^Thanks for sharing the link.

Of particular interest is tofu - I am thinking of the taho tofu (minus the arnibal and sago) and add in breastmilk.

And oatmeal with breastmilk.  I am inclined to introduce these foods slowly para mas lamang pa rin ang breastmilk.

Any ideas mommies?

Oatmeal will be fine for 6 months old, my son loves it til now he's 9 months old, grinded rolled oats cooked with water then add na lang yung breastmilk after maluto, nilalagyan ko rin ng mashed fruits sometimes...but now he's 9 months old i'm not grinding it anymore :-)

I've found this in Wholesomebabyfood regarding tofu:

"Tofu is a protein food that may be difficult for an immature tummy to digest.  Along with Meat and Egg Yolks and other more complex proteins, most pediatricians recommend offering tofu to the baby who is 8 months of age or older. As Tofu is a soy product, you should not offer it to an infant who has any allergy to soy."

^ Thanks sis. I'll delay the taho then. :-)

My daughter liked the potato and BM mix. We'll do that until Friday next week and start on oatmeal naman. :-)

Hi sis, share ko lang yung food na pinapakain ko kay baby from her 6th month until now na 9 months na sya:

Mix ko beef, brocolli, pechay, potato and rice after ko sila maboil, then I use blender to mix them together.

Spinach, cabbage, carrots and rice

Carrot and Potato then add ako ng butter konte.

Rice powder then haluan ko sya ng grated veggies, then I add a little amount of salt.

Matrabho sis pero like naman ng baby ko :-)

^Rice powder as in giniling na bigas? Or commercially available rice powder?

Thanks for sharing!

Yes sis giniling na bigas. May nabibili na namang rice powder sa market, but since wala ako nakita dun, naggrind na lang ako ng bigas using the blender.  :)

Tapos sis pwede din after mo pakainin si baby, follow mo yung fruits. Example apple, banana, pears. :)

Table food, pero mas madami veggies; prefers fish over meat. mashed nong 6mo si baby. Tinidor/fork lang gamit ko. Minsan breastmilk plus fruits, puree, then freeze.
Now at 22mo nakain na sya mag-isa at natuto nang pumili ng gusto nyang food.

^Meron pa sis, I saw it last sa Puregold.

Clear plastic with red lettering na halos macover na ang balot.  Bigger size na siya.

Sis, if I may share. We're doing Baby Led Weaning with our 6-month old baby.
We started 2 weeks ago when she turned 6 months.

Basically, we don't prepare puree. We just slice up fruits/boil the veggies and place them in front of her on her high chair. Then let her "eat" them at her own pace. So far she had Banana, Avocado, Broccoli, Pear, Peach, Plum, white bread, Mango, Spinach,  Carrots, Sweet Potato and cheese.

She got constipated with Banana so we gave her apple and pear juice.

hello :D joining in :) my son turning 6 months next week and very helpful [textspeak!] mga ideas dito, as of now nagtry na sya ng baby foods na cereal, starting next week i'll try to feed him more varieties of foods kasi parang madali syang mag-sawa sa cereal.

hi sis, sorry for late reply...didn't get a chance to check here for a while, i was using magic bullet, and yung oatmeal is rolled oats, can't remember yung brand nya but i bought it in Robinson's supermarket, local brand lang sya. I think okay naman any brand wag lang yung instant oats.

Mommies may Marie biscuit pa ba sa supermarkets? :( Wala na kasi akong nakikita e :(

speaking of marie.. there was this one time nakabili ng marie si hubby sa tindahan -- ipapakain niya sana kay baby kasi ang cute tapos sakto lang for baby to hold pero buti na lang nakita ko napansin ko na yung color ng biscuit natratransfer sa hands ko. in short daming food color. from then one we really had to check dami na kasing klase ng marie ngayon eh.

anyway at 6 mos i was able to to introduce to him the following:

squash
oatmeal
potatoes
carrots
sweet potatoes (kamote)

the oatmeal we just boiled it until super soft na

squash/ potatoes/ carrots/ sweet potatoes: i sliced it thin then boiled para madali ma soft then i mashed it with a fork. now a days i grate the carrots so it's easier to boil cause it takes a little longer to soften

it's best kasi to introduce the food one at a time para madaling malaman kung may allergic reaction si baby

you can also try:

homemade applesauce (just peel, core, slice thinly or grate the apple then add water just enough to cover the apples then bring to a boil then add a bit of cinnamon - ang bango!)

bananas (just scrape it of with a spoon)

rice (lugaw)
