BIR and DTI Registration for Online Businesses

Hi sisses! Has any of you registered your online businesses with BIR and DTI? I am actually starting up with my new online store reselling stuff this December and by chance, saw an article on the issue here on Female Network. Any information is appreciated. Pwede ba na sa akin nakapangalan yung BIR Permit ng business ng hubby(di pa kami kasal) ko?  Sa kanya nakapangalan yung business namin pati DTI kaya lang sa BIR kasi may balance pa siya from previous business niya na hindi naman nag -market. Malaki yung balance niya sa BIR di pa bayad so iniisip niya kung pwede baka sa akin nakapangalan yung BIR Permit..

Hi Sis, yes sa iyo na lang i name yung registration for now, kase hindi makaka open ng branch ang isang company pag meron mga open cases eh... need muna ayusin kahit paunti unti yung registration ni partner para maka open ng branch naka dikit kase ang TIN number nya dun. Tapos sis mag file na kyo monthly sa bir ng need nya i file ha para wag mag accumulate yung penalties niya. Goodluck sis!

Hi everyone! I have just started my home-based travel agency and I have secured all the needed permits for sole proprietorship. The process of securing the permits (DTI, Barangay Permit, Mayor's Permit, BIR Registration) are almost the same, except that you don't have a physical office. In my case, I used my residential address as the business address, then the BIR will just ask a photo of your home office.

registered in DTI online a few weeks ago, sole proprietorship. ok naman payment thru GCash or DTI Teller. mas nahirapan pa akong maghanap ng GCash since down sa lahat ng 7-11 na napuntahan ko

Barangay = P200.00
City/Municipality = P 500.00
Regional = P 1,000.00
National = P 2,000.00

Hi, online business din ako. Planning to close na yung city government part kasi I was advised to just do freelance tapos multiple sources. Para BIR na lang. So under my name lang. Medyo mabigat ang bayarin sa city government and honestly nahihirapan na ako sa kanila sa mga computations na binibigay nila sa akin. Hindi depende sa kita ko, depende sa trip nila. Not to mention ang Fire Dept, medyo na bully ako dun. Kinuha lahat ng bago kong tanks, kasi expired kahit binili 4 days ago lang. Yung pala para sa kanila kumuha, sa business nila. Saklap. So anyone experienced closing sa city govt? Thanks!

Need advice din - setting up a corp with SEC - sa online business name registration, pinapapili ako what type of corp > profit or non-profit > then anong sector, etc. So chose profit, and retail trade not wholesale ang dapat piliin. Ano ba yun pinakaappropriate na category for household items na online retail?

Also, kapag online store, kelangan pa rin ba bumili ng kung ano ano from mayor's office tulad ng fire extinguisher? Base from @acqua's experience above, nakaka dismaya naman na ang babayaran na yearly renewal is pabago bago - or depende lang sa munisipyo (sa Cainta kami).

Hi yes tama trading lang yung need mo i click sa online name reservation then after mo ma reaerve name you have to go to sec na for payment sabay mo na din sis amg filing para isang puntahan mo lang sa sec... Then wait ka ng 1week for the release tapos punta ka na barangay to get your barangay clearance then cityhall to apply for permits, bring mo yung sec mo and barangay cert and yes need mo lang ng isang fire extinguisher para sa fire
