the soap or else his wife will wonder why he smells so fresh when he comes home at 3 in the morning — when he said he was just drinking with the boys.

2 The Waiting
Sometimes, you just cannot help but feel you aren’t the priority. His family, his work, his friends, they all usually come first. And then number 7 starts to gnaw at you.

1 Valentine’s is the Loneliest Day
Just imagine all the fun he’s having with his wife tonight while you’re alone in your room watching Scandal or Pretty Little Liars waiting to see him tomorrow. Unless he gave you shopping money which you might find insulting if you really ‘loved’ each other.
