I got married last week of July, gathered the documents and submitted them second week of October, got the visa 1st week of November. Mabilis lang naman ang processing, tumagal lang ako because I had to wait for IELTS result, and the NSO marriage certificate took a month and a half before marelease.  I attended din CFO seminar, yun ang medyo hassle, kasi you have to line up so early.

^ thanks for the feedback. is the IELTS test the one to prove your english proficiency? i have been reading other threads and it gave it different companies/testing centers but it didn't say that it was IELTS

Yes, they accept IELTS as proof of English proficiency.  But you can take other English language proficiency exams, as long as it is listed here: http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitecontent/applicationforms/new-approved-english-tests.pdf
