yes, tama. nasa CMAP kasi siya. although some banks require certificate na proof na you already paid na.

Kaya, cash nalang. Wag na utang! :)

I defaulted both sa Citibank and HSBC. Thankfully, na-settle ko naman nung 2010 and I have certificate of full payment from both banks.  :) Allergic na ako sa credit card! Nasanay na ako to use my debit card instead. If credit card payment lang ang accepted mode of payment especially for online transactions, nakikihiram ako sa then-BF ko.

When my fiance and I applied for a joint checking account pala sa BPI Family, the person who assisted us mentioned na nasa records nila that I've got delinquent credit card accounts nga. Sabi ko: "Yes, but I've already paid for that. Do you need the certificates?"

My husband, I think, can apply in our behalf pero baka ma-minus points if malaman na his wife has a poor credit history.

yes sis, lahat ng ioopen mo na accounts makikita nila you if you have cancelled cards or even closed ATM accounts.

I dont think na less points yun for your husband kasi clean naman ang name niya not unless co-maker ka siguro..

@Madeline,

Your spouse to automatically made co-borrower on housing
loans.

My wife also had delinquent accounts but we already closed
those accounts and have the certificate of full payment.

Also, they don't actually show the details of your delinquency.

Case in point, one of those "delinquent" credit card accounts
was a pre approved card that my wife never bothered to activate
but an annual fee was still charged and she only learned about it
when a collector tried to collect. The bank promptly issued a certificate
after they realized their mistake but it still shows up in the negative database.

At any rate, as long as you have the certificate you should be good.
When I applied for housing loans, the fact that my wife has had delinquent accounts
was never a big issue after submitting the certificates.

Sa Citibank ko from 7 years ago, pre-approved. I decided to use it na lang din til na-max out ko sya. Nagbabayad din ako monthly until I got sick and had to quit my job. Kahit nasa hospital ako walang patawad yung collector. Eventually my mom settled it na lang since before I got sick, 18k na lang balance. Nainis sya nung minura ako nung collector while I was confined sa Medical City.

Question if si extension card holder hindi nagbabayad ng dues niya but siya talaga gumamit ng car. Affected ba so primary card holder? Thanks!

  • Guest
^uh yeah? being the "primary" cardholder ikaw ang may sole ownership sa account.. humahati lang sya sa "convenience" ng credit card. (correct me if im wrong)

I applied my cc balance to their repayment structure program payable to 24 months.
Just my pov.

Kung mag-settle daw kayo for a certain amount which is way lower than your outstanding balance, malamang sa kolektor lang daw yun mapunta.

Like what i've said, banks can consider your debt sa kanila as loss.

And, totoo naman kasi they issue certificate na paid ka na sa card mo.

But, still doesnt changed the fact na delinquent ka na forever. :)

^ Bakit may mga nagpapakilalang from a certain law office o kaya si atty. someone sila, tapos ambastos makipag-usap?

yung sa case ko, I am not saying na hindi ko na or wala na ko balak bayaran yung utang ko sa Citibank. kasi meron lang akong 2 months na delayed payment pero laki na agad ng interest at tawag na sila ng tawag sakin pinipilit ako to pay the two months para daw di n nila icancel yung card ko. pero di ko kaya bayaran agad agad ng buo yung amount due kaya lumobo na ng lumobo. then as advised ng isang sis natin ditto sa GT is makipag haggle ako or ask for payment terms. aba ang ngyari is pagkadating ng SOA ko tinotal nila lahat ng utang ko plus interest at yung total is need ko bayaran in 1 payment. when I called them what happened sabi nila di daw ako qualified sa ganoong plan at wala pa daw sila ganung promo, so ang siste is till now di ko pa binabayaran. you think makakatulong ba kung 5k lang muna ang bayaran ko or wala ding bearing yun at mauuwi lang yun sa panibagong interst at tutubo lang ng malaki? any advise? TIA

most likely, malulubog ka sa interest and finance charge ng credit card..
what i did was to request for an installment plan para atleast hindi mabigat maunti unti ko pa pag-babayad ko sa credit card ayoko din kasi na ma-delinquent account, mahirap na baka di ako makapasok sa ibang trabaho lalo sa banking industry :) so far 2 months to go matatapos ko na and now i know how to be credit card debt free :D

^sis coordinate with the bank kaso kasi Citibank.. yung mom ko kasi tinanong ko regarding sa kuya ko, preferred client sya ng bpi so the manager ng branch nya yung nakipagcoordinate din sa head branch to help my mom settle my brother's account nakipaghaggle sya sa interest.

80k daw yung utang lang lumobo ng 150k nasettle ng 110k ayaw daw pumayag ng bpi na walang interest but she paid it in full na and my brother is banned in using CCs, actually may takot nadin sya. hehe!

sis joevicko, either you wait for 2 years para makuha ng law office you account mo, from 100k, pwede ka mag haggle, lowest is 10k :) or you pay in full or kagatin mo ang amnesty program nila. still, once na mag amnesty ka, deliquent padin yung account.
