I usually give food lang because I don't want to give individual gifts. We order a big paella for their Christmas dinner (we don't join them for noche Buena). we give gifts to the kids lang. But the sisters/brothers in law, wala na.

My parents in-law are well-off & low-profile.  They frown on flashy gifts.  Kaya I personally enjoy giving them gifts.  Challenging eh, hindi basta  puede "tapalan".  Hehe

For pop in law --  that  thing with 1000 blue ray movies.  (1 of his faves: de Niro in Once Upon A Time In America
For  mom in law --  the new IPad  mini loaded with photos of her children's families & their annual family photos.  She can easily bring it around & show her photos, and take more photos.

for the major in-laws (as in first / immediate family hehe) before, individual ako nagreregalo. pero last year, I started with a group gift, Christmas basket na lang. kids naman, isa lang ang nephew ko sa immediate family so ok lang na may separate gift. ang marami ako, titas/cousins in law huhuhu individual gifts, kasi karamihan sa kanila inaanak namin ng husband ko

^^sa amin yes, lahat merong gifts, ultimo helpers ng inlaws ko plus their kids binibigyan din namin..we celebrate christmas kasi sa house nila so lahat ng tao sa kanila may gift din from us ni hubby

I only give sa parents-in-law, yung mga pamangkin naman, kunting cash lang, sa mga brothers/sis - I don't give.

this coming holidays, magbabakasyon kami but none of our family know, both sides, it will be surprise! for my MIL - I bought wrist watch and a bag, for Father-in law - watch and perfume.
then the rest sa mga pamangkin na.

Since the inlaws are abrod, we just order online and have it delivered to them. Usapan namin is that we get to chose what we give to our parents basta we set a similar budget.

MIL - Hair curler/straightener

It's really hard to give gifts to people who can afford to buy anything they want. I'm always on the look out for things that needs replacement. 

For [textspeak!], his bally wallet needs to be replaced, so I got him a damier wallet
For MIL, I got her a zippy coin purse for her credit cards.  The bags are too expensive pa.
