Thank you sis rocky for the response. Now i am thinking if we just go to Bantayan with the kids or to go din sa Oslob for the whalesharks for a day instead of checking in sa Mactan resort. I want my kids kasi to experience yung beach side ng Cebu para hindi naman yung sa city lang ang makita nila. Mahilig din kasi sila sa swimming and snorkeling. Advisable ba magpunta sa  Bantayan or Camotes Island with  5 & 9 yo kids? I wish they can also see yung mga nice falls na nabanggit dito. It would be a nice experience sa 9yo ko para makita nya in actual ang falls hindi yung sa school subject lang pinag-aaralan. Lol. Thanks!

^kung gusto mo ng falls sis mag-moalboal na lang kayo para malapit sa kawasan falls. 3 hours bus ride from city then pwede nyo na ring puntahan oslob. 2 nights sa moalboal then overnight sa city before your flight

^^ tayntayn, should you still decide to stay in the city for the two nights, I'd say go for Quest over Castle Peak.

im in Cebu right now and its raining kaya nagdecide kami not to push Going to. Bohol anymore since we have twin babies mahirap na. For our first night we stayed sa Island stay hotel since midnight na kami dumating as usual delayed si cebu pacific. bukas naman day tour kami sa white sands maribago since mura na 700 lang may consumable pa na 200 pesos siya lang ang less than a thousand

Naku andyan kami sa friday i checked yung weather forecast it will be rainy pa din. I checked the weather in moalboal din may possibility of thunderstorm pa. Now im having second thoughts kung pupunta pa kami oslob or moalboal kung umuulan baka hindi rin maenjoy. Buti wala pa ako nabook na hotel. May mga vouchers pa naman ngayon sa dealgrocer nakakalito tuloy kung saan kami magstay. Initially 2days na nga ako sa souther cebu then 1 day lang sa city. Now medyo undecided pa rin. Thanks mga sis!

^ Don't worry so much about the rain in the city sis. It does rain, but I haven't seen it rain real hard though, so I am pretty sure that you'll be just fine come Friday. Anyway, should you decide to go to Oslob and Moalboal, you'd still be okay, but if you don't want to risk it, then you can stay within the city na lang. Nasasabi ko na okay lang since hindi pa naman bumabaha this week. So, unless na bumabaha na, then that's the real deal for rain levels in Cebu.

^whew! Thanks sis for those comforting words! i want to go to oslob talaga kasi it would be an adventure especially sa kids. Now im more considering on going to bluewater sumilon angganda sa mga pictures especially now na may voucher din sa dealgrocer. Im considering yung 3d2n, or the glamping tent or on the safe side yung day tour in case lang na maulan at least pwede ko wag ipush through.

^sis tayntayn para sa akin ang maganda sa sumilon island ay yung beach mismo kasi there is nothing spectacular sa resort unless gusto mo nature-nature na ambiance then sumilon is the place to be.  pwede kayo magpunta sa beach sis without availing the day tour package ng resort kaso you need to hire a pump boat to go to the island, which is kinda inconvenient. hehe
to add Cebu's weather right now is sunny

^ uy thank you din sis for the input. yes i love yung sandbar talaga nila yun ang type na type ko. unfortunately, hubby said na wag na kami magpunta pa kami sa oslob primarily because of the long ride going to and from oslob. and baka daw matakot ang daughter ko sa whaleshark kapag in person na talaga which is my primary reason kaya kami dadayo ng oslob. we will go there na lang kapag mga teenager na sila and mas adventurous na.

so now, i am emailing mga mactan hotels sa rates nila. so stick na lang kami with mactan hotels (considering a day tour sa jpark island resort) or stay sa crimson and another night sa cebu city hotel. dapat ma-final ko tonight kasi sa friday na kami andun haha. last minute. thanks sis!

^you are welcome sis. you can also go to Cebu Westoon Lagoon sis, last August lang sila nag-open and din maganda rin your kids will enjoy here also, kaya lang sometimes it gets crowded kasi it is getting popular among locals.

tayntayn, weather remains to be very sunny in Cebu, so it looks like it will all be very well for your arrival on Friday. Anyway, it seems alright to let Oslob go for now since the travel time in itself will really eat up time.. And the encounter is a mere 30 minutes, so perhaps another time. As for your search for Mactan Resorts, get right to it since it's malamang puno kasi maraming naka semestral or term break, so even locals flock to the resorts (suppose they don't have loved ones to tend to in the cemetery). Expect also some areas in the city to be clogged over the weekend because of traffic heading to cemetery areas.

Finally we are here in Cebu. Thanks to all sisses who gave their inputs. We are staying Crimson Mactan for 3d2n. I availed the voucher from deal grocer. Then one night kmi in another hotel. Yung driver ng airport pick up namin sabi matraffic na rin daw sa Cebu especially daw na mag Undas. So mas maganda yata na enjoy na lang namin ang resort until tom. Then sunday na kami mag city tours.

^ Enjoy your stay in Crimson sis. Since it's kinda difficult to head out of the area kasi nga it's a long way off the main road, do enjoy what Crimson has to offer. If you are into fitness, they usually have exercise programs all day long. There's also an area for kids to play at. Have a relaxing evening as well by the shoreline. Finally, enjoy breakfast tomorrow at Saffron! Super dami bang Koreans pa rin?

I have a quick question, meron bang medyo malapit na fast food or medyo affordable na resto near Shang Mactan?

Nasa Cebu kami this coming December and sa Shang kami mag stay for 5 days. Plano kasi namin na sa labas kumain ng lunch. Masyadong mahal sa hotel.

^ Hi sis izabelle, there are food options outside Shangri-la that you can go to. I am even thinking that you're most likely heading into the city area of Cebu or Mandaue during the day, so malamang you'd end up eating there. Just the same, when you mentioned fast food, I only thought of McDonald's in Mactan Newtown as the closest option. Other Mactan restaurants I'd suggest would be to try Gold Mango (not too far naman from your hotel), then there's the restaurants in a complex right outside of Shang like Hola España, Pizzeria Michaelangelo and others. I didn't take note of all. But pretty much, in that side of town, there's countless Korean and Japanese restaurants that sprouted through the years. And oh, in case you'd like to splurge even just one time... try to book dinner at Abaca, it's just very close by Shangri-la.

Every time kasi na nag stay kami sa Shang don lang kami literally sa loob ng resort, don na din lahat ng meals namin so wala ako masyadong idea if may malapit na fast food or resto. This time, gusto naman namin mag try sa labas ng resort hehe! kasi medyo pricey talaga food sa resort.

I super love Abaca sis. dyan kami nag 1st anniv ng husband ko.

^^ izabelle, that's awesome. I am glad to hear you loved Abaca also. Sobrang fan ako ng group of restaurants nila. In fact, I'd recommend, if you're not tamad, to take their shuttle to Ayala and try out the food places there. Also, if you want a nice place to chill at night.. check out Ibiza.. it's the resort bar for Movenpick na super lapit lang talaga. Have a fab stay at the Shang. The new Tides is open na!!!
