for those who made euro trip... were planning to visit france, italy and rome... question lang, do we have to stay in different hotels while in different countries?

we'll be landing in geneva, go to annecy with my sister in law then probably go to italy (3 days could be ok?, im thinking of milan), pass by tower of pisa and travel to rome ( im thinking of spending 3 days too) , then go back to annecy to attend her wedding then go to paris

^If you're staying for more than a day per city, per country, then I would say yes. You will need to book a different hotel/ per country / per city if travelling for more than a day. Otherwise you won't have anywhere to stay for the night, unless you have a friend whom you can stay over.

I advised my SIL not to push through muna with her Euro trip this summer. It's her graduation gift pa naman for my niece but I said safety first. Though if you ladies have fixed plans already do go ahead but take extra precaution especially in tourist-magnet places aka the popular tourist attractions.

We are going this May, our trip is primarily geared towards watching the French Open. My opinion kasi is that these terrorists will find a way to carry out their evil plans no matter what we do, and altering our plans would effectively mean we are letting this terrorists win.  So carry on pa rin.

Thanks for the tip though, we will take extra precaution indeed.  Our hotel pa naman is just behind Gare du Nord.

I have a different mentality when it comes to issues of safety: I feel safer right after attacks due to the heightened sense of security. That said, I wouldn't push through a trip I'm not comfortable with. If it were me though, I would rather travel than not and like they say, if airlines generally feel ok to travel somewhere, it should be fine. But again, that's just me and I have the same belief-- if I don't go, if I let these things dictate my plans, the terrorists win. Last year, there were alerts to where I was going and I still went.

Just finished my Euro trip!

Iceland - I love this country! Super na enjoy ko talaga sightseeing dito! Even after 5 whole days, parang bitin pa rin (probably because I was not able to see the Aurora   I want to go back here and drive / get a camping van, sobrang mahal lang talaga ng food! I didnt like the lamb soup / shank, I tried their salmon din but for me parang bland yung taste ng food (or dahil sinipon ako sa weather?). Ang saya din ng ice caving! White siya sa paningin ko pero sa pictures parang blue yung ice sa loob ng cave -- puti kasi lahat ng nakikita ko bago pumasok.

Netherlands - I stayed near Vondelpark and super near Rijksmuseum (but I was only able to see the facade! Stayed only for 1.5 days). Joined the Sandeman's tour - ang galing nung tour guide! Enjoyed walking around Dam Square after the tour, pa ikot ikot ako dun - and may nag try mag pick pocket sakin - naramdaman ko agad and sinigawan ko - sa liit kong to kailangan nila mag double effort para maka pag dukot sakin. Went to Keukenhof to see the tulips! Not yet in full bloom but there were lots of tulips on the area already! Balikan ko NL for Rijksmuseum, and to be able to bike around the area.

Paris Paris is nice! I was scared at first (I don't even want to get back while I was in Iceland - I felt super safe in there), but everything went okay. I was able to get to all the places in my list. Thank you for posting about the Paris Museum Pass! I was able to buy one in Versailles and was able to use it there, in Louvre and in Arc De Triomphe. Walked from Louvre to Arc De Triomphe, crazy ang layo Dami ko namiss sa Louvre, dapat susundan ko yung pathway ng Da Vinci Code, pero na lost ako sa paintings pa lang, pinuntahan ko na lang yung Napoleon's kasi mas interested din ako dun

Lastly, sana namili na ako ng chocolates sa supermarket/grocery sa Amsterdam and Paris! Hindi sulit yung nasa airport ng Paris. Akala ko, katulad sa Iceland na maraming chocolates sa airport, super sayang!

Wow nakakainggit! Gusto ko din magpunta ng Iceland. Yan ang next target namin after ng trip namin this May. If you dont mind sis around how much ang gastos sa Iceland including the airfare from paris? Thanks!

^There's a budget airline for Iceland which is WowAir - they have flights from Amsterdam / Berlin / Paris
Gastos is relative, pero mahal halos lahat ng tours in Iceland. You can check Reykjavik Excursions / Grayline / Extreme Iceland for the tours, marami tour operators I met a pair of Filipinos they will go around in Iceland using a camper van, pwede mo rin check yun

Hi mga sis, thank you sa lahat ng inputs here in the forum. We are leaving Salzburg tom morning then on to Prague. We are enjoying our trip very much. The people are so warm, gracious and so respectful. From the waiters to the shopkeepers, sobrang bait talaga. Sobrang nakaka touch nga. There's this very peaceful, gentle air in Hungary, Austria ....sana ganoon rin sa Prague.

Noong paalis lang kami, delayed by one hour ang flight namin, because of the usual 'air traffic congestion' sa NAIA. We were worried kasi one hour delayed tapos 2 hrs lang ang transit time namin. The captain was also very concerned, he kept on apologizing and said they would do their best to make up and good thing, we landed on time! Pero maiinis ka talaga sa NAIA hayz....

Anyway, happy trip sa lahat ng mga sis!

We did Paris-Prague-Engelberg-Greece in 11days.  I agree sa mga nagsabing ang ganda nga talaga ng Prague

^I suggest Rome Italy, kasi mga seniors gusto ng mga religious activity, madami kayo magagawa and mapupuntahan duon and then siyempre since seniors di naman ganun kabilis maglakad so sakto lang ang 8 days pag di paguran.

Pero pag gusto niyo ding madami cities, isama niyo na din ang Milan at Venice (3 days), i-allot niyo lang ang 5 days sa Rome

Pero depende pa rin sa preference ninyo at ng mga seniors kung ano ba yung gusto niyong maachieve sa europe tour and from there pwede kami magsuggest

sis you may want to check out Access Travel & Tours, lagi kong nakikitang  pinaplug ng mga celebrities sa mga instagram posts nila pag nagtatravel. saw in their site yung "Best of Europe for 15 days", you may want to ask in your case if 8 days lang

Hi!  I will join hubby in his Rome-Tivoli-Asissi tour for a week.  Then DIY na kami after for a week.  Here's our initial IT for the DIY week:

Thurs: Rome-Venice
Fri: Venice-Florence
Sat: Florence - Milan
Sun: Milan-Paris
Mon: Paris
Tue: Paris - Rome
Wed: Vatican - General Audience with Pope
Thu: Rome - Amsterdam (day trip) - Manila

Will inquire at Netherlands, Italy and Paris threads separately.

It's our first trip to Europe.

^if you only have a week, I would concentrate on Italy na lang. Or pick two cities to visit if they're far apart for ex. Rome-Paris. There's just too much places you want to see in a week hindi mo ma-eenjoy yung tour mo.
