Just wanna ask if meron po using lactation aids? What brand and what kinds are recommended. Or it's not recommended at all? Just wanna know lang po kasi Im worried that I wont have enough. Also, I
Don't remember any member of my family na nag stick with breasfeeding, genetic kaya ito? Worried lang. Tia

nope. breastfeeding is more of a mother's will than anything else. without it, talagang magsstop ka. if a mother choose to breastfeed, regardless of the circumstance, magbbreastfeed yan. maraming moms ang challenging ang situation pero nakapag breastfeed parin. inverted nipples, relactation, etc. first few weeks of breastfeeding is the hardest part. ito yung nadepress ako kasi pakiramdam ko wala na akong ibang gagawin sa buhay ko. i felt to deprived of my own needs nun kasi pati pagwiwi, hindi ko magawa. eventually it became easier and now i chose to resign from work para makapag breastfeed ako.

when i was still pregnant, i made a choice to breastfeed my baby. knowing na walang kapalit ang breastfeeding, i decided na i want to be informed. kahit parang ang basic and it looks simple. it's not. i joined breastfeeding pinays and dun ko halos natutunan lahat. everything i learned from that group is what made me stick to what i'm doing. kahit hiraaap na hirap ako nung una. i know kasi if i stop, i will have regrets.

^ How long were you able to maintain the milk supply?  I really hope I can do the same for my second baby (if and when magkaroon ulit).  Siguro fault ko din that I gave up on breastfeeding kasi it was getting too difficult for me to manage my time and check din my pumping schedule.  I'm always with clients so I can't be bringing out my pump tapos makikipagusap ako.

Sa next baby, I really hope to give enough time for myself to stabilise the milk supply.  I'm so jealous with other moms who were able to maintain and may abundance ng supply like the mom ngayon who is giving me milk.  Blessed her for her generosity.

Take fenugreek supplements. It was recommended by the wife of my cousin. I saw yung 2 kids nila kasi nung baby and parang mascot ng michelin tires. She told me she took fenugreek supplements. Grabe ang supply ng milk nya. If sumobra you have to cut down on the dosage.

Wifey had to cut down on fenugreek. From 3 a day to 2 nalang. Sobra dumami milk production. 2 days palang nya take.

The dosage is 3 per day with meal. I read on the net you can double it pag sobrang kulang milk mo. We bought it sa healthy options. 600+ per bottle.  She started at 3 per day then down to 2 na. We monitor her milk supply hirap din sumobra.

hello mommies. For those who took malunggay and fenugreek capsules, hindi ba humina dumede si baby sainyo? mine kasi is parang ayaw nya mag feed sakin when im on these pills eh. i wonder why since nung ok pa naman milk supply ko, wala namang problem. i take 2 of these pills twice a day. pinagsasabay ko. i got my fenugreek sa healthy options and [textspeak!] mom with folic acid for malunggay capsule. parang may bitter taste. so i wonder if it cause bitter taste din sa milk.

Anyone experienced the same? thanks!

hi sis i answered your question sa kabilang thread. hindi nakakahina ng milk supply ang fenugreek pero mas nakakadmai ng supply ang regular paglatch ni baby or pag express mo ng milk. It is a law of demand and supply.. and hindi mo din dito namention na mix feeding ka. you have to dicth the formlua. sayang naman naumpisahan mo. kaya laging tulog si baby kasi hirap katawan nya idigest ang cows milk. mataas din yun sa sugar.

@lioness so far no problem with our baby latching on. Only difference is i had wifey stop taking mallungay capsule when she started on fenugreek. So far still no change sa feeding habit ni baby and its been 5 days na since wifey is on fenugreek. Just out of curiosity i tried the milk now wala bitter taste. Maybe you should stop the mallungay muna. So far on fenugreek alone more than enough supply considering baby namin needs feeding every hour.

@ivy wala ba pumunta lactation manager? Pabili ka ng cream for nipple. Pigeon brand. They sell it sa infant section at SM. Lanolin cream sya. Otherwise pag nasugat nipple mo pwede mag infection.

@scubadoobidoo - walang lactation consultant sa antipolo docs. yung pedia ni baby sabi nia, breastmilk lang din daw ang the best to heal it. hingi na lang ako kay ate tomorrow. wala pa akong transitional milk eh.

Naku yung pump hindi pa na sukat. Hindi ka humingi sa hospital? Yup wipe your nipple with your breast milk. Mag fenugreek ka para dumami

@The Lioness, is baby bottle-fed? how old is your baby na? yung taste ng BM natin has nothing to do with our baby's change in feeding habits. naiiba lang yan if something changed sa routine nya. Like bottle fed na sya most of the time.

i've read your post sa kabilang thread and it seems to me you need to nurse your baby more often nasanay na sya sa bottle and may preference na sya. iba kasi mechanism ng bottle feeding sa breastfeeding. hihina rin supply mo when baby is no longer latching kasi they way they empty our breasts is totally different from breast pumps.

Question: do any of your babies have a tendency to store milk inside their mouth after breastfeeding?
