siguro i wasn't meant to have laparoscopy kasi ang daming naging hassle kaya laparotomy talaga ang ginawa sa akin. haha

december 12
- dra jing advised me to visit her clinic in QC, possible na ma-admit na on the same day. pero nung pagdating namin, there is no available operating room at that time so we need to resched. the next open schedule is on december 17. we agreed that the we will do hysteroscopy, myomectomy via laparoscopy.

december 16
- we went to st luke's QC again because i already got my admit order. we were there early kasi coding kami and we're coming from taguig pa. buti na lang hindi ako nagpa-admit agad kasi before 5PM, dra jing called me to say that the morcellator is not available kasi nasira. we can't have a successful laparoscopy without it. my options were: 1) transfer from st luke's QC to BGC; 2) open surgery or laparotomy. but when i asked our HMO, i can't have the operation at BGC kasi walang access doon yung card kahit reimbursement so we were left with option 2.

10 PM - no more food and drinks
11 PM - enema (1 round lang)

december 17
4 AM - enema
6.45 AM - transferred to OR, spinal anes
7 AM - operation

december 19 i got discharged na kasi nag utot at poop na ako. hehe

about the expenses, our total bill was 166k+ (hospital bill and PF). we paid a total of 156K, na minus na ang philhealth. 80k+ ang PF ng OB at anes tapos 50k+ sa regular private na room.

my OB was happy naman that we did laparotomy instead. sa last ultrasound, yung myoma ko halos kasinlaki na ng uterus ko. and sabi ni OB, yung left tube parang hindi naman siya barado (gaya ng sabi sa hysterogram ko). naiipit lang yung left tube ko sa sobrang bigat na nung bukol ko. haha.

happy din kami kasi i got discharged before our 1st anniversary. haha. ayun nga lang, bawal BD. hahahaha. after two cycles pa daw kami pwede mag-try

Hi mga sis. Pls help. Laparoscopy nadin kasi advise ng doc sakin. I have endo. Prob ko kulang pa sa budget. St lukes din kasi doctor ko. Kahit my discount malaki padin. Philhealth lang meron ako. My idea ba kayo mga sis sa health insurance? Like maxicare? Balak ko kasi kumuha, tipong habang nag aantay pa sa operation and ipon, kuha ako nun as individually paying, my idea ba kayo kung magamit ba agad yun insurance after ilan mos lang?? Bala ko kasi ngayon year na paopera. Sis allysond, ano insurance yun sayo? Maxicare din ba yun sayo galing sa company mo? Pls help.

Sis tulips sa case ko hindi ako binigyan ni OB,..kaya nga medyo narealize ko na parang dapat meron diba,..nagpahinga muna kame ni hubby,..ang mahal kasi ng meds namin,..sabi namin enjoy muna kame mas napunta kasi kame ng hospital mas napepressure kame,..

My hubby went to australia para magwork,..plan ko sumunod dun,..sana makabuo kame dun,.we will take the risks para lang magkasama,..

Ikaw sis musta na? Matagal din ako hindi nadalaw dito,..

sis allysond, yes sis halos parehas pala tayo.nacheck na rin tubes mo? ttc ka rin sis? nacheck na nung oct ang fallopian tubes ko, thanks God both are patent. sabi din ni ob after ng lap malinis daw ang tubes ko.

share lang po sa mga expenses:

had my lap done in PGH. nakakuha po kami ng small private room na fully renovated which is 1,600 per day as pay patients (meron po kasing small private na hindi renovated 1,100 po yun) tinuruan ako ni ob kung pano makapag pareserve ng room thru call lang, kasi po yung iba daw naghihintay doon sa pay admitting section para lang mabigyan ng room.. pm me if you what to know the direct line of pay admitting section, they will entertain you naman at kukunin ang pangalan mo. nga pala, need din po ng deposit sa PGH, i paid 12,800 as deposit pagka admit kapag with in 3 days ka lang mag stay.

more or less po 19k ang nagastos ko sa hosp bills (admit ng mon, discharge ng wens) super nice po ng mga nurse doon at mga assist ng doctors, everytime na magpapalit sila ng shift, they will go to your room to endorse the new nurse.
3k nabiling gamot sa labas
50k bayad sa ob ko
20k bayad sa anes
10k bayad sa assist ob.

all in all mga 102k more or less po ang nagastos ko.. hope this help po..

^hi sis, grabe ang mahal din pala kahit sa PGH. plano ko na kasi magpa-lap this March, after ng period ko. sabi ng OB ko kasi usually right after ng period iisked. ask ko lang less philhealth na ba yun binayaran mo tsaka pwede rin ba cover ng healthcard yan? sino pala OB mo sis? tsaka ilan days ka kailangan magleave before you go back to work? puwede rin ba sa PGH yun credit card? hehe, sorry daming questions. yes sis onlytechgirl, less of philhealth na po yun. dra leonila casanova is my ob. covered sya ng healthcard pero di ko alam kung pwede credit card sis. 3 weeks lang ako nagleave sis pero pwede hanggang 2 months. pwede natin file sa magna carta.

^hindi pwede hindi nila i-honor ang magna carta sis kasi batas talaga yun. kapag ayaw pumayag, pwede mo yun report sa DOLE.

advise ko sayo, i-print mo yung pdf kapag nakipag-usap ka sa HR ninyo tapos kapag ayaw ka pagbigyan, pabasa mo sa kanila yung DOLE guidelines about magna carta. haha.

mga sis mag ask lang ako kung paano ba ang biopsy sa Pinas convert dito sa U.S and I am bit scary kc sabi ng OB ko meron syang nakita na fibroids based sa ultrasound ko at need i biopsy para daw ma sure na di sya cancerous tapos tinanong ko paano yung biopsy sabi nya dun lang daw sa clinic nya so meaning walang anesthesia marami kc nagsasabi masakit daw yun sobra kaya natatakot ako..sa inyo ba mga sis na nag under go biopsy how it is? at totoo ba na masakit talaga? please share some experience and advice.  TIA.

Sis, pa advise naman, ok lang ba mag pa open surgery pag my endometriosis? Mga ob na napunthan ko, lap ang advise, pero momy ko kasi parang ayaw, kasi yun tito ko na doctor, pero not ob, bakit padaw ako magla lap e pwede naman daw open surgery. Mahal daw kasi. etc. Tsaka sabi mom ko para lang naman ako kunwari i ceasaran kng takot ako sa malaking cut. Pero natatakot naman ako sa open e. never ba kayo na advise ng ob na open? Alam ko kasi tlg lap na an inaadvise pag endo e. parents ko kasi nakikinig sa tito ko kesa sakin kasi doctor yun. Hay. Hindi ko tuloy alam.

^hi sis dumaan ako sa 3 OB , 2 of them advise na maglaparoscopy instead open. Explain mo sa kanila na mahal nga siya pero less sakit naman tsaka easy recovery. Other doctors recommend open kasi madali sa part nila.

@onlytechgirl: oo nga sis e, siyempre mas hindi sobra matakot pag lap kasi alam natin maliit lang yun incision. Yun tito ko kasi doc mas sanay siya naririnig yun open surgery mas mura pa. para lang daw robot yun lap. hay. Yun pang 4th doc ko kasi st lukes qc din, e quote niya 150-200k. Tingin ko kahit my discount mahal padin, tsaka hindi talaga masabi kung yung total. Kasi kay sis allysond nga 150k quote sa kanya, pero umabot siya 230k. E ako wala naman healthcard. Sa manila doctors ba, magkano? My idea ba kayo? My nagpa lap ba dito sa Manila doctors? Baka mas mura lap dun para pumayag na sila.

^ayun nga sis, until now hindi pa rin ako nagpapalap kasi ang mahal talaga. Hindi nga ako makapaniwala na sa pgh na public aabot ng lagpas ng 100k less hmo at philhealth. Nag iipon pa ako tska wait pa ako go signal ng OB ko. Sa madocs daw ata mas mura, kaso yun OB ko hindi affiliated dun.

annmitch yung procedure ko, open surgery ako instead of laparoscopy. mga 150k+ din ang bill (hospital bills + PF) na yun. yun nga, mas matagal ang recovery. sa st luke's qc din ako naoperahan. kung laparoscopy, tingin ko lagpas talaga 150k yun.

sa case ko naman, sabi ng OB ko, mas happy siya na nag-open kami kesa lap. nakalimutan ko kung bakit haha (sorry, na-spinal anes na kasi ako or groggy pa ako nun nung kinausap niya ako sa recovery room  )

ako, i don't mind yung incision kasi bikini cut naman siya and maganda yung pagkakatahi. ni-treat ko nalang siya na battle scar.

Hi Mga sis - ngayon lang ulit ako na-visit dito. Anyway, update ko lang kayo. Hindi na-approve before sa magna carta leave ko so what I did, nagpunta ako ng DOLE to inquire. Medyo mahabang proseso pero in the end, na-grant din naman. Yun nga lang 14 days lang binigay sa akin na paid MC leave. Okay na din kesa totally wala. Yun lang.

Ngaun lang ulit ako nadalaw, been busy lately,..i started to see ulit an OB/RE pero shes different from my last oB/Re,..

hi guys, just want to update you 1.5yrs post lap. last week i had 2days spotting on the supposed date of my af. based on my readings, there could be four reasons for this. first is hormonal, second is preparation for your actual af, third is implantation bleeding, and lastly there is something wrong inside you.

i have never been irregular, laging fix number of days. the spotting i had is brownish to black. until now di na ako nagkaroon. but i feel cramping. there is sticky vaginal discharge, there are episodes ng pagkahilo pero iniisip ko baka dahil lang sa anemia. tapos feeling ko nasusuka me palagi pero not to the point na i am about to vomit. iniisip ko gutom lang kaya lagi ako kumakain.

i had one PT pero negative. luma na kasi yung tester ko, i bought it a yr ago and was around the house for a long time..though not yet expired. hehe. i will test again next week. there were stories kasi na not until the 10th week pa na detect ang hcg. usually mababa daw ang hcg ng ibang babae kahit buntis na, and isang sign ng mababang hcg yung implantation bleeding.

we are praying and hoping this is it. i will update you mga sis!

^sis so sad. my af came after several days. could be hormonal o seasonal ang reason. nanibago yata ang katawan ko sa different time zones. ikaw sis, kasama mo na ba si hubby sa Australia?

we are planning to consult an RE na. lapit na naman kasi bday ko at 1yr na kami ttc. i feel the pressure now. baka mapalayo pa si hubby at mapromote naman ako, lalo na mahirapan magBD haha.

wag ka ma-sad sis.. kami din +/- 1 year TTC.

ako may good news. december 2013 ako nagpa-lap tapos 2 months rest from TTC. pero bago matapos ang february, nabuo na si blessing! di pa nga pwede sabi ni OB e. kaso anong gagawin ko di ba? andiyan na siya, wala ng bawian! haha 

14 days lang binigay sa akin na paid MC leave. Okay na din kesa totally wala. Yun lang.

buti binayaran parin yung 14 days sis. malaking tulong din yun. kasama naman talaga yun sa batas... right talaga natin na mga babae yun di ba? saka documented naman yung procedure, may issued medical at confinement cert naman ang hospital kaya kahit maging skeptic pa si employer, e malinis naman konsensya natin na nagpa-opera talaga tayo. sorry kung medyo intense ako. hahaha 

saka kapag laparoscopy sis hindi ata siya major surgery. meron sa isa sa mga pdfs na available sa http://pcw.gov.ph kung alin yung mga considered na major/minor.
