Baby ko bihira pero minsan pagnakatulog habang nadede ganun siya may lalabas na milk pag bumuka bibig hehe pero bihirang bihira.

^^ i had my breastfeeding seminar sa Medela House, kasama ko si hubby. This weekend yata me Breastfeeding 101 uli sa Medela House.

Nagseseminar din sa mga bf-friendly hospitals like St. Luke's, Cardinal, Medical City, etc..

Fenugreek take it after you give birth. Wife is down to one cap per day kasi over supply sa milk sakit na boobs nya. Thanks for the reply regarding the milk in mouth.

Yesterday is our 4th month of bf journey and i hope we could continue until mag 3 yrs si lo. Planning to take fenugreek kasi nauuntian ako sa stash ko. Yung inexpress ko today yun ang icoconsume niya the next day, kaso sakto lang wala akong extra na nakukuha. Gusto ko din sana madagdagan yung frozen bm ko.

I think ok lang naman. Basta when you go home, lagay mo lang sa thermal bag with ice gel packs para ma-maintain ang lamig. Then ref agad pagkauwi mo.

My baby now has 8 teeth. He bit me when he was teething for the first time. Mga 3x and never happened na again. Thank God. Ako gusto ko na mag wean by 1. He's 10 mo ths now. He still aint taking formula kahit first feed of the day and si yaya ang magbigay ng bottle. Inisip ko i'll just cross my fingers and pray he weans by himself early. He drinks from a sippy and straw cup well so parang ayaw ko narin to re train him to drink from the bottle. 1 year lang talaga ang goal ko but i think i'll be forced to extend. I read some threads na mothers saying they just dried up. Any stay at home moms here who just dried up?

Hello! Ano pinaka okay na brand ng breast pump? I was initially eyeing Pigeon pero sabi medyo may kamahalan daw. How about its quality? Ok lang na mahal for me basta okay naman ang quality. Any feeedback sa Pigeon product? Thanks! =)

Hi mommies. Just wondering, is there anyone here who was able to extract some colostrum before giving birth?

^ sa pagkakaalam ko sis, the actual colostrum will only be produced by the body once the placenta detaches upon birth. Some have leaking episodes while pregnant pero di pa daw yata colostrum yun..

Yup i know the colustrom only happens once you give birth na. It is not secreted before giving birth.

Ok. I've been reading articles on antenatal breast expression, normally done on the 37th week or later. It seems that some women in the UK and in the States are advised to pre-express some milk or colostrum before birth especially if there is a risk of their babies being born with hypoglycemia (i.e. GD moms or those with pre-existing diabetes). They extract a small amount that can normally be stored in small syringes to be orally administered to their babies if needed instead of giving the baby sugar water or formula to regulate blood sugar.

Anyway, I am a diabetic mom, 35 weeks along, with very good blood sugar control naman and I just wanted to know if anyone had done antenatal breast expression here. Looks like, it's not a practice.

For those moms whose breasts leak before giving birth, anyone know what that is then, if it is not milk or colostrum?

^ Pre-milk pa lang siya if leaking ka na before giving birth. Based on what I read actual colostrum is released when the placenta is detached na.

Going 33 weeks nako and pansin ko, May leak din sa breast ko. Tried to use breast pump if it's real, tapos May lumabas na Konti. Clear naman siya so I think Hindi siya colostrum. Sabi ng mom ko, fluid tissue lab daw yun. Minsan lang naman. I don't know if naexperience din to ng iba.
