Laneige touches my skin. I switch to their skin care and promise i will be loyal na talaga if this is the one for me. Yesterday I had a grand purchase from this shop. as in kakapang lumo nga eh pampalubag loob nalang na may consent ni mommy hehe kasama ko siya. if this is my one talaga naku lahat na ito gagamitin ko pati make up as in! right now i have a basic skin care from laneige. and also my snow crystal dual foundation :) oh gonna save for make up line too :D hindi nga save eh sa salary ko for this month. I have a grand day yesterday. satisfied with my shopping because I was stress and now ready to work! ;)

follow up pala yung skin care hehe wala saken list ...praying hard that this is the one for my skin :D

My very good HMUA (wedding and prenup) imparted a very important advice when she gave us free basic make-up lessons: It's better to invest on skincare rather than make-up. Very true! :)

And I have to agree as well that skin care is a commitment-- even if you just wanted to hit the sack directly, you really need to wash the gunk on your face. I have a very simple skin care regimen:

AM- Cleanse with Celeteque hydrating wash
       Celeteque hydrating toner
Celeteque matte moisturizer Sun care with SPF 30
PM- Cleanse with Celeteque brightening wash
       Celeteque hydrating toner
       Celeteque anti-wrinkle gel (Mon-Tues-Wed-Thu)
Celeteque facial moisturizer (no SPF)+ Tretinoin 0.05% (Fri-Sat-Sun)
*If I had make-up, I remove it using Purederm make-up tissue remover (face), L'Oreal make-up remover (eyes and lips) before I apply my entire face with Celeteque anti-wrinkle hydrating cleansing oil. I clean my make-up brushes while I wait for the oil to be absorbed by my skin before starting my PM regimen.

2x/wk "facial" treat- Mon and Wed
-Exfoliate with St. Ives facial scrub
-DIY "steam": Tapat ko lang yung face ko sa basin with boiled water (just to open the pores), for 10-15mins, very relaxing actually  :)
-After steaming, I use Purederm strips (nose, forehead, chin) to remove the blackheads/whiteheads
-Facial mask for 30 mins: I'm alternating with Watson's (1) brightening and (2) firming and moisturizing and Etude's House (1) pearl extract and (2) firming with CoQ10. I put the masks on the chiller so super relaxing once I put them on my face na.
-Massage the remaining essence on my face (been searching youtube for facial massages/exercises)
-Finally, a very cold face towel on my face to close the pores. Before, I directly apply ice cubes sa entire face then I read it's not a good practice kasi the ice cube will promote the appearance of thin blood vessels on your face  ;)

I'm saving for a facial serum and something for my undereyes. Dito na lang muna ako mag-invest instead of make-up though I want those MAC brushes talaga! Hehe.

Help About Facial Wash Cleanser Toner Exfoliator Serum Moisturizer

Facial Wash, Facial Cleanser, Facial Toner, Facial Exfoliator, Facial Serum, Facial Moisturizer?

Example:

Morning Routine
Step 1. Facial Wash - Dove White beauty bar ( twice a day )
Step 2. Cleanser - Cetaphil Gentle skin Cleanser ( twice a day )
Step 3. Toner - Neutrogena Alcohol-Free Toner ( twice a day )
Step 4. Exfoliator - St. Ives Apricot Scrub ( once a week )
Step 5. Facial Serum - ( once a day ) hindi ko alam kung para saan ba yan kaya wala pa ako binibili na facial serum
Step 6. Facial Moisturizer - Olay Natural White Day Cream ( once a day )
Step 7. Body Moisturizer - Myra Hand & Body Lotion ( twice a day )

Night Routine
Step 1. Facial Wash - Dove White beauty bar ( twice a day )
Step 2. Cleanser - Cetaphil Gentle skin Cleanser ( twice a day )
Step 3. Toner - Neutrogena Alcohol-Free Toner ( twice a day )
Step 4. Facial Moisturizer - Olay Natural White Night Cream ( once a day )
Step 5. Body Moisturizer - Myra Hand & Body Lotion ( twice a day )

step 1 facial wash step 2 cleanser step 3 moisturizer
i mean walang nakalagay na toner Exfoliator and serum
cleanser toner exfoliator serum and moisturizer walang kasama na facial wash.

"Facial Wash Cleanser Toner Exfoliator Serum and Moisturizer"

^hi. If i may. It depends sa content ng each product. Let me show u may routine. My derma gave it to me. Pero i altered it lang ng slight

1. Facial wash - neutrogena or clean and clear (to remove the dirt sa face
2. Facial cleanser - neostrata cleanser - this has  gluconolactone which is an AHA. check google na lang for what AHA is for
3. Toner - clindamycin toner - for pimples and maintenance na rin
4. Retinoic acid cream 0.05% - this has anti aging properties (tretinoin) and may exfoliating/peeling effect din sya and for pimples na rin
5. Benzamycin gel - for pimples din (spot treatment lang. But i dont use this pag wala naman ako pimples )
6. Neostrata hq lightening gel - spot treatment din for dark spots like pimple marks, etc

**she said combo of diff product for pimples kasi minsan hindi effective ang isang gamot lang for pimples. And i noticed that kasi tretinoin alone doesnt heal my pimples agad. And sometimes naiimmune na yung skin ko or yung pimples sa gamot

I follow the above regimen sa gabi, sa umaga naman 1-2-3 lang ginagawa ko. Then sunblock syempre.

Iba iba ang skin type natin. Pwedeng sakin effective to. Sa iba hindi. And syempre each routine depende sa content ng gamot na nilalagay mo sa face at kung para saan sya

By the way, nag eexfoliate din ako ng face 1-2 times a week. I use cure nature aqua gel. Inuubos ko lang. Sayang naman.  Though minsan feeling ko walang kwento tong cure nature gel.

Hope this helps. :)

or magkaiba sila at dapat talaga step 1 facial wash muna then step 2 syaka ako maglalagay ng cleanser?

From what I have read sa internet expanded lang ang 3 step process:

1. Wash Face
2. Apply Toner
3. Apply Serum
4. Apply Moisturizer/Sunblock
5. Apply Spot Treatment

Pero kung may prescription medicine - toner or ointment - either step 2 or step 3 iyun

so yun facial wash at cleanser iisa lang pala?

i mean i know na once or twice a week lang dapat gumagamit ng exfoliator

1. cleanser
2. toner
3. exfoliator
4. moisturizer

1. exfoliate
2. wash
3. tone
4. serum
5. moisturize
6. spot treatment

iba serum sa moisturizer, serum mas thin ang consistency, more of concentrated active ingredients

exfoliate as in scrubs or beads?

I am not an expert/dermatologist/skin care specialist, but this is based from my own knowledge from years of research regarding skin care. I hope this could help with your confusion. Feel free to correct me if ever you feel like or think that some of the things I wrote are incorrect. :)

For daily use :
• Make-up removers - removes makeup, used before facial washes.
>They have different kinds : cream, oil, or water types. There are also make up remover wipes.

• Facial Washes/Cleansers (depends on how you wanna call it, it's the same.) - Cleans the make up, dirt, oils, etc. off of your face.
> Usually comes in gel, cream, foam, milk types.

• Toners - Removes excess dirt that the facial wash/cleanser wasn't able to remove. Also helps to balance out the pH level of the skin. pH level is the acidity level of the skin.
> Toners are typically witch hazel or water-based and contain minimal or no alcohol.

• Astringents - This is similar to toners except alcohol is the main component. The alcohol content in astringent makes it drying to the skin, which is beneficial for anyone with oily skin. The alcohol actually penetrates the excessive oil and helps normalize your complexion.

• Facial Moisturizers - Acts as a protective barrier for your skin, keeping it hydrated and healthy. And prevents it from drying out.

• Facial Serums - The main reason you'd want to use a facial serum is to get added nutrients and moisture into deeper layers of your skin that a regular moisturizer is not able to reach. If you're still young, you don't need this yet.

• Eye Creams -  They are specially formulated for the sensitive, thin skin around the eyes, and helps get rid of puffy eyes, dark circles, and sagging skin. Again, if you're still young, this isn't necessary.

For weekly use (1-2 times a week) :

• Exfoliators

1.) Manual Exfoliators
•Facial Scrubs - This contains abrasive ingredients(example : beads, brushes, etc.) to remove dry, dead skin cells and helps improve blood circulation. It also softens the skin and gives it a healthier glow.
> Example : St. Ives Apricot Scrub(beads), Clarisonic skin cleansing brush

2.) Chemical Exfoliators - Makes use of several types of chemicals in order to remove dead skin cells and other impurities.
> Example : Cure Natural Aqua Gel

• Facial Masks - There are different types of facial masks for different skin types/problems/conditions. (example : extra moisture for dry skin, deep cleansing for oily skin, etc.)
These are usually left on/applied on the skin and let it penetrate for a certain amount of time, then rinse. They provide added benefits for the skin.
> They come in mask, clay, gel, or cream forms.

Only when needed use :

• Spot treatments - These are medicated and more concentrated(it depends on what ingredient is used, the usual ones are salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide.) It goes deep down in pores to kill the acne bacteria that cause pimples and helps stop new ones from forming.
> There types of spot treatments like acne spot treatments, dark spot treatments, etc.

It takes time(trial and error) and to find the right or "hiyang" products for your skin. What works for other people might not work for you. And when trying out new products, make sure to atleast use it for 2 weeks to a month(or more) to see if it really works or not. Because sometimes, the skin reacts if there's a new product but will eventually adjust.

Too moisturizing kaya ako nag-pimples.

Now i onlyuse physiogel sa body.

so ito pala ang right and proper order ng mga ito

1. Facial wash/Cleanser
2. Exfoliator
3. Toner
4. Facial serum
5. Moisturizer

^^ hi sis. Sorry naconfuse yata kita lalo sa facial wash vs facial cleanser. I use both kc yung facial wash muna, foam sya so mabula and para maalis yung dirt sa face. I still use facial cleanser (neostrata facial cleanser) kasi hindi to foam. Parang cetaphil lang sya na walang bula. Gel like.

I use this after facial wash dahil sa gluconolactone content nya which is AHA. Kelangan din irinse to so i use it after facial wash.

^ hi lovely! moisturizer then sunblock then makeup.

Hey girls! Found that drugstore are are as good and better yet if you just get the derma products: they work especially the retinoics/tretinoin.  I have bought everything from la mer collection, sk ii collection, Estée Lauder, perricone md, la prairie, laneige, shiseido and they're okay lang. I think okay na yung drugstore products. Much better if botox Siguro or laser treatments. Although when you reach a certain age okay na the expensive products cause my Lolo has good complexion and he is using la prairie! My tita uses la mer, Kaso my Lola uses olay and anew Lang and she also has smooth nice skin. I think it's all marketing Lang talaga.

Except for advanced night repair of Estée Lauder that one I'm using my skin soaks it up! And the toner of sk 2 hasn't really worked (facial essence) and it smells like erythromycin. What I also like is kiehls products and also mario badescu drying lotion. And I also like skii serums pero I think the same effect can also be done by drugstore ones. Kaso the japanese use them kaya Gaya Lang ako hehe.

Mind you sk2 and olay is from the same parent company same as Estée Lauder practically owns everything else so I think it's all marketing and prestige but it doesn't really do the trick. And eye creams don't work!!! But I still use them lol Baka May chance of 10 percent improvement. Wala naman mawawala right? I think the doctor/lasers/Konting botox/ regular facials is your best friend and maintaining a regimen is your formula To good skin.

Anyhow this is what I'm using and my skin is okay. I'm using products na cheapy only. I mix in sk2 advanced night repair and la prairie (wala naman mawawala :) )

Am
Gentle cleanser (prescription)
Toner (I use erythromycin toner)
Glycolic acid (prescription)
Sk ii serum cellumination essence x
Sk ii cellumination essence x deep surge
Sk ii eye cream skin signature
Sunblock SPF 50 derm (prescription)
Another sunblock  of shiseido SPF 50 (well recommended lightweight)

I do two sunblocks wala Lang :) it won't hurt anyhow!

Pm
Gentle cleanser (prescription)
Bleaching cream (prescription) pea size
AHA cream (prescription) pea size
Advanced night repair (Estée Lauder)
Stem cell whitening and rejuvenation serum vial topical pea size (prescription)
Tretinoin cream pea size (prescription)
La prairie caviar eye cream  and serum
Olay regenerist (olay)
