easy but yummy "bangus" recipe ideas
« on: November 12, 2013, 02:42:56 pm »
aside from the usual paksiw, sinigang, fried, relyeno, ano pa ba mga recipe na masarap sa bangus? Favorite fish ng daughter ko (5years old) ang bangus especially the tummy part coz its malinamnam daw ang mataba. Natutuwa naman ako kasi fish ang one of her favorite ulamin unlike the other kid na fried chicken ang gusto.
Please share your recipe mga sis

there's this place in tagaytay na dinadalaw ng marami. it's no fancy restaurant. but mapapamura ka sa sarap. i just can't remember the name of the place right now. but get this, pinirata na yung chef, hindi pa din magaya. nasa pag marinate at pag alaga ng bangus.

Bangus sardines in olive oil

1 kilo bangus, heads and tails removed (choose the small ones)
2 cups olive oil or corn oil
3-4 cups water (the bangus must be covered by liquid)
2 T pepper corns
1/2 c. pickle slices
1 carrot, sliced in rounds
2-3 pcs bay leaf
2-3 T soy sauce
2-3 T salt
3-4 pcs bird's eye chili (siling labuyo), optional

Mix everything in a pressure cooker and simmer for 1-2 hours until the fish bones are very very tender.
