Hi mga sis, planning kame ng fiance ko to go to Cebu sa May. 3 days 2 nights. Gusto namen magbeach. Torn ako kung sa Mactan Area or dun Cebu City magstay. Ano suggestions nyo sis? Ano ba mga pwede gawin sa CEBU? Gusto ko isang araw lang sana sa beach since kakasawa naman sya haha. So gusto ko din mag city.

Hello mga sis!

I will be in Cebu on April 10-13 for a business trip staying at Waterfront Hotel in Cebu City and i plan to have a  day tour in one of the resorts in Mactan on Saturday (April 12). I wanted to go to Shang Ri La sana but it's so expensive na at 4k so i'm choosing among Crimson Resort, Bluewater and Plantation Bay. Hope you can help me decide which among the 3 to choose? Also, is it easy to get a taxi to and from the resort back to the city?

^maganda sa PB kaso parang hindi ko bet yong lagoon nila, sementado kasi ilalim nya kaya kita na nilulumot sya. nag-daytour kami sa bluewater pero saglit lang kaya di namin naenjoy masyado, pero masarap maligo sa beach & pool. hindi ganon kadami yong food sa buffet pero ok na rin

try also movenpick resort, maganda din facilities nila & masarap food. don kami nag-stay nong january.

^yes sis madali lang kumuha ng taxi don since tabing kalsada lang sila. though nong january ginagawa yong kalsada kaya bongga ang traffic

Hi sisters! Anong travel agency ba ang subok niyo na? nagpapatulong kasi friend ko maghanap eh. 2D1N lang sila sa Cebu then pa-Bohol na kasi sila. Pa-post naman.

Also, ano ba ang safe and maganda ang service na ferry pa-bohol? Weesam, Oceanjet o 2go?

^sabi ko nga din sis, mukhang DIY lang sila. bale yung ferry cebu-bohol, sila na lang din ang kumuha nuh? kelangan pa ba magpareserve o punta na lang din sila sa pier? may maisusuggest ka bang hotel near the pier?

^mas ok advance sis kasi may discount. pagdating nila cebu bili na kagad sila ng ticket. ok sa radisson blu, tabi mismo ng SM & pwede silang bumili ng ticket ng oceanjet sa traveler's lounge. don din kami bumili ng ticket ni hubby. malapit lang din sa pier

^^ For the fast craft options to go to Bohol, they may also want to check out the different schedules so they can choose which one works best for them based on the schedule. Though taking Ocean Jet is a pretty good choice to take them to Tagbilaran.

As for hotels, Radisson Blu indeed is a good choice based on the location & proximity to SM City Cebu as well as the pier area. Suppose they would like to try other options that are less pricey, they can also consider Bayfront Hotel, locally-owned, but new. There's also the likes for Sugbutel, which is meant to be just for transients passing through. But if they're staying just for a night, might as well enjoy Radisson Blu.

Thanks Sis rocky and Sis insanelypurpleprincess! sabihin ko sakanila yung mga sinuggest nyo but i guess mas pipiliin nila yung cheaper since mas gusto nilang mag splurge sa Bohol.

^sto. nino church, cebu cathedral, magellan's cross magkakatabi lang yan. kung may time ka pa sama mo na rin fort san pedro. for pasalubong, sm supermarket or ayala

Any recommendation na beach resort sa mactan aside sa maribago and movenpick. also considering crimson hotel. Or may mas mura pa na okey din naman

^halos lahat ng resort sa mactan sis mahal, foreigners kasi target market nila. mas mura siguro be resort kaso maliit lang beachfront nila

ohcmon: It's perfect that you're staying at Cebu Parklane... All you need to do is cross the street and you have Ayala Center Cebu na. Anyway, before I make any suggestions on activities... will you be doing these activities alone or with a group of people? Also, what kinds of activities appeal to you talaga? Are you more of a 'mall' person or foodie or touristy who is in love with history & tourist spots? Provide more info so we can direct you how to spend your free time

rocky: That's nice. I never had the chance to explore Carmen though. I'm more familiar with Danao though.

Pretty_aye: Maribago has a promo going on now for online bookings, so I'd say it's a good choice. For Movenpick, I love that place and it's not so pricey (well, at least based on the going rate for Mactan resorts). As for Crimson, it's also lovely and the service is amazing.. However, take note that when you're in Crimson.. it feels more like Korea-town rather than Cebu... ang daming Koreans left and right, don't ask me why. For more cost-efficient options.. meron naman, pero di nga lang as awesome. Are you guys staying overnight or day tour/night tour?

^sis, napag-iiwanan ng panahon ang carmen. good thing may tinatayo ng gaisano supermarket kaya hindi ko na prob grocery. dati kasi sa danao pa kami pumupunta tapos hindi rin kumpleto.

wala gaanong mapapasyalan sa carmen. dati sikat sa amin yong uragay (spring), don kumukuha dati ng water supply ang nature's spring. then meron ding st. benedictine church, our lady of manaoag shrine & malaking sto. nino sa taas ng bundok. ngayon, sikat yong durano eco farm though di ko pa sya napupuntahan. nasa isang area lang lahat yan
