hi sis! I'm doing project life but I'm not using BH product. I started 2011 pa and I have my pages here

tips on how to finish PL album

1. Wag mag hoard ng PL supplies (digital, hybrid or printed) I assure you na ma overwhelm ka sa pag pili pa lang ng journaling cards. isama mo pa yung time na mawwaste sa pagpili sa iba pang materials na gagamitin mo.

What I usually do is I create a monthly folder for PL supplies sa PC then instead of buying I download free journaling cards. (Freebies pa lang buhay ka na!) I make sure na yung dinowload eh talagang ipprint and gagamitin ko for the month. The following month bagong folder na naman and cycle continue. Paminsan minsan nag pprint ako ng cards/embellish sa mga naunang buwan pero madalas syempre kung anong month yung ginagawa dun ako maghhanap ng supplies.

2. photos overload.  yung bang eksena na may family gatherings kayo tapos wala ka ng ginawa kundi kumuha ng pics na pag na print eh wala ka. hindi mo na rin nagawang eenjoy ang moment kakaisip kung ano yung mga pics na pwede sa project life.

I recommend a few shots for each moment na gusto mo macapture. gumamit ng tripod at timer para naman kasama ka sa pic. bakit few shots lang? Kasi ikaw din ang mahihirap mamili once na load mo na sa pc yung mga pics. mag wwaste ka naman ng time pag ganun.

3. Do your own thing. OK lang kumuha ng inspiration sa iba. google mo lang project life ideas dami lalabas. Super popular ngayon ang PL kaya may chance na ma overwhelm ka just by browsing online galleries.

I suggest, na gawin mo yung pages mo kung saan ka di mahihirapan at ma iistress. remember 12 months na project eto. kailangan committed ka. promise worth it talaga.

4. Plan your PL pages. Nasa iyo kung gusto mo ng monthly o weekly. Kung ano ang mag wwork sayo yun ang formula mo pero hindi sa lahat ng oras magiging effective eto kaya kung napapansin mo na nag iistruggle ka na sa pag gawa it's time na palitan mo ang strategy. wag kang mag-alala mas makakatulong ang pag papalit ng plano kaysa sa pagstay sa plan na hindi na gumagana. Maiiwasan mo na mag ka backlog.

^Thank you Sis for this very detailed advise.  Problem ko talaga eversince yang paghohoard hahah! I didn't buy the physical kit pero I bought the digital kits from project digital by Becky Higgins kase nagsale sila last weekend.

But I didn't buy everything yung favorites ko lang - midnight, blush, jade and seafoam.  Hindi din full kits binili ko -- gusto ko lang kase yung filler, title cards and front & last page cards.  I've printed them na in a 200gsm paper.  I tried 160gsm pero medyo manipis sya.  Satisfied naman ako sa 200gsm.

I bought the necessary items such as paper trimmer, glue dots, tiny stapler, clear stamps and a couple of inks.... at washi tapes pala.  I'm planning kase on using the plain journal cards instead of the colorful ones

Excited na ako sa project na ito.  I hope matapos ko

What do you do pala Sis if may weeks na wala ka masyadong pictures?

Bought my Project Life Core Kit by Becky Higgins from Crafty Hattie. But, wala pa akong binder. Been searching sa National Book Store but didn't find one. It's either i'm looking in a wrong store or wrong section.

Where can I buy a binder para sa Project Life ko.

^Sis I am not in the Philippines right now, but visit berryscrappy.com she also does Project life and I know GTalker din sya. She might help you with supplies related questions.

Ako din wala pang album, pero ok lang mas important yung page Protectors para you can put na your cards and pictures.  Hindi pa kase available dun sa online store na based dito sa Dubai yung albums na gusto ko.

Sinimulan ko na yung Travel Album ko using the PL cards.  I'm still struggling to know what style I want.  Hopefully by the time magstart na ako sa PL 2014 album, alam ko na ang gusto ko.

^Sis you might want to consider ordering sa Singapore or if you happen to go there may craft store na pinupuntahan si Leena Loh (findingnana.com) you might find the 12x12 binder.

Same tayo Sis! I will start PL din this coming January.  I started actually last year for about two weeks haha! but that was digital.  And then di ko na na-continue.

But now that I'm doing hybrid -- i so love it!  natapos ko na 3 2-page spread ko for the travel album.  Buti ka Sis nakeep mo yung mga plane stubs, etc.  ako waley! sayang, but ok lang may next time pa naman.

Same as your plan, nakaseparate ang travel pictures namin, pati yung mga staycation kasama sa travel album.  Although di naman ako pala travel before but I'm planning to for the coming years.  Its about time  

Ako stop na sa paghoard ng PL cards (actually digital yung mga binili ko and I just print them) kase I am slowly finding what I want.  Love ko talaga yung layouts ni Leena! 

Right now addicted ako sa thickers and stamps...and washi tapes.  Can't get enough of those!

What do you do pala Sis if may weeks na wala ka masyadong pictures?

Nothing. Hinahayaan ko lang sis. Minsan ganun talaga. may mga araw na dumadaan lang and you have to go with it. Minsan may mga events na hindi ako nag ttake ng pics. I just want to savor the moment with family and friends then kapag iddocument ko na tapos walang pic I just do longer journaling and besides sa mga events naman halos lahat may cam so I just ask for a copy of our pics.

I am enjoying it so much sana tuloy tuloy ito.  Malapit ko na matapos ang week 1.

^Sis I'm using the following pens for journalling.  I don't write on the photos.  Not sure din if the other pens aside from the Becky Higgins one is ok for archival purposes (and other concerns of scrapbookers)

Becky Higgins Project Life Precision Pens
Staedler triplus fineliner
Uni Compo
Stabilo (not sure if fineliner din ito)

These pens ay yung parang felt tip.  The Becky Higgins PL Precision Pens can write on washi tapes, never tried it on photos.  Pero yung ibang pens nabubura sya if susulat ako on washi or photos.

^Sis the store is in DIP, near Jebel Ali.  Creative Minds yung name nung store.  May mga PL products na tinda sila.  the 3 pens in that set is 45dirhams ata.

They have a website with instructions on how to get to their store.

I buy online yung http://prettypaperstudiouae.myshopify.com/  tapos meron din sa may Jumeirah Road na store Paperlane na located inside a small shopping centre near Mercato Mall.

But if I were you Sis, mas maganda bumili sa USA if may kamag-anak ka dun kase ang laki ng patong nila sa mga craft products dito sa Dubai.

I actually purchased my embellishments --- thickers, stickers, wood veneers, enamel dots  ---- sa twopeasinabucket  kase when I compared the prices even with the shipping fee mas nakamura ako kung sa states ako bibili. Lalo na kapag maramihan.

I know there are also stores dyan sa Pinas.  Or if you have relatives sa Singapore, I've seen a lot of craft stores there as well and mas updated yung products nila compared dun sa stores here in Dubai.
