Smx is on September 16 and 17 yata, not sure pero sa Themes and Motifs yun.

i personally prefer nga yung fairs in smx. kasi bigger space. and more suppliers. i went before dun sa world trade. maliit lang and not known yung ibang suppliers. hehe

One piece of advice that we should have followed was to bring loads of cash kasi wala silang CC or debit card facilities.  This is especially true sa PICC where there are no ATMs nearby.

(based on observations lang)

I haven't even heard of Fisher Mall.  We might drop by, mostly to explore the mall itself.  ;)

Hi mga sis, worth it pa bang um attend ng bridal fairs? Having our wedding next year so i'm planning ngayon palang :-[

Yes, it is.  Mostly it's where you can score discounts.  It's also an opportunity to get to know and compare different suppliers.  BUT you have to be prepared before going to one.  A few tips to prepare yourself prior to going to a bridal fair:

1.  RESEARCH.  This is the most important step.  Research will enable you to learn who the reputable (as well as disreputable) suppliers are. If you go to a bridal fair without any prior research, you will just find it a big, noisy and chaotic place.

2.  LIST all the stuff that you need.  If you don't know what you need yet, the best way to start a list is to download any caterer's wedding package.  That will then enable you to assess which details are more important than the others, and will enable you to prioritize certain types of suppliers over the others when you go to a bridal fair.

3.  KEEP in mind your budget range always.  It will help you not get salestalked into prematurely committing to a supplier.

4.  BRING wads of cash (i.e. 500- and 1000-peso bills).  Suppliers in bridal fairs only require a small amount for you to lock in the discounted rates they offer.  No CCs nor debit card facilities in bridal fairs.

5.  HAVE a good night's sleep the night before.  Seriously, - and this is my personal experience - if you're coming from a night shift and go straight to a bridal fair in the morning, you will soon be drowned by the details and will likely not be able to discern a good deal.

6.  BRING a big envelope or document bag.  There's no such thing as a paperless bridal fair.

7. REMEMBER that it's okay to say "no" or ignore completely any reps that approach you if you're not really interested in what they offer.  That will save you some precious time and spend it on suppliers that you really want of need.
