^ yup sis, parang ganyan. Or minsan sa may ibabaw lang ng breast and portion ng face ni baby.. depende sa suot kong nursing clothes, kung saan ang access point.

belle4beauty sis yung pinagbilhan ko kahilera lang nung booth sa claiming ng swag bag. Dun kasi kami nagstart tapos namurahan nga ako kasi pag sa mall 500-600 price eh.

Hello mga sis... May  nakaexperience ba dito na magkaron ng eczema on both nipples while bfeeding?
I think i have this kasi since December na laging kinakagat ni daughter ang nipples ko, nagsugat sugat na.  Sobrang kati and nagpapalit balat siya which i thought is because of her kagat.  When i had my annual check up last December, i showed it to the dr. and she said na wala naman ako need ilagay kasi wala namang sugat or whatever.  Pero napapansin ko sometimes dumidikit yung nipps ko sa bra kasi may discharge yung sugat. Maliliit lang naman pero sticky siya.  Kaya ako nagisip na baka it's eczema.  What did you put on your nipples? And may natural remedy ba in case?

^Sis we were told by the lactation specialist na breastmilk ang natural remedy for sore and cracked nipples. I hope gumaling na siya sis. Would you be able to check with a lactation consultant kung ano yan? I hope gumaling na sis!

Sa akin, hindi effective ang breastmilk lang for sore and dry nipples. So I used Lanolin cream, I got one from Medela. So far, ok naman. Nilalagay ko yun lately after mag-unlilatch si baby (hapdi kasi sobra ng nips, esp since minsan kumakaskas na din sa nips yung teeth nya)..

Hi mga mommies! Might undergo CS kasi ayaw umikot baby ko :-( I have a friend na  CS and she shared how hard it was for her to breastfeed nung nasa hospital siya kaya with a heavy heart, she requested the hospital to give her baby formula milk and may emergency can din siya sa bahay just in case na ma-CS nga siya.

Ang tanong ko...may tips ba kayo mga mommies on how to breastfeed the baby...anong position, etc? Kasi I'm really determined na magbreastfeed and I've heard and read na pagCS it is not that easy. I want to be ready.

^ sis breastfeeding is possible kahit CS. marami sa breastfeeding pinay members ang nakapag ebf kahit mga cs sila. football hold sis so the baby and baby's weight won't be in your abdomen.

What is the connection of cs and problem with breastfeeding?  Either way, it is really difficult and painful to breastfeed.  Areola will feel dry and painful as he/she suctions out and there isn't enough milk yet.  My problem was I had to go back to work even though my breastmilk was not stable yet.  You need to be relaxed kasi and you have to pump or latch every 1 to 2 hours.  I was not able to do this consistently so after 5 months, my milk supply is deteriorating.

At st luke's, they offer breastmilk from other moms.  Just pay extra for one that is sterilised na.  Same with you, elective CS ako because of the position of the baby.

Thanks sis preggygielian, i bought extra vco yesterday, it was mentioned to my by a pedia na pwede daw ilagay sa nipples if nagsusugat and nagddry.  So itatry ko siya.  Like sis bagaholic_chewy, hindi din effective sa akin ang bmilk lang ang lalagay. 

About your question naman, ako CS ako on both of my daughters, i was able to BF both my daughters immediately naman.  Like as soon as gising na ko, nagtry na ko magBF.  Sa eldest ko kasi sobrang groggy ko na di ko na alam if they latched her to me nung nasa recovery room na ko, pero with my 2nd daughter, nakita ko na tinatry nila na ilatch siya.  So there, possible naman yan sis.  Masakit lang sa una especially pag di pa marunong maglatch si baby, pero pag marunong na, wala ng pain

@nicoletta: A lot of moms I've talked to said na hindi na nga madali magbreastfeed lalong naging mas mahirap pa pag CS dahil sa pain sa hiwa ng CS and that they're not so mobile...

@miminibebe: Thank you sis for sharing your experience -- I know it is possible na day 1 magbreastfeed - mahirap man pero kayang kaya, I really just want to be ready and ask for tips on how other moms have done it. Salamat salamat! It really really helped at mas nakampante ako. Sasabihin ko din kasi yang mga yan sa husband ko since hindi natin alam kung ano pakiramdam ko by then kung makakapagsalita ba or groggy like you. Nasa HK din kasi kami kaya important na maexplain ko din sakanya ng maayos ano sabihin niya sa team just in case I can't.

Sis preggygielian, CS ako and from day1 ebf si baby. Sa hospital struggle talaga, masakit buo katawan ko and hindi ako makakilos pero may naga-assist na nurse para ma-bf ko si baby. Nung una while nasa recovery room pa lang ako and groggy pa pina-latch sakin si baby as in pinatong sa breast ko ang lakas mag-suck ni baby infairness. Then while nasa hospital ang position lagi is lying on your side position since hirap pa ako tumayo si hubby din ina-assist nya ako sya ang nagpe-pwesto kay baby. Ang challenge sakin yung pag-switch ng side kasi diba kelangan i-offer naman yung kabila breast after ng isa feeding ni baby, ayun ang dami ko alalay na taga-biling sakin haha. Then nung umuwi na kami sa house nung first few days laging cradle hold ang position malaking help sa comfort ko ang nursing pillow or any pillow.

Kahit CS ka sis kayang kaya mo mag-bf wag ka susuko hehe. Masasanay ka din sa pain and I think sakin mas nakatulong para bumilis recovery ko dahil nagb-bf ako

^ true sis. nakaka help big time ang bf sa wound healing kasi it causes the uterus to contract, less din ang bleeding because of this.

excited na ako sis. pareho tayo, 40wks+ ako scheduled na CS hehe! i hoped for 37 weeks lang dahil i have history ng premature labor, pero sumobra ngayon ayaw na lumabas haha.

^korek sis, bumilis recovery ko kasi I need to be mobile agad since nagb-bf ako and no time na isipin na masakit ang sugat etc parang napilitan ako maka-recover agad haha.

I think whether you had a normal delivery or a CS delivery, breastfeeding will be difficult at first. Determination lang talaga. CS din ako and at first pinatong lang talaga nila across my chest si baby. Ganun kami until nakayanan ko na mag-side lying position. Then yung cradle hold nung naka-upo na ako. Nowadays, 2 weeks after giving birth, I still prefer the cradle hold. Malaking tulong ang nursing pillow especially during late night feedings when pagod na ang mga arms. Also pillows sa likod.

Hindi na ganun kasakit yung right nipple ko, yung left na lang ang medyo sore pa. Breastmilk and sometimes yung nursing comfort balm from mustela lang ang nilalagay ko sa nipples ko.

It is very difficult during the first month or two, after which parang wala na lang. 6 months breastfeeding here. Hindi totoo that breastfeeding babies are not capable of sleeping through the night. Mine did, 8 hours at 8 weeks and 12 hours at 15 weeks. I fed by schedule during the morning. I never had supply issues even if i did not feed by demand. Hindi lang uso kasi dito may sleep training. Pero laki ng ginhawa ko kasi it wasnt so exhausting for me anymore. I think im the only mother who is not fond of unli latch. Yung all night naka latch si baby and ginagawa kang paci.
