hi mga mommies! just gave birth last january 22 and im happy to say na kahit via CS ako nanganak eh i was able to ebf my baby. im also getting the hang of it na rin. maagang dumating din yung milk ko like on the 2nd day may milk na and not only colustrum. last sunday nag-engorge ang breast ko but with hot and cold compress, continuous latching with baby, and saglit na pag-pump to empty my breast okay na siya.

im hoping to do this till we decide to have our 2nd baby.

^ sis i'm so happy for you. kahit hindi nasunod exactly ang plan mo for nsd e ibinigay naman sayo ang blessing ng smooth na breastfeeding kay baby. sana ganyan din ako when I give birth (at sana manganak na ako! i'm so excited to see my little one)

Im happy for you sis! Kainggit. Sana ao rin ebf. Ang tagal pala pag last few weeks. Although april3 pa edd ko. Nakakaexcite! 😄

vain_kixie - i feel you sis! Just like you I tried to give FM kay LO. Kasi syempre di natin masasabi, lalo na't exclusively pumping ako. We tried s26 and Enfapro pero naku po ayaw ni baby. haha! Yung natikman nya, naka 1oz, maya maya sinusuka nya. Iba kasi talaga ata lasa ng FM, and yung amoy, grabe ang tapang. hindi sya yung sweet na amoy eh, basta parang may kakaibang smell. Congratulations pala sis!

Wow grabe sinuka niya talaga.. wawa naman si baby. I tried again yung first morning feed, ayaw talaga. Imagine after sleeping for long hours,im sure gutom na gutom siya, isang suck lang ayaw niya. Nag try ako ng ibang brand kasi sabi ni pedia panget daw talaga lasa ng hydrolized whey (nan hw), so ng try ko ng bonamil para cheap lang. Aba ayaw lunukin, he sucked it once na tapos asa mouth lang niya yung liquid. Give up muna ako sa formula. No choice ako but to exclusively breastfeed. Pag pray ko nalang na mag wean siya by 1 because i do not see myself breastfeeding him until 2. Wonder how it seems easy for other babies to take formula. I know breastfeeding is still best pero alam mo yun, its just nice to have a choice. And it saddens me that it seems for now i have no choice.

Mga sis,  paano malalaman kapag empty na ang breast kapag pumping ka? Kada pump ko 2 or 1 oz lang nakukuha ko,  5 days palang si baby ko.  Flat nipples kasi ako at di talaga siya nakalatch so no choice ako i have to pump kesa naman FM na pure bigay ko..  So far once a day lang siya nakakainom ng FM pero tama lang ba yung nilalabas na milk ko?  Gusto ko kasi sana magipon ng milk medyo nakakapagod din kasi manual pump.  Is it time na din ba to take supplements?

After 5 minutes na wala ng lumalabas i stop pumping na. If you want to increase your output google power pumping. Its not advisable to pump early, dapat daw 6 weeks post partum but since your baby doesnt latch on you i guess okay na to power pump.

^ yup, try power pumping sis. both breast ba inverted nipple? ok din kasi mag pump while baby is breastfeeding sa isang breast.

if dual pump kaya gamit will that increase the yield? it might help kapag sabay.

I saw a post sa BFP sa facebook about how others let their partners suck their boobies para ma unclog/to start production/to pull out yung inverted nipple. Has anyone here tried that? Natatawa ako kasi akala ko biro biro lang meron pala talagang pinapadede muna si mister tapos si baby, although I don't think na gagawin ni hubby yun masyado syang maarte.haha

Yung pedia ko ginamitan ng syringe to pull my nipples when my baby was first latched on me. Meron din mga nipple former from medela and other brands. Just keep on making the baby latch and hopefully he will eventually get it. Akala ko nga inverted yung isang boobie ko pero when i started breastfeeding naging normal na siya.

Naku mga sis di ko alam kung [textspeak!] ba gagawin hassle din kasi sterelize and pump kung bibigyan ako ng chance ebf gisto ko..  Ginawa ko na lahat to protude my nipples wala na talaga lumulubog agad sya so tendency nagwawala si baby ko.  Kaya no choice i have to give her bottle with my milk.  Si hubby nisucksuck yung nipples ko before pumping haha pero after nya isuck linisin ko ulit para lang mastimulate.

sis mag paced bottle feeding ka nalang para di ka ma pressure on how much you need to produce. Meron sa fb na exclusively pumping mamas, meron doon mga 1 year silang exclusively pumping.

question sa mga BF moms: nililinis niyo ba nips mo before mag latch si baby? ano ginagawa at nilalagay niyo?

and hinde pa nasuffocate at pinagpapawisan si baby pag naka nursing cover?

Ako i dont wipe em clean or whatever anymore, pag naliligo nalang. Read somewhere that you dont need to and it cleans itself naman.

Whenever we are out, i just use a bottle with expressed milk kasi di ako comfortable mag direct feed sa labas kahit may cover pa yan kasi ang likot likot na ng baby ko mahirap na.

^^ I don't wipe/clean my nips before/after feeding. Like ^, pag naliligo lang, the usual linis ng katawan.

I don't use a nursing cover kasi ayaw ni baby. I usually have a bottle of expressed milk for the travel (nasa carseat si baby pag nasa byahe).

Pag nasa labas, I wear nursing clothes for easy access (big help for me) . Though I can't really "strike anywhere" kasi nako-conscious ako, haha. So I look for the breastfeeding room sa malls, or sa resto/coffeeshop na hindi crowded, or sa car. I just use a lampin to cover my breast area. When I nursed sa plane, hubby shielded me with lampin while pinapa-latch ko si baby. Once naka-latch na, the usual lampin na lang sa breast area..

I also didnt clean right before/after feeding. During bath time lang. I also didnt use nursing cover before. Same tayo bagaholic_chewy na lampin or cloth lang. Ako naman comfortable ako strike anywhere with the lampin/tela cover. Kapag may nursing room, better

Pero I am thinking to try nursing cover sa second baby namin. Kaya I am interested to hear more feedback re nursing covers too.

Tried nursing cover nung una (8mos na baby ko now), and mas nahirapan ako. Kasi ayaw ni baby na nakatakip sya fully so mas fussy sya pag may cover.. and nainitan din ako. And personally, mas nako-conscious ako with nursing cover kasi mas obvious na nagpapadede, mas agaw-pansin IMO. While if lampin lang, hindi obvious. Parang nagpapatulog or naghehele lang ng baby.

I use nursing cover. Okay naman kay baby naka cover. Sa mall at car ko pa lang na-try gumamit ng nursing cover. Hindi naman mainit kasi may aircon naman. Uncomfortable ako magpabreastfeed ng walang nursing cover kasi medyo malaki boobs ko. I bought mine sa baby company 600 plus ang amount.

belle4beauty i bought a nursing cover sa bazaar last weekend, 300 lang. Nakatipid nga ako. Hihi
