^sis Day tour of Amalfi Coast, Naples, and Pompeii is too much for one day coming from Rome. The travel time  alone will take hours. You can only do 1--perhaps Pompeii, and a quick look around Sorrento. But no more time to take the boats/fast crafts to Capri or visit towns down the coast from Sorrento like Positano, Ravello, Amalfi. Impossible na. I suggest you skip Naples, its super not nice there unless you want to see the archaeological museum where all the treasures of Pompeii were transferred. Just go straight to Pompeii, then Sorrento after. .

11 nights in Rome is a bit long =) Unless you have relatives there, it might be better move around and visit other places or even spend a couple of nights at Amalfi Coast. 5 Nights is plenty for Rome. OH and you dont need to allot 1 whole day to visit the Vatican. You can pre-purchase your Vatican Museum ticket online to avoid long lines too. Entrance to the St. Peter's Basilica is free.

re Basel ...any particular reason why Basel? There are many other more interesting places in Switzerland to go for a quick trip =) I suggest Lucerne.

We're still on the planning stage.

Where to book our tour? (Travel Agency or Travel Europe on our own?) Our Travel Agency quoted $7,500/pax for our itinerary with meals.

any suggestion, na pwede namin idagdag sa itinerary?

so excited... so far here is our itinerary:

nov 6-flight from manila to paris
nov 7-arrival in paris
nov 8,9,10,11-paris
nov 12-train from paris to brussels
nov 12-brussels
nov 13-brugge (our base is in brussels)
nov 14-train from brussels to berlin
nov 15,16,17-berlin
nov 18-train from berlin to amsterdam
nov 19,20-amsterdam
nov 21-flight from amsterdam to manila
nov 22-arrival in manila

we were supposed to exit from berlin kaso at the time i was booking ang laki ng difference in airfare, like nasa more than 300 usd.. and then i got our train tickets at really low prices, like berlin to amsterdam is 44 euros, dalawa na kami ni hubby, so okay na

i've booked our airbnb apartment in paris and hotels for brussels, berlin and amsterdam na din..just finalizing our itinerary na lang .. i can't wait!

Hello moms, I am planning for our Europe Trip next year April-May. Me, husband and my 2 year old son. Is this a good weather to travel? Ayaw namin ng sobrang lamig. Can you help us with our IT. We are coming from Bahrain and we wanted to go to:

Paris
Berlin
Switzerland
Amsterdam
Brussels and
Prague

Which one we have to go first. Is 14days enough? We are planning to stay in AirBNB, and very low budget hindi naman kmi metikoloso. And how many days kaya ang pwede i-allot for each country. From that I can start research and make our IT. TIA

^ Hi icegayle, I believe your itinerary is going to be too rushed if you stick to so many in just a matter of 2 weeks.  It would be better to maybe limit it to 3 or 4. But even 4 is going to be too rushed, unless you are just going to go check out the all the famous spots and not linger and really check out the sights. Paris needs at least 3 or 4 days so that you can check museums and go to all the famous places.  Queuing up at the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre Museum already takes time.  Actually just checking out the Denon wing of the Louvre  Museum already takes half a day.  Not to mention, fare is not that cheap even via by train or by air. It's reasonably priced. You may still get cheaper train or plane fair as those months are off peak season.  Anyways, it would still be upto you to decide on what places to see.  By the way, April and May is the middle of spring time so the  weather is  going to be nippy. Not as cold as winter but still nippy.  Oh but I am from London, so what may be so cold to you, might not be so  cold to me.  The temp during those times will probably be somewhere between 7- 15 degrees celsius.  With  proper attire anyone can still go out and tour even if it is cold out.  Tip : Layering.  Bring umbrella.  Good luck on your holiday.

^For a multi-city (open jaw) fare with travel dates in May and June, good deal na yan. Or if you can wait you might want to check out Cathay Pacific's anniversary sale first. They'll have a booth set up this coming 25-27Sep at SM Mega Fashion Hall.

4.5days Paris and Rome - Vatican itinerary

I asked here if its doable and many suggested that its not and just a waste of money but still I pushed with it.

Sat - arrived to Paris at 7pm - rested
Sun - Sacre Cœur visit - Louvre + Museum - Went up the Eiffel Tower and waited for its blinking lights.
Mon - early morning flight to Rome (FCO) cab to Vatican (btw I got a room just outside St. Peter's Square) so it is very convenient. Bought a daily bus pass and went to 9 (Campo de' Fiori, P.zza Navona, Leonardo da Vinci's exhibit, Chiesa di Sant'Ignazio, Pantheon, Fontana di Trevi, P.zza Venezia, Colosseo, Poro Romano) different places in Rome and some shopping also.
Tues - Vatican Museum + Sistine Chapel, St. Peter's Basilica and going up the Dome, was also able to attend the 5pm mass at St. Peter's Basilica main chapel. Great experience to be upfront of the basilica!
Wed - (23rd Sept) will do the bus route to have the panoramic view plus other sites.

Overall it was all worth it. <3

hi girls, can i use my mastercard credit card in europe even though it doesnt have an electronic chip yet? my only credit card which has a chip has a low credit limit lang kasi.

^ Hi rowan, yes you can.  But, you have to check first if they take Mastercard. Not all establishments takes Mastercard, but most do accept Visa.  I have used my US Visa credit card (with no chip) numerous times in the UK and other parts of Europe, during the times that I got short of cash   They do accept it. But you have to check the establishment first, there are also some that do not take cards altogether, and only accept cash. But these are small and quirky establishments. Most of the bigger shops do accept major credit card.

^hi Rowan, just to clarify, Bigger establishments do take major credit cards.  But there are some that just takes visa.  There are also some that do not take at all. If you're in a big city, and going to a big establishment, then most probably there will be a store that takes in Mastercard.  All I am saying is that not all accepts it, that is why it is better to ask first if they accept MC.  I mostly travel with cash, and use my cards for emergency or just as an added bonus when shopping   Have a good holiday.

we were there last week, accepted naman mastercard and visa card ng metrobank at bpi. Tinawagan muna namin metrobank and bpi for travel advisory. Sa mga ticket vending machine need cc na may pin.

Hi guys! My family is planning a Europe tour March next year (Holy Week). My parents want mag-tour nalang para less hassle. We found a travel agent na ang price is Usd3988 inclusive of airfare, transfers, accommodations, travel insurance, entrance fees and some meals.

Highlights of the tour are Rome, Pisa, Venice, Innsbruck, Lucerne, Vaduz, Germany, Amsterdam, Brussels and Paris. Sayang lang walang UK. if I remember correctly, 12 days/ 11 nights sya.

Ok na kaya yun or mahal sya? And any feedback sa Rakso Travel?
