nice to know about this. but i hope they will also open other branches later on - like in Robinson's Magnolia or in Trinoma - to cater to the clients who are from the north.

yey! after long wait magkakaroon na talaga ng H&M manila. Sana affordable yung mga items nila at hindi overpriced. At sana magbukas sila ng maraming branches na accessible sa lahat.

^ true sis!!  dapat magkaroon sila ng branches (kahit sa mga major malls) para maging accessible sa lahat - that is, if they want their products to be supported by the buying public. i mentioned this kasi one of my FB friends happily posted na mago-open na nga ang H&M in manila. then one of her friends commented na "this is sad.. everybody will be wearing H&M na.. "... personally, i got irked kasi parang napaka-arrogant naman ng dating.. ayaw ko na lang sagutin kasi i don't want to start a word war on my friend's wall.. hehe.. sa akin lang, if people have the capacity to buy, then let them..

Narinig ko din yang comment na yan sa ilang friends ko haha.  And yes, it is kinda arrogant kasi hindi naman pang mayaman lang ang H&M.  Sa H&M US nga may tig $10 jeans sila which is roughly P500 so very affordable dba?  Pero alam nyo naman ang ibang Pinoy.  Pag galing abroad feeling mahal at sosyal na haha.   I like H&M not because of brand prestige, but because the clothes are nice and fun and well-made na din for the price.

^ true sis.. sa H&M HK nga, kung mag-sale sila, daig pa nila ang Giordano eh.. so i don't think it's really an uber-sosyal brand na dapat maging exclusive to a few lang.. ako naman sis, i would like to have H&M in Manila, kasi from what I bought in their HK branch, laid-back yet fun yung designs nila, plus they also cater to the not-so-sexy-but-not-so-heavy sizes (like me!  ) kaya sobra kong inaantay na mag-open sila manila.

@slickchick and manhattanite, H&M na ang bagong F21. I remember nung bagong open palang F21 andami na rin reaction na kesyo sosyal daw sa F21... eh susme pag nasa ibang bansa ka naman its just an ordinary clothes store. I know sa mga US mags ang F21 and H&M is one of the affordable clothes and accessories you can pattern from designer looks.

Ang yabang naman ng iba, eh hindi naman super sosyal mamili sa H&M. I agree alam mo naman ang iba pag hindi find ang brand dito at sa abroad lang nabibili eh sosyal na.

Excited lang ako kasi andami magagandang clothes and accessories sa H&M. Prices do vary din pero most of it are affordable. Sana hindi sya kasing mahal ng American Eagle na kahit gustong gusto mo yung damit eh mapapa-isip ka kung worth ba mag splurge sa 1.5k na shirt or top

Sana nga mag spread out ang H&M at hindi lang isang mall ang meron. Ang saya kasi pag maraming branches dahil pwede ka tumingin kung san ka malapit at pag wala yung hinahanap mo pwede ka punta sa ibang branch. Pupusta ako ang haba ng pila nyan sa opening...

sana nga di pricey ang H&M items sa manila..
Dito sa Japan mura din mga prices sa H&M..lagi din sale..
I can buy shirt for only 200 pesos..

Any news as to who's bringing H&M to Manila? Sana hindi Rustan's, coz they tend to jack up the prices of the brands they bring to the Philippines. I hear the first branch will be in Megamall. Nyaaak ang layo. Hopefully they open one in Makati or Fort eventually.

I think some people lang kasi look forward to buying H&M when going abroad. It's not so much about the price but the specialness lang of the opportunity, pwede pasalubong and so on. Ako din when I go abroad H&M lang happy na ako, maganda at mura pa! Ngayon… um, wala na ako favorite abroad store hehe. Hanap ng bago!

I like H&M kasi affordable siya and pwede na yung quality. Plus pag nag sale, sale talaga. Yun lang Megamall is too far for me. Tatamarin akong pumunta niyan. Kaya sana magtayo sila somewhere sa north like Trinoma.

I agree with this! super sarap to be able to buy relatively inexpensive stuff to give as presents and hindi siya locally available. people won't say na ay bat mura or worse, go to the shop and check the price! but happy that they will FINALLY open here, it's about time!

i wonder how many floors ang H&M store dito? coz usually multi-level ang mga stores nila sa HK and i think its a requirement of H&M to have multiple levels when they do open a store...

hopefully magkaroon din sila sa the fort at sa south parang F21 meron sa SM Aura ang laki pa ng store nila. hehe.
