 I was granted an Aus Student Visa. Ano po ang dapat dalhin or pakita sa IO pag andun na? It is my first time to travel out of the country.

Hi mga sis! I'll be flying to SG this Friday and I'll be staying at my boyfriend's place for 4 days. He's in SG for 3 months only due to the request of our company's SG office. Pero based talaga kami dito sa PH. Question, kailangan pa ba ng invitation letter from him? I already have my RT ticket, COE, pocket money, company ID, and approved leave form. Kulang pa kaya yun? Hehe. I'm just so paranoid na ma-offload ako kasi pinaghirapan namin yung money for this vacation. TIA!

Basta be honest and confident when facing IOs. Wala ka naman gagawin masama dun so wag kang kabahan. Hehe!

Btw, just show the IO the document being asked. Wag mo bibigay agad-agad lahat ng docs mo.

^ sis, usually wala naman sinasabi or tinatanong mga immigration officers, pati sa Japan.  just hand over your passport and arrival card.  yung dito lang sa immigration natin sa departure, they usually ask if you work for the govt, saan ka company nagwowork.  abroad, ang natatandaan ko lang na nagsalita yung IO was in LA.  Pinoy kasi yung IO so tanong tanong lang ano gawa namin sa bakasyon, medyo kwento din sya na matagal na sya sa LA.  Pero it's more like a friendly chat between Pinoys

Depende talaga kung kanino ka matatapat na IO. Sakin kasi, papunta akong SG, ang tinanong lang sakin kung san ako nagwowork, anong klaseng company yun, at kung kelan ako babalik. Pero dun sa kasama ko, mas madaming tinanong sa kanya.

Hi mga sis! I'll be traveling with my whole family and my husband this Holy Week through PAL. 4th time ko na lalabas ng country with them, 1st with my hubby but I'm currently unemployed (he is though). Tinatamad pa kase ako maghanap ng work haha! What should I put in my immigration card? I have sufficient money naman on hand, will bring my savings ATM and credit card to be sure as well. Thinking just to use my old company ID but then having second thoughts. 

Also for those who are married, okay lang ba na 2 kame ni hubby sa IO?  Thanks!

^housewife ako before. nung nag Japan kami housewife nilagay ko sa Immigration card. tapos nung nasa immigration kami sa pinas solo lang ako. inask ako kung sino kasama ko nasa kabilang lane husband ko tinuro ko lang. nag travel din ako mag isa before going to SG sa PAL dami ko dala supporting docs like coe ko at ng husband ko, hindi naman ako masyado tinanong.

^wala sis. sa totoo lang di pa ko nakakaranas na madaming tanong ang IO eh dito man o abroad. pero lagi akong ready pag ganon hehe.

Pansin ko sa mga IO kapag medyo bata like me, ang unang tinatanong sinong kasama nagtatravel. Yung last 3 trips ko yun ang unang tanong sakin. Para bang pag sinabi kong mag isa lang ako medyo red flag na sa kanila kahit di first time traveler. Bawal na ba mag abroad mag isa ngayon?

^Actually parang ganun na nga, bawal na ata mag-travel abroad mag isa ngayon haha! Buti na lang rin I'm always with the family during travels so wala rin tanong. Iffy lang me now first time ko mag-travel ng unemployed haha.

Hi Sis, medyo late reply na to. I'm living here in Japan, and I usually have friends and relatives going here w/ tourist visas. Usually sa JP immigration, they will ask where are you staying. You have to give them full address and contact no. if possible. Once, my bf gave my address but not specified. He had been asked many questions. Eventually he had to give my name and contact no. as guardian/guarantor.

I need some advice and help, I'll be travelling to India next month and will be staying there for about 4 weeks, I'll be staying at my friends place so I don't have hotel bookings. I'm also worried because I'm a freelancer and doesn't have ITR or COE, etc. This is also my first solo travel abroad.

What can I do to make sure that I won't be offloaded, because ticket to India is really expensive and I don't want it to go to waste?

^get a hold of the eticket visa for India and a return ticket. There's no reason for them to offload you if you have everything you need to get to India and get back to the Philippines.

^thanks sis.. got the RT ticket and applying for the eticket visa today. Do I need anything else aside from that? Maybe an invitation letter or something since I won't be staying in a hotel during my stay?

Funny thing happened during my recent Bangkok trip with the IO here. Since I just renewed my passport malinis pa yung passport ko. After I handed my passport sa young lady IO I got the impression that she immediately profiled me and started asking a bunch of questions with commentaries pa like saan ako nagwo-work (retired so housewife ako now), bakit daw retired na ako ang bata ko pa daw (eh anong paki mo - syempre hindi ko sinabi yun no), sino kasama ko (solo), sino pupuntahan ko (my husband), ano work ni husband (pilot), ah so flight attendant ka (hindi airline ground manager) etc.

As in sunod-sunod yung tanong nya. Nagulat ako kasi hindi ako sanay na ininterview ng ganun haha. Anyway when she asked whether it was my first trip abroad sabi ko hindi (I used to work for the airlines nga eh). Then she started asking saan daw ako nakapunta na. By this time I was getting tired na of answering her questions, so I told her dala ko yung previous passport ko gusto mong tingnan? Ayun! Tiningnan sabay tatak.

So if any of you are traveling with a new passport it's a good idea to bring your previous one para makita yung travel history nyo.
