ako din makikibalita if fully restored na ang electricity and water supply sa panglao, or may rotational brownouts pa rin?

we're deciding whether or not to push through with our cebu-bohol trip.

hi mga sis, we just came from Bohol yesterday. We checked in at DBR2. Buong Bohol wala pa rin sila electricity. Some areas will have kasi nakagenerator sila but again its not 24/7. Sa DBR2 they on the generator 5pm-9am. After that brownout na. Okay sa panglao walang damages dun. Sabi ng driver namin by the way we got out tour kay ms kathy mga 1 month or more pa walang electricity since source ng kuryente nila is from Leyte. Overall I would still recommend pushing thru with your trip. Nakapagcountryside tour and sea tour kami. Hope this helps.

sa dumaluan 1 naman kami nakacheck-in brown-out nga sa bohol dahil iyong kuryente nila galing pa daw ng leyte so affected talaga sila hanggat di naayos doon. from 530pm-6am naman ang bukas ng generator sa dbr1. may mga rasyong kuryente daw sa iba ibang lugar pero di matagalan sabi ng guide namin.

safe naman doon at wala kaming naramdamang aftershock kahit pa meron daw kahapon. nagtext nga tatay namin (na hindi sumama) dahil nagaalala dahil sa news pero wala naman kaming naramdaman. nasa dagat siguro kami at nag-sea tour nung nagtext sya.

countryside tour naman ok din. sabi nga ni kuya eric parang nadagdagan pa nga ang spots nila ngayon dahil sa lindol dahil nadagdagan ng ruins iyong itinerary nila. iyong ibang guests daw kasi iyon ang hanap.

mostly mga foreign tourists ang nakakasabay namin sa mga tourist spots. konti lang ang mga pinoy siguro dahil na rin sa takot tulad ng tatay ko na hindi namin napilit pero maganda pa rin bohol. parang gusto ko na ulit bumalik at makapag-intro dive sa balicasag. nabitin kasi ako.

^ my friend who was there, may wifi naman daw. electricity yung problem. i checked with our resort, 24/7 DAW sila naka generator. not really sure if totoo, sana totoo because hubby will die without A/C.

^sis, anong resort nyo? sana nga may wifi, kahit a few hours during the day lang. yung asawa ko, ang daming concerns, tubig, A/C, wifi. ako tuloy ang nai-stress.

^thanks sis. how about dbr2? balak ko tig 2days sa alona at bolod beach. pero kung walang signal sa dbr2, alona na lang ng 4 days.

malakas signal sa bandang dbr2. sa dbr1 ay naku walang signal ang sun at globe sa room. iyong wifi ang di ko sure sa dbr2 pero may sched ang generator doon at di 24/7  sabi nga ni sis luvko.

mga sis na may sched na gala sa bohol tuloy nyo na lang. ok naman doon base sa experience namin nung weekend. wala rin kaming naramdamang aftershock. kailangan nila tayo doon ngayon para tuloy-tuloy ang pagbangon nila.

wala pa din kaming accommodation  di ako makapag-decide. wala pa ding ferry tickets. try ko pumunta sa binondo this weekend, hopefully makakuha ng ticket sa ocean jet.

any news on south palms resort? up na yung website nila and may mga promos sila. i sent them an email already. sana open na sila at available pa yung promo. baka kasi available lang yung promo sa mga nagbook nung travel fair

ang tutuloy na lang eh ako, yung anak kong panganay na turning 9, then yung kapatid ko.

iyong earthquake last week di namin naramdaman. nag-alala nga tatay ko at text ng text pero kami wala kaming naramdaman.

We conducted a medical mission in several areas in Bohol (Batuan, Sevilla, Carmen, San Isidro just to name a few) last weekend, for the earthquake victims. Weather was fair with occasional rain showers. Pressed for time, we weren't able to see the famous sites; unless na lang nadaanan namin. We passed by man-made forrest, ruins of Loboc church and Baclayon church, Loboc river, remains of Chocolate Hills, entrance/exit sa Hanging Bridge.  Here are my observations:

1. Most areas have no electricity. Ice and/or any cold beverage is a luxury. If you have a power bank or know someone who has one, borrow it. It will be useful for charging your gadgets. It's wise to bring a flashlight too.
2. Be self-sufficient. Have your own supplies, especially food and water. BTW, be cautious in using water. Some boholanos are over-sensitive on how we use water. Rumor has it that some locals got mad when they saw a group of people from Manila use bottled drinking water to rinse their used utensils.
3. There are still aftershocks. Stay calm.

I called Lost Horizon yesterday and as of the night before, there was electricity but they are not yet sure if it is stable pa. They assured me that they have a generation if power is out and would only be down for 2 hours for maintenance. We're pushing through this Thursday na.
