try using baking soda OR baking soda and apple cider vinegar as shampoo and see what happens -- nawala ang dandruff ko dito.  Google mo na lang on how to do it.  Hope this helps!

I am now using organic shampoo and conditioner, my scalp is not as itchy as when I was using Loreal na mabango talaga.  As in masakit scalp ko and maraming hair fall.  I was also advised to apply a solution on my hair, ok naman.  I'm not saying kumakapal hair ko, pero hindi itchy.

Better consult a Dermatologist, home remedy sometimes does not work.

You have to determine if its really dandruff or seborrheic dermatitis, so syempre magkaiba treatment dun.

I have seborrheic dermatitis, my derma in Medical City gave me Clobetasol solution, I apply it whenever I have an "outbreak" then may shampoo din. Medyo mahal around P400+ per solution/shampoo. Did it cure it? not entirely but it really lessened the scaling and itchiness. Nizoral doesn't work for me also.

Unfortunately, there is no cure for this. You just need to minimize the stress (puyat included)
I've observed that for the past few weeks na late ako natutulog, bumabalik talaga sya sa pangangati and then dandruff/scaling na kasunod. Yep, kaasar talaga.

Also, Travocort helps but a tube is way expensive here. If you know someone from abroad (Bangkok or Dubai) mura dun. Eto reseta din sa akin naman ng derma ko sa Borough. Both works for me but since may Travocort ako yun muna ang gamit ko. Then usual dandruff shampoo lang din.

Six Ways to Fight Dandruff

1. Load up on zinc
Your scalp produces sebum (skin oils) to protect the hair and scalp. But too much sebum can cause dandruff, and the oil nourishes the pityrosporum ovale fungus, which is believed to cause dandruff. Clinical trials have found that zinc is effective in taming sebum production, so load up on this mineral by eating legumes, nuts, and grains. You’ll need Vitamin B to help the body absorb zinc. Vitamin B can be found in meat, poultry, fish, as well as fruits and veggies.

2. Get some sun
Studies have shown that exposure to sunlight helps remedy certain skin conditions, like eczema and psoriasis. Because of this, experts at the Mayo Clinic believe that a little bit of sun exposure may help reduce dandruff. This can be a bit tricky, as exposure to ultraviolet rays may damage the skin and cause cancer. Always slather on sunscreen before heading outdoors, and keep the sun exposure to a minimum.

3. Stop stressing
A study published by the Archives of Dermatology in 2001 found that stress has a negative effect on one’s skin. This explains why we get acne breakouts before finals at school, or get rashes before a big meeting. So it’s no surprise that stress affects the skin on our scalp, too! Learn to chill out by doing breathing exercises, or take a meditation class. Take a breather and go for a walk—exercise helps the body release endorphins, which can lower stress.

4. Use a daily anti-dandruff shampoo
You can prevent dreaded “shoulder snow” by using a daily anti-dandruff shampoo. Massage this onto the scalp firmly, and rinse well. Frequent shampooing can reduce oiliness, and prevents the build-up of dead skin cells (which end up as flakes that fall on your shirt!) Look for shampoos that help prevent itchiness and dryness, while nourishing multiple layers of the scalp to keep it healthy.

5. Comb your hair with a wide-toothed comb after you shower
Combing your hair helps distribute sebum from the scalp to the tip. This not only prevents sebum build-up on your scalp, but it also helps moisturize and hydrate your hair.

6. Cut back on styling products
Excessive use of sprays, gels, and mousses can cause product build-up on your scalp—which in turn could lead to excess sebum production and bacteria growth. Try giving your tresses a break from styling products at least twice a week. And always massage the scalp when washing your hair, to get rid of all traces of product.

I too have been suffering from dandruff all my life. I've used many anti-dandruff shampoos but so far, ang pinaka hoyang ko is Clear shampoo (I use the pink one because may treatment na kasama) I use it daily nga lang kasi if you stop using it babalik siya. And accepted ko na talaga that there's no permanent cure to dandruff. You just need to maintain it with the righ shampoo. Although, magtatry ako nung Hana anti-dandruff shampoo. All natural raw eh, and I've been seeing sone good reviews. Mas mura rin sya compared to Clear. I'll update you :D

been suffering from dandruff since college days and til now naghahanap pa rin ako ng solution to this problem. tried consulting derma before and given solution pero di nagwork. tried different anti-dandruff shampoos pero waley pa din. some works pero panandalian lang tapos bumabalik at bumabalik pa din. di ko rin matukoy ano nagtitrigger nito kasi  may mga time na talagang sinusumpong ang scalp ko, sobrang kati at visible ang flakes. nakaka stress. Along with my dandruff problem eh nagsisimula na ring mag nipis ang buhok. and no doubt malaking factor ang dandruff sa paglalagas ng hair ko.

recently nabasa ko sa thread ng Best Hair loss treatment, meron tayo sis na nag recommend na if dandruff ang reason ng hair loss .. try daw yung Tricort Scalp lotion 0.1% 25ml, pampawala daw ng dandruff and feminine wash to use as shampoo. Bumili ako agad ng tricort and during that time sinusumpong na naman ako ng flakes kaya ginamit ko agad. And instead of fem wash, ang binili ko eh Lactacyd Baby Shampoo kasi pwede naman Lactic acid. So far mga 2 weeks na eh medyo umokay scalp, nawala ang flakes and in case na nakakaramdam ako ng pangangati sa scalp, i immediately apply tricort. Inoobserve ko pa rin hanggang ngayon both the shampoo and tricort. Sana magtuloy-tuloy. And magpapasalamat talaga ako sa sis natin na nagbrought up nito sa thread.

i've been suffering from sebhorreic dermatits for more than 10 years. ang hirap, nakakahiya lalo na pag gusto ko magpa parlor. pero recently napansin ko less yung flakes pag di ako shampoo everyday. pag lagi kasi shampoo mas madali magdry scap and dry scalp=flakes (for me) so now twice a week na lang ako shampoo.

^Ako naman baligtad. I wash every night with an organic anti dandruff shampoo. So far naminimize sya. I spritz my scalp with apple cider vinegar, a few minutes before washing. All I can say is hindi sya nawawala completely but at least manageable.

True, nakakahiya magpaparlor.
