ok na din yang $68 tix na may $10meal + $5retail voucher.  lalo na kung makukuha mo na yung tix online or dadalhin sa hotel nyo. kesa naman daanan nyo pa sa travel agency.  sulit na yan 

 re: child fare in MRT.
wala yatang child rate sa MRT kung standard ticket gagamitin...  sa bus, kahit cash bayad nyo, may discount ang bata.  pag less than 90cm sya, libre (both bus and mrt)

Not only Universal Studios Singapore. SEA Aquarium, Gardens by the Bay and Night Safari are very worth visiting too!

For food, try Tian Tian Hainanese Chicken Rice in Maxwell, Singapore Seafood Republic in Resorts World Sentosa and Ya Kun Kaya Toast.

If you have time, consider a day trip to Legoland and Hello Kitty Town in Malaysia, especially if you are travelling with children. They will love it!

@sisses xtine and girlcrush, many thanks for the advice. then I'll just follow my itinerary. after checking in at the hotel, I'll go directly to ikea Alexandra. since I presume the items I'll buy here will mostly eat up baggage space, unahin ko na so I know how to budget the remaining baggage allowance for the rest of my shopping loot.

Sisses, meron pa kasi ako leftover HKD money. Next week na trip namin to Malaysia-Singapore. Do you think sa Singapore nalang ako papalit ng HKD to SGD? Or dito sa Pinas bago umalis? Doble lugi kasi pag dito di ba?

sweetiequeeny, ang naiisip ko lang na local brand dito na maeenjoy mo kasi mura is Charles and Keith. Half the price or more ang difference compared to Manila.. Mphosis naman, mura lang pag sale but I find the material quite inferior... The popular shops here like MDS naman okay naman BUT sizes runs small and most of their clothes mga galing Korea rin..

We stayed at YMCA orchard, really very clean and we liked their breakfast buffet. The staff are also accommodating.

Hindi rin masyadong malayo sa MRT station.Ang ganda rin ng view from the rooms.

We booked thru asiatravel, may free one way airport pick up rin.

Hello girls! I plan to surprise my parents (58yo dad & 60yo mom) with an all-expense paid trip to Singapore for their 33rd wedding anniv and I need ALL the help I can get hehe No fixed budget for airfare as long as Cebu Pacific para mas mura

Questions:
1. Should I get them a tour package, let them roam around on their own or combination of both like 3 days package tour then 3 days free to roam around?

2. Please suggest an inexpensive hotel na accessible ang mga pasyalan areas.

^Are they fit for looong walks and cramped tour schedule?

Kasi Singapore is elderly and disabled friendly country (priority seats on buses, mrts), very convenient sidewalks, lifts everywhere.  But are they fit to roam around with themselves without getting lost?

If so, then singapore is a good place for them without any tour packages. 

I often see caucasian elders touring singapore by themselves.  However, these people are known to be travellers kaya its okay for them to get lost.  But some filipino elders are not accustomed to travelling on their own.

^They have travelled together in Hongkong and in Qatar without packaged tours. They look 10-15yrs younger than their age, actually hehe Siguro kailangan ko lang bigyan ng map of Singapore then bahala na sila hehe

In that case sis, you can book them at YMCA (right across Douby Ghaut station) and from there they can roam around Singapore via MRT.  No need for tour packages for as long as you know the places you want to visit, everything is just within MRT's reach.
