Office Romance
« on: November 06, 2013, 06:54:42 pm »
Great day!

I was browsing the web and found myself on this part of the internet, and was pretty much amazed how people (esp. ladies) talk bout love thingy. Let me just share something bout my case and hope you could help me out with this one

Im a 23-year-old man (oh, I forgot to tell that I'm a GuyTalker nga pala), a father of one, NOT married and is managing a hotel business. To get to the point, I worked abroad, went home and found that my son's mother is having an affair with someone else (which until now makes me choked up whenever I remember)

In those time of deep pain and agony, I had been with a lady who brought up the 'light' again on me. The problem is that ... she is directly reporting and working under my management. Feelings are mutual for the both of us. And she's also separated from his hubby ( and they're not married though with 1 daughter).

I know in any way or another, this is a very unprofessional. But now, Im looking forward on having her with me. I dont wanna lose her, neither my job.

People around start talking rumors. And its getting harder for us each day.

SHe decided to resign, but I refuse. (Im afraid that Im gonna lose her when we will be working apart).

Tell me, what should I/we do now?

My stand: Dont s*** in your own backyard bro.

One of you needs to resign specially she is subordinate. It is very unprofessional and let's face it, there will always be favoritism. You cannot work without letting your emotions get into the way, trust me, ive seen it a lot of times. If she decided to resign it doesn't mean you will lose her. If she is really in love with you, regardless if she works with other company, she will always be your girl... Be realistic, in your case you gotta choose... Her or your Job. You cant have best of both worlds. That's the reality. Inter-office relationship is a very messy thing you want to get involve with. Just think if both of you will have arguments, definitely it will affect your work. And one more thing, the green eyed monster is just lurking around in this scenario. You cannot avoid jealousy and it will also affect on how you treat other employees. So my stand, you need to think.... Your job or your relationship.. Good luck

I don't believe this.

Yun iba may anak na pala. Grabe lang lokohan.

Kung single naman at walang anak talaga. Hindi rin healthy may karelasyon sa office. Suffocating in a way. Tapos no social life kasi lagi kayo dapat magkasama. Pag LQ kayo damay damay na.

i dont recommend office romance. been there so i can say im speaking thru experience. aside sa part na baka magkasawaan kayo madaming intriga at syempre all actions mabibigyan ng meaning. if she decided to resign, let her be. i dont think you gonna lose her kung mag resign sya.

Case to case basis siguro. hehe! As long as hindi ka boss ng karelasyon mo or the other way around okay lang.
I met my husband sa office, but since di kami nag ka sundo habang magkasama kami sa work (madalas kami nag kaka asaran), he decided to resign nalang. And if kayo naman talaga para sa isa't isa, kahit magkaibang trabaho kayo, eh kayo parin. Tiwala lang.

This office romance isn't going to be good for your career advance, for both of you.  Somewhere, sometime -- your personal feelings will get in the way of professionalism.

Before both your attention is called by management, best 1 of you transfers/resigns.

If you are afraid of losing her once she is out of your sight --  it isn't love binding you now.   On the other hand, don't  get paranoid about her trustworthiness just because your son's mother didn't deserve your trust.

Agree with aquacharly. Why worry if it's really true love?

This really is a case-to-case kind of situation. My bf and I met din sa work, during training days pa lang. We were batchmates. Naging kami two years after namin nagkakilala. And yung inisip nilang mga taong baka may masabi eh from other account at walang alam sa account namin. Nakakatawa pa, lumipat kami ng work nung 2011. Awkward. Haha.
