Plan ko din mag-BF once I gave birth. I'm preparing myself thru research and reading other experiences para kahit paano ready na ako. :) Sana makayanan and mapangatawanan.

Thanks!

hi sis hi_landprincess, go for breastfeeding! ;)

Try to add 'Breastfeeding Pinays' in facebook. You will learn alot from lots of mommies.

Good luck sis, breastfeeding is very beneficial for you and for your baby.

Sis @vain_kixie, i'm also sleep training my baby. 2 weeks and 3 days pa lang naman siya but the earlier one start the better. More challenging lang for us kasi i think she is colicky. Actually, kaya nya na matulog ng 5 straight hours sa gabi usually from 11pm to 4am. I just make sure she gets at least 8 feedings a day. During the day, i wake her up every 2 to 3 hours unless mauna siyang magising.

I fed every 2.5 hours then every 3 hours nung mga 3 weeks- 15 weeks na siya. Now that we're 6 months na i feed him 4 times a day(full feedings) nalang plus 2 solids. Sometimes i add another feed (dreamfeed). Hahaha sarap buhay. I cannot imagine kung unlilatch pa ako to this day. What book are you using?

^^ im using babywise. Nagpapa-unlilatch lang ako kapag colicky siya kasi i don't want to use a pacifier though kahapon almost every 2 hours ang latch niya. I guess nag-growth spurt siya which occurs on the 3rd week.

wow sis vain_kixie I salute you, grabe discipline ng baby mo. I wish baby ko ganyan din matulog para di puyat and exhausting.

Freelancer how old is your baby? Eventually naman they will all sleep through the night. I just chose to teach him to get us there early. It really helped me kasi i wasnt to stressed when it comes to breastfeeding him.

Sis marchbaby, sa booksale ako nakabili. 50 pesos nga lang bili ko eh.

Mahirap i-follow and there are times na hindi ko talaga nasusunod yung principle na feed-play/waketime-nap especially if colicky si baby but at least once or twice a day nagagawa ko siya. Achievement for me if i was able to do it.

I would like to breastfeed for as long as possible. Daming benefits, not only for baby but for me din. I think i'm losing weight faster than accepted. 3 weeks postpartum and i have already lost more than 15 lbs eh i just gained around 6-7 lbs for my whole pregnancy.

Another problem din is clothes. Siguro kapag nagpa-pump na ako, i can wear my old clothes since pwedeng may baon na lang na expressed milk kapag lalabas unless sobrang luwag na.

Breastfeeding is way manageable basta me maayos na support group. Para me idea din partner mo on the benefits and challenges that breastfeeding entails.

^sis, isama mo talaga si hubby mo. 3 weeks pa lang ako sa breastfeeding journey ko and i could say na if not sa support and encouragement ni hubby i would have given up easily. Para din maintindihan niya yung sacrifice na gagawin mo for your baby. Breastfeeding especially in the early days is quite difficult. CS ako so for 3 days limited lang talaga ang galaw ko so need dalhin sa akin si baby and si hubby talaga ang mag-aayos kay baby para maka-latch siya. Until now, sa middle of the night feedings i still ask hubby to get baby for me.
