Personally, I just buy comfy yoga/workout clothes sa department store, mostly sa Sassa. I agree with the previous post, gusto ko rin nagfifit kasi and maraming options.

Since I go to yoga class 4-5 times a week, I invested in Lululemon and Zobha capris. They really make a difference. I used to wear ordinary black leggings lang kaso they were too sheer for the yoga asanas. Kapag nag-downward facing dog ako, wala na, kita na yung butt ko. Yung mga capris from Sasa naman chafe sa inner thighs and the waistband will roll down during some poses. Since Lululemon and Zobha specialize in yoga wear, their capris and leggings do not chafe the skin, are stretchy enough for more challenging poses, and are able to wick the sweat off the body.

For the tops, I wear lang sports bras and dri-fit tops from Old Navy, etc. I used to wear ordinary cotton t-shirts, kaso since I sweat a lot (yung tipong pwede nang pigain yung shirt after yoga), the t-shirts tend to smell and become heavy due to the sweat. So dri-fits tops talaga are the way to go.

If you intend to do yoga 3 or more times a week and you really intend it to be part of your lifestyle, I suggest investing in yoga active wear. Pero if you're just trying it out muna, ordinary exercise clothes will do.

^ oo nga ano, yung mga pang yoga ko na outfit, yung pants, hindi nga sila bumababa sa likod kapag nagb bend ka forward or what.  I have VS yoga pants, they are comfy and nice.

I practice yoga at least three times a week, two in a class and the rest at home. I buy my yoga pants in the states (hoarding!) since they're way lot cheaper and of good quality. Not necessarily branded. Ang importante sa akin is I'm comfortable and they stay up.

For yoga tops, tank tops/racer backs over a comfy sports bra. I get most of my tops from Old Navy and Athleta when they go on sale. Minsan din sa Groupon or nomorerack, they sometimes have 12 tops for $30 only! 

For my mats, I've invested in Gaiam yoga mats. I like it that they have different thickness, I got their 5mm ones for here (kinder to my knees) and their 3mm for travel. Got their grippy towel mats na rin.

- Old Navy, Forever 21 and Cotton On have nice yoga tanks which can be cinched at the waist para sa inversions.
- you can never go wrong with Nike
- Lorna Jane makes nice yoga clothes also. Unique pa mga designs. I believe LJ's are available at Certified Calm
- Moving Comfort sports bra for ladies with bigger cup size. Very supportive daw according to my friend
- Under Armour
- Lululemon but not locally available

^ sis @jenrb, how do you purchase your Lululemon yoga clothes? Have you tried buying Lululemon online and then have it shipped to the Philippines? I want to buy some stuff but I want to make sure door to door siya and no additional taxes/duties once the package gets here.

i usually buy my clothes sa Aura Athletica and Certified Calm. Fan ako ng Zobha, Tonic saka Omgirl.  I tried buying Sassa before pero nadisappoint ako sa quality ng cloth nya.

For my Mat, Jade and Manduka yoga mat.

Anybody tried buying clothes from www.etsy.com? okay ba yung site? parang na curious kasi ako sa designs ng mga yoga shirts dun.

also, any tips in buying yoga mat? i bought one yung tig 500 since i am a beginner, pero may nakita ako more than 2k and makapal sya, i think mas ok yun? but then whatelse should i look for in a yoga mat aside from it being makapal? thanks

I invest on quality yoga clothes like Onzie (their tops feel like second skin!) and Shakti (I love wearing their sidestring shorts) because it makes a difference talaga if you're a regular practitioner. Tried Pink Salmon Clothing and it was a disappointment :p At least for someone who does bikram, it wasn't right (straps keep sliding off, etc). Okay siguro yun kung gyms lang.

I have yet to try tops from Cotton On. Once nag-fit ako sa F21 and like most of their clothes, laging sablay talaga sa size Weird lang.

@honeybunny - Certified Calm sis in BGC! Usually nasa 2K pataas na ito per piece. Mahal siya like most branded yoga clothing pero sulit. Never had a problem with Onzie

If you're new to yoga, I don't recommend buying agad the expensive mats. Ok na the cheap ones muna but as you progress into your practice, you'll find characteristics that you will be looking for in a mat, which will depend on your unique needs. I think if it's for home practice and you don't intend to travel with it, go for something that will offer good cushioning and check din the density of the mat kasi there are cheap mats na makapal but when you knees na, lumulubog sya so parang wala din. If you'll be traveling naman, portability and weight of the mat are considerations. For me important din na sticky yung mat because I don't like being distracted during practice my hands do tend to get sweaty kaya minsan nagsi-slip during downward dog. Hope this helps.
