^Sis, try mo rin ang chocolate origin dark chocolate.  Super better than awfully chocolate.  Best chocolate cake me and my friends ever tried.  Even my singaporean officemates were convert from Awfully chocolate.

For tonkatsu, I have only tried Ginza Bairen pero sabi ni Lady Iron chef, Tonkichi Restaurant in 4th floor shaw house is the BEST.

I will try Tonkichi next time, I am only familiar with Ginza Bairen and Saboten pero sabi nya its not the best daw. He he he.

Kayesl: thanks sis for your suggestion. I also booked YMCA na lang medyo mahal lang ng konti but inisip ko nalang para walang hassle sa transpo and time namin since 3d/2n lang naman kami.

Mimisim: sana nakabook ka na din ng hotel nyo sis. I book our hotel at asiatravel. Parang mas mura sya considering may airport hotel transfer na and free halfday city tour kaso (mukhang di naman na namin maggamit un..hehhe)

Nov 26- arrival at Changi airport 2:30PM. Check in at Ymca. Plan ko after maiwan ang gamit sa hotel mag gardens of the bay na kami, Marina bay sands, merlion then dinner? Kaya ba ito? Mag mrt or bus pa ba kami going to gardens of the bay or pwede lakarin from ymca?

Nov27 - Sentosa? Aside from USS ano mas ok puntahan dun? Suggest kasi friend ko wag na kami mag USS kung di lang din naman kami magrides dahil mahal din lang. Di daw masusulit.

Nov 28 -Chinatown or bugis tapos Want to try Changi City Point outlet, tama ba dun may nike factory outlet? May pinabibili kasi si hubby.. Then flight namin 4:30pm kaya ba ito?

Sayang mas mahaba pa sana pala dapat vacation namin kaso naman mauubos na leaves ko..heheh

xtine, I think it's a tie between Tonkichi and Tampopo before for me but the hefty price tag of Tonkichi (almost $30 ang regular tonkatsu nila), Tampopo wins my vote. Their ramen is also good Tsaka the last time my colleague treated us for his birthday there, medyo hindi consistent si Tonkichi considering the price, mas juicy si Tampopo for me.. We frequent the one at Takashimaya. They also have a branch at Liang Court...

Saboten naman, I love their salad dressing but inconsistent rin, I just had dinner there earlier and 20% ng tonkatsu ko, puro taba eh large pa naman in order ko... Parang nag pa-upgrade lang ako sa taba lol and the meat can be tough at times rin.

^You need to take the bus/mrt to Gardens by the bay. Kaya lakarin from MRT but medyo mahaba ang lakaran just to warn you specially if hindi ka sanay sa lakaran dito.. Check the website of Sentosa kung ano ang tingin mo maeenjoy ninyo. I suggest if you don't like rides, skip USS. You can check SEA Aquarium or kahit ikot lang kayo around via monorail/foot just to take pictures, then after that maybe you can go somewhere else like Orchard to have dinner then walk going back to the hotel... On your last day, yes sa Changi City Point may Nike outlet, it's at the 2nd floor. But you have to be there before 2 para hindi gahol sa oras magcheck in sa airport

re: Tonkatsu - we've always loved Saboten kahit pa noon when we were based in Japan. ok din naman sa Ginza Bairin kasi mas mura sya. if you dont like taba, dont order loin katsu. yung fillet dapat. ako i like taba in my katsu    di pa namin na-try Tonkichi. parang ang mahal kasi eh. kung mahal din lang, dun na kami sa favorite namin na Saboten

naughty_pink, you need to take the MRT going to Gardens by the Bay. Nov 26 iti mo is OK. Sa Sentosa, you can take the Luge then cable car, Watch the 4D show, Butterfly park, Light Show, Aquarium. If you're not going to USS, just outside USS pwede na din kayo magpicture picture

xtine, love ko din iyang Gindaco Takoyaki! Yum! Ginza Bairin lang natry ko pero sa HK ito sa IFC Mall. I will visit the other Tonkatsu restos that were suggested. Fave ko Japanese food.

tiger_hunt, kung safety lang, safe naman sa area na yan in the sense na wala no crime diyan. Hindi lang maganda ang ambiance sa gabi since nakatambay sa streets ang mga 'girls'. Pero hindi naman whole Geylang area ganyan. May certain streets lang (Lorong 19 to Lorong 21 lang ata). Hindi ito malapit (like walking distance) sa pasyalan if you're referring to Gardens by the Bay, USS, Orchard, Chinatown.

Mimisim: sumakit din ulo ko kakabasa ng mga reviews eh. Tingin ko tataas na presyo bago pa ako makabook. Actually isa din sa pinagpipilian ko yan v hotel lavender since sinaggest din ng friend ko. Kaso when I tried to check ang mahal na dahil triple/family room kami. I chose asiatravel kasi may kasama na sya airport hotel transfer and halfday citytour plus may breakfast sa hotel na din ymca. Sige sis copy ,o lang IT ko, medyo magulo pa nga.. Dami ko pa like puntahan. Kung pwede lang wala na tulugan eh..hahah

mimisim, I will choose YMCA over V Hotel Lavender without batting an eyelash. Location wise it's very convenient since Dhoby Ghaut MRT is an MRT interchange area (there's red lane, purple lane (going to sentosa/vivo) and circle lane (suntec, esplanade, MBS) ), there's a nearby mall and grocery too. If you want to sight see a bit, you can walk around the area and check the museums or Fort Canning Park which is just right behind the hotel and YMCA is not mahal considering the location, and it can fit up to max of 4 pax in one room Rate is around $170 if I remember correctly and can go up to $220 for the big room...

We were at Marina Bay area last saturday and nasaraduhan na kami ng mall so no choice but to go to Makansutra to eat late dinner... Major degrade talaga ang food nila from the first time we ate here before We ordered Chicken rice, hokkien mee, cereal prawn, satay and stingray, sa satay lang ako nasiyahan. Pag seafood better talaga to eat at restaurants.. Hokkien mee nya is so-so. Chicken rice naman, even if it's Wee Nam Kee, matabang ang chicken The consolation nalang is, Makansutra pledge 20% of their food sales to the victims of the typhoon, funds will be donated to Mercy Relief

To mimisim, i doubt kaya o mageenjoy ang seniors sa luge, mahirap icontrol yun lalo for your mom mahihirapan sya. Tsaka wala ako nakitang senior na nagride dun.
Our own experience naman when we went to sg last month, my kids loved the sea aquarium, uss, gardens and the zoo. When we went to sea, hindi siya matao wednesday 12pm.  Same with uss, we went on a Thursday, wala din lines sa rides, yung tipong pagpunta mo ikaw na agad next. My kids rode the transformer and mummy rides more than 5 times each, so sulit talaga.
Regarding sa zoo naman, i always read here that you need the whole day to finish the zoo. No, hindi naman.  Just come early.  8:30 it opens nandun na kami altho nagbreakfast muna kami sa labas.  By 2pm tapos na kami.  Altho yes hindi namin naabutan mga show times, coz we didn't plan our route based sa kung san may show.  But we lingered ha, hindi kami nagmadali coz my kids really love animals.  We were only able to do elephant ride and giraffe feeding.  I think whole day lang kayo talaga if you plan to go to river safari and night safari din.  Pero since hindi pa naman tapos ang river safari at hindi naman ganun kaganda reviews nya we skipped it na.  The zoo itself you have to go maganda sya.

sis ayin, nagoogle ko na yung luge & skyride parang di nga bet ng mom ko yun hehe. i was thinking of uss naman kasi syempre since andun na ma-try ko naman kaso ano kaya pwedeng rides dun sa kanila? pwede kaya ito: 4d max, spielberg ride & waterworld? they've tried zipline naman na before kaso syempre 1 time lang yun pag whole day na rides baka di rin nila ma-enjoy. baka skip na namin yung zoo usually kasi masaya yun pag may kids. yung gardens by the bay na lang siguro & botanical gardens/ orchid gardens. yung night safari din sana, kaso sabi ng iba di rin naman daw maganda parang close encounter lang with animals. tnx sa feedback sis ha seems nag-enjoy talaga kayo
