Same question here, for minors if hindi kasama ang father kailangan ng DSWD clearance? First time, namin ng daughter ko to travel without her dad since hindi na makakaleave si hubby sa work.

Hi any suggestion kung ano ilalagay sa occupation since kakagraduate ko lang this year. So basically I'm unemployed at first time to travel abroad and kasama ko ate ko na government employee pero job order lang sya. September pa trip namin, nakakakaba lang kasi baka maoffload ako or kami. Any tips? Thank you!

^ as far as I know, as long as kasama ang nanay, no need for DSWD clearance. I might be wrong though.

@ sis izabelle, i think kailangan mong i-confirm sa DSWD kasi i remember nung 16 ako kinailangan ng mama ko magpa pirma sa dad ko nung DSWD form kasi nasa SG dad ko nun and tatlo kaming under 18 ng mga kapatid ko. that was 10 years ago. kung nagbago yung process, then that's good. pero to be safe, confirm mo na lang sa DSWD.

^ Thanks for sharing sis. Si sis luvko yung need ng info about dswd clearance. As for me, dalawa kami ng husband ko na kasama ng daughter namin so no problem with clearance.

I dont have itr po kasi small business lang naman na tindahan sa bahay.. Maybe dalhin ko nalang business permit sa barangay namin.and regarding sa cc..i have lang po apps sa phone ko pwede na kaya yun..so ilalagay ko nalang selfemployed kesa housewife..haist

about dun sa dswd question above, hinde naman need sis basta kasama Nanay.
When my sister & her kids (all are minor) went to SG for vacation walang DSWD permit na hinanap.
Female Cousin ko din lagi kasama son to all her trips, hinde din hinahanapan .
Mga recent trips lahat to.

I think iba ang case kapag father lang ang kasama (?).

Share ko lang experience ko with IO. Freelancer ako, I work online. Hindi ako first time traveller, pero first time ko mag-travel ng solo.  Una last February, sa Malaysia, sobrang bilis lang. Tinanong lang kung ilang days ako dun. Medyo nalito pa nga ako kasi ang tanda ko lang yung dates ng alis at balik ko, di ko bilang kung ilang days. hehe Anyways, so ayun, after nun wala na. Inaabot ko pa nga old passport ko, hindi na daw. Nag-print rin ako ng mga hotel reservations ko pero hindi naman tiningnan.

Then, recently lang, nag travel ulit ako solo, sa Thailand naman. Medyo strict yung IO. Tinanong ako, anong work ko as a freelancer. Nung sinabi kong online, gusto pa tingnan yung account ko sa online job ko. Tapos ano daw yung current client ko, etc. etc.  Pero ok naman, wala naman naging problema.

Few years back, nag-travel rin kami ng sis ko, sa Cambodia naman. Pareho kaming freelancer, pero ang bilis lang rin.  Sakin, tinanong lang kung sino kasama ko at tiningnan yung hotel reservations.   Yung sis ko, walang copy ng hotel reservations, hindi nya rin alam kung anong hotel kami, ako kasi lahat nagasikaso ng bookings. Hindi ko naman naisipan na bigyan sya ng copy, hehe.  Sinabi lang nya, 'nasa kasama nya'. Tapos  ayun, ok na, hindi na hinanap.

Hindi ko alam kung naging mahigpit sila ngayon or depende lang sa matatapatang IO. hehe

Nung pumunta kami SG, May 2016, kumuha ako DSWD Clearance, pero hindi hinanap ng IO sa airport, pero kasi "family" kami, MIL, SIL, SIL&son, me&son. So hindi siguro sila maghihinala, magkaka apelyido pa kami. Ako lang yung adult na first time mag aabroad. Iba iba kasi judgment ng mga IO e.

For me, kapag iba iba sinasabi ng tao, like sasabihin ng isang sis, need ng ganito ganyan, yung isa naman, hindi na daw need. Dun ako sa sigurado kahit pa in the end "sayang, sana di nalang kumuha ek ek", may pagka control freak kasi ako e.

Best to call DSWD.

Saka sa DSWD, I kepp telling them (sa tao sa information at sa mismong taong nagasikaso sakin) na, ang aalis me(mother) and my son. My husband can't come with us kasi hindi pinayagan mag leave. Hindi naman sinabi sakin na, okay lang yan hindi mo na kailangan kumuha, instead we pushed through with the process, kinausap pa nga husband ko over the phone (pinatawagan sakin using my phone).

Just got back from the US 3 weeks ago

Nung turn ko na sa immigration, walang tanung tanung. Tinignan yung passport ko puro tatak eh hehe

It helps pag dala dala mo din yung mga old passports na may tatak

Thinking of going to Japan this year

Kung matuloy, this will be my 4th out of the country this year hehe

Re DSWD - I agree best to call them. As far as I know though, hindi talaga kailangan if kasama BOTH parents. Kapag hindi kasama ang isa sa parents, yan ang hindi ko sure. This link might help https://www.philippine-embassy.org.sg/the-philippines-2/dswd-travel-clearance-for-filipino-minors-2/

Re IO - Case to case basis, meron parang walang pakielam, meron maraming tanong. Best to always be prepared. Wala naman mawawala if you bring all documents that can help.

hehe I had a bad experience with an IO when crossing the land border of Malaysia to SG. The officers detained us, and I just recently resigned and she asked if I had a job or if I was studying. I answered no to both and she said, "So what the hell are you doing in the Philippines?". I just smiled and calmly told her that I resigned and I'm on vacation. She let me go, but Im pretty sure she tagged me on super high risk or whatever the hell they do. hahah

Yes, mahigpit sila ngayon due to heightened terrorism activities. halos lahat ng stations dito na may influx ng tourists like shopping districts may mga police (bugis, orchard, etc). especially if coming from MY.

^ yes po. JB to Woodlands, SG. This happened beginning of July. Exiting SG,no issue. Re-entering lang. I dont really believe what IO's say is the reason for detention, and they told us basta Filipino first timer daw sa SG i.detain for profiling. Eh, didnt they do that at the airport already? I know IO's are trained to believe we're all liars so I was just meh.. There was a chinese couple who also happened to be detained earlier than we were, and even when we left.

It didnt help that a week earlier our detention, some were carrying drugs and smuggling live animals hahaha

I hate super nosy IOs. Sa recent trip ko, aba ang daming tanong -- attached na yung old passport ko sa lagay na yan. Questions asked: how long will I be traveling- 13days, sabi niya pa, "bat ang tagal? buti pinayagan ka ng company? Ang spoiled mo sa company nyo?". Parang ang unprofessional na ng dating -- hindi mo lang mabara kasi baka hindi ka makalabas ng bansa, but sad to say, fail talaga minsan ang mga IOs natin.

@ sis kachich it happened to me too dati, pero it was about how i got my residency sa SG. ang daming tanong, paano daw ako naging PR, gaano na daw ako katagal sa SG, etc... nung nakulitan na ko at sinabi kong 'singaporean dad ko,' (which is true) nanahimik sya at nag iba na yung tono ng pananalita, parang nirespeto na ako. lol! natakot ata kasi pwede ko i-complain sila sa MFA dito sa SG.

my dad told me to always remember the name of the immigration officer, para daw pwede i-complain sa embassy (or sa immigration)

Are these the IO's in Manila? Okay lang naman yung na.timing ko na IO sa Cebu... pero yes, depende lang ata yung kuti...yung window behind sa akin hinihingi ng daming documents, yung in front of me dami din hinihingi..
