^ayos naman sis. Sige check ko email ko. Natupad yun dream wedding ko, though meron pa rin flaws, overall success naman kami. Super nag enjoy mga guests sa food tsaka dun sa venue. Nagpost ako super habang experience ko nung wedding namin sa the simplest wedding one can imagine thread. Super simple lang kasi talaga ng wedding namin.

Ang alam ko hindi na pumapayag sa catholic na hindi sa church ang kasal kaya mostly ng garden wedding christian.

Thanks blackgreen! Mukang konti nga lang tayo dito Parang may nabasa kasi ako dati na pwede mag Catholic na garden wedding as long as nakasal na kayo in a church before. So ang plano ko sana wedding sa church na super simple lang, no entourage, rites only. 3-5k sa Manila Cathedral siya. Although, wala pa ko nakakausap na priest na pwede or willing mag perform ng ceremony sa garden wedding. Gusto ko kasi sana sa garden. Bukod sa mas tipid pag 1 location lang, yun talaga yung gusto ko noon pa.

Going to Baguio on the 22nd para bisitahin ang Frangeli! First step namin to as preparations for our wedding. Kaka-excite, sana dumami tayo dito.

Hi, plan din namin mag Baguio wedding, sa Jan 2018 pa naman.. 2 years from now.. pero since overseas ako, naghahanap hanap na ako ng suppliers…
Sa church, either St joseph or yung sa PMA and bet ko… or meron pa ba kayu girls na alam na maliit lang na church. Ayoko kasi ng huge na simbahan.. konti lang kasi kami…

And reception, saan ba pwede mag garden reception na gabi ang event? Kasi parang nakita ko lang is
BCC, CJH and Frangeli… or kayanin kaya ng visitors na mag evening events sa labas considering na January sya..

Event stylist / florist -  may ma recommend po ba kayu na from Baguio ?

Sis kbarbie taga baguio ka ba or malapit na town?  Or destination wedding ka? BCC s inside CJH while Frangeli House is in Bakakeng. I have the rates of BCC pero not sure kung updated though. Sa florist ang magaling daw e si Efren Bacawat.

Sis Jaddems magpreprenup ka lang ba dito sa baguio or pati p/v prenup mo dito? John hay ang pinakacommon na prenup area dito at walang bayad dun.

Got married last December and we’re very happy with all our Baguio-based suppliers. Below are the suppliers we got and a short review about them.

Venue: Baguio Country Club (Forbes Ballroom) – The place is very spacious (I think it can accommodate at most 400 pax) Most importantly, it is beautiful and elegant as it is; this is why we opted not to drape it already. 

Caterer: Baguio Country Club – Food was excellent. All of our guests were very pleased with the food, from the cold appetizers to the desserts. Moreover, there was more than enough food for everyone. 

Coordinator: Viva La Events by Jamie Santos & Jomai Arnaiz – I must say that they’re good at what they do. They were very organized and helped a lot in terms of ensuring that things run smoothly during our wedding day. They were also good at troubleshooting and quickly resolving problems to prevent us from getting stressed out. We greatly appreciate how they found a way to fix our flower girl’s dress which had a major zipper problem. They are one of the trusted wedding organizers in Baguio. They also have a good reputation at St. Joseph Pacdal (which is known for being strict when it comes to weddings) as well as in BCC.

Photographer: Owen & Nikka Wedding Photography – What I particularly like about Owen & Nikka is that their pictures look authentic (not too edited) and refreshing. Aside from being great at what they do, they’re also very kind and easy to deal with. As my husband and I are based in Manila, we mainly communicated with them through email/sms. We only got to meet them face to face on our prenup shoot. The great thing is that even if it was just our first meeting, they were able to make us comfortable in front of the cam. They’re actually one of our favorite suppliers and we highly recommend them.

Videographer: El Garahe Studios – This team makes great SDEs and we are very happy with ours. Paul and his team are really great at this. Like with Owen & Nikka, we only communicated with Paul through the net and met him only during our wedding day. During the preps, they responded to all our queries quickly and patiently. During the wedding day, they made the shoot fun and hassle-free for us. We’re really glad we got these guys!

Florist/Stylist: Soulscent Floral Artistry by Judette Morte – Judette is heaven-sent! She exceeded our expectations! We were just so blown away with the work that she put into our wedding. Our guests were raving about how beautiful the styling was. Apart from the excellent work that she did, she was also very accommodating and agreed to work with our budget. Moreover, she’s very easy to talk to and she’s very kind (she even lent us stuff for our prenup shoot). I must say that she’s one of the best suppliers we had. Highly recommended!!!

HMUA: Loreto Dacoron – Lor did my makeup for both the prenup and wedding day. He was with Dianne Alcantara who worked on my hair. On both occasions, they both did a great job! I particularly loved my makeup/look during the wedding and got a lot of compliments from my guests. Thanks to these two talented people. 

Wedding Cake: Love at First Bite by Eloisa Buenavista – Her cake and cupcakes were yummy!!! For someone who’s not really very fond of cakes, I really liked everything she baked. She’s also very artistic. She was able to create the “design” we wanted for our cake and cupcakes.
 
Other Baguio-based suppliers we got were Jonas Mojica (Host), Oh Snap Photo Booth (Photobooth) and Audio Enhance (Lights & Sound). These suppliers also did not disappoint us .

I would also like to mention that for the gowns of my abays I got infinity gowns because I wanted something they can still use after the wedding. I got the gowns from Zalby, another great supplier (not Baguio-based though). Her gowns exude excellent workmanship (halatang hindi tinipid sa tela at hindi rin minadali). Most importantly, the fit of the gowns on my abays was perfect (considering I just emailed her their measurements). What I also liked about Zalby was that she agreed to send me swatches even if I made no commitment to book her yet. Also, she schedules fittings unlike other infinity gown suppliers (but my abays weren’t able to go to her shop). Transacting with her was so hassle-free. Perhaps the only difficulty one might encounter is going to her shop to pick up the gowns since it’s located in Cainta (pero worth it naman )

sis grrrlscout, I have some friends who had garden Catholic weddings. Ang alam ko is kakilala kasi nila [textspeak!] priests so they made arrangements.

sis kbarbie, initially gusto rin namain ng garden wedding tapos Jan din yung target date namin dapat. Pero nag-opt kami na mag-indoor venue nalang kasi malamig tapos may mga oldies kami na guests hehe... For coordinators, you can check out Viva La Events. For stylists, tama si sis mikky21, si efren bacawat ang matunog sa Baguio esp sa BCC. Siya rin yung unang nirecommend nung coords namin pero di na siya available nung kinontact namin. So, we got Judette of Soulscent instead and super happy naman kami kasi magaling din siya.

sis Jaddems, sa CJH kami nagprenup and walang bayad. Since gusto namin na may indoor venue kami, binook namin yung Forest Cottage (managed by the owners of Forest House) kasi maganda [textspeak!] interiors niya medyo mahal nga lang siya kasi 5k yung binayad namin for 2 hours pero [textspeak!] 2500 consumable naman. So after shoot, sa Forest House na kami nagdinner.

Sis ems_thorne pwede ko ba matanong yung rates ng BCC and if you happen to know kung nag-aaccept sila ng outside caterer? I havent heard of Judette of Soulscent yet pero san sila nakabase and may rates ka pa rin ba nila? TIA!

sis mikky21, I dont think tumatanggap sila ng outside caterer. Yung rates na asa akin pang 2015 pa, I think nagtaas na sila for 2016 accdg to our coordinator. Pero ang maganda kasi sa BCC is marami silang menu selections and yung cheapest I think is at 550/head for buffet. Sulit din naman talaga yung food kasi masarap and marami. You can email BCC at events@bcc.com.ph to get a copy of their recent packages. Mabilis din naman silang sumagot.

Soulscent is Baguio-based. Her process is, you send her your pegs then she makes a quote based on your pegs. You can also inform her about your budget and she's going to give suggestions on how to work with your budget to achieve the style you want. She has an FB page but she rarely updates it. I can send you her email add if you want.

Thanks sis! I already sent them an email. But can you please send me BCC's wedding packages for 2015 if you still have them with you? If you dont mind.  Para lang i have a basis while waiting for their reply. What i heard kasi e their rate is 900 per pax tapos they charge 30k for the rental fee regardless of the # of pax. ngayon ko lanv nalaman na may 550 per pax din pala sila. I would only be having 80 pax at max siguro 100 pax.

Im torn between getting Viva La Events and Level-Up. Anong service kinuha mo sa Viva La Events? I might just be getting OTD kasi hands-on naman ako.

Sis, 2014 pa pala yung rates na asa akin hehe pero yun yung rate na inapply sa amin. Please PM your email add. Hindi ko kasi alam kung pwedeng mag-attach ng file via PM dito.

Yes, iba pa yung rental fee for the venue. Although meron silang iba't ibang function rooms I think. Tapos yung rental fees kasi nila ay mas mura pa ata sa Frangeli kaya nagdecide nalang kami na magBCC.

I got VLE's semi-full coordination. Actually, hands-on din ako so narealize ko na kahit OTD nalang pala kinuha ko. Pero okay lang din naman kasi naipasa ko yung ibang tasks sa kanila nung gahol na ako sa oras. Haven't heard about Level-Up pa eh. Bago ba sila? Nung nagprep ako, yung nagpaconvince sa akin to get them is yung fact that VLE also handles events for SM Baguio. Tapos yung feedback ng SIL ko na nagwork for SM, maayos silang maghandle ng events talaga.

Isa din sa pinakasikat ang Level-Up coordination sis pero mas mabilis magreply ang VLE compared sa kanya. Tapos mas mahal siya ng konti. Nagsend ako ng message sa ibang suppliers mo dati pa kaya lang wala naman silang reply. Pano mo sila nacontact? Or mostly recommended ni VLE?
