hi sisses, ask ko lang po if you can recommend a catering in calamba, laguna.  we'll be having our team building/outing in a private resort and we're thinking of having it catered na lang. thanks!

Laguna, Cavite, Tagaytay area yan afaik. Nabasa ko sya somewhere sa weddings & engagements section yang Tops Catering. Inquire ka na lang din sis ng rates or if pwede mag food tasting.

May mga online reviews din naman kahit pano, haven't tried them personally but looks okay naman. I thought to get them too pero matagal pa kasi yung event September pa hehe.

What do you think about kubiertos catering.. cheaper ang price nila how about the service kaya kamusta naman?? 


any suggestion po mga ka GT.. Queensland kasi nagtaas na tapos may additional pa sila for december event.

Sa mga nagpacustomize ng menu, paano kayo nakadecide which caterer to book kung di niyo naman natikman yung menu na binigay nila? We're struggling to decide on a caterer kasi considering ang nakikita lang namin ay menu nila di naman namin natikman. We've heard back from the following caterers:

The Hearty Onion
8 Spoons
Bistro 109

So far, okay naman ang reviews na nabasa ko though parang si 8 Spoons ang pinakamarami. I'm leaning towards them dahil sa reviews, not necessarily the best menu based lang from reading it. Gusto ko lang sana matikman.

Sa mga customers ng caterers na to, would you recommend them and why? Thank you!

^ sis I'll vouch for bistro 109 since I had a first hand experience with them na. Found them here in GT then sa mga mommy blogs and may good and not so good feedback sa food kaya we decided to contact them directly and mag food tasting but I always take note of the food items na nabasa ko dito and sa blogs na bestseller nila / maraming positive reviews kaya kahit nagsend na sila sakin ng sample menus pinilit ko na icustomize according to items na gusto namin ni hubby para yun ang iserve sa FT hehe! Come our wedding day, kaming couple dami namin nakain lol and satisfied naman kami pati guests.

Okay din ang service staff nila sis madami on the day at well groomed, sa styling naman di na kami kumuha ng event stylist kasi okay na kami sa minimalist setup nila at eye candy talaga ang lighted buffet table nila kaya wala ng any upgrade. Sa table cloth, plates, utensils even the glasses walang visible or too obvious scratches kami napansin on the day, either timing na new set nila yun hehe or well maintained lang talaga nila yung gamit.

^ Okay sis balitaan mo ko sa japanese menu na yan at if nakapag ft na kayo :-D tama maayos sila magpresent ng menu and balanced, kasi yung samin before dalawa yung gusto kong ipilit na cream based na food item then nag suggest sila ng tomato based then yung dessert namin na panna cotta binalance lang yung cream para walang umay factor and nagustuhan naman namin nung ft and same taste pa din on the day. Goodluck sis sa caterer hunt mo. :-)

We had a food tasting with Bistro 109 today, and final na, sila na ang magca-cater sa party ng bagets namin
Food was great and Chef Chino and Anne were very nice and accommodating. Too bad we were not able to try the desserts but Chef Chino offered to deliver them to our house within this week.

Adult buffet menu
-Salad: Lettuce romaine, candied walnuts, sundried tomatoes and parmesan shavings in balsamic vinaigrette
-Soup: Seafood chowder
-Pasta: Fusilli, smoked salmon, sundried tomatoes, capers and olives Aglio olio served with garlic bread
-Chicken: Baked Chicken Leg with Mozzarella, tomatoes and basil
-Fish: Parmesan encrusted snapper fillet with corn and beans
-Carving Station: Roast US beef chuck eye with red wine jus

Kiddie buffet menu
-Spaghetti Carbonara
-Beef and cheddar mini burger
-Chicken lollipop in sweet glaze
-Fish fingers with tartar mayo

Dessert buffet
-Vanilla panna cotta with mangoes kiwis and walnuts
-Orange creme brulee
-Banoffee tartlets
-Mango torte

^ Yay! Nakapili ka na pala ng caterer sis Same tayo sa chicken, fish and beef entree sarap nyan. Yung sa desserts winner yang vanilla panna cotta with mango, kiwi and candied walnut at banoffee tartlets yan din dessert namin before. Yep chef chino, anne and clarissa are very nice. Well expained lage ni chef ang sineserve nya. Enjoy the party preps sis!

^^Hi sis, yes, ginawa kong reference yung inemail mo sakin na menu nyo, thank you! Changed lang the pasta, gusto ko kase oil-based. Sa fish nman, initially, salmon ang gusto ko kaso nung ni-quote na umabot ng 700 per head, hindi pa kasama yung desserts sa package so chef Chino suggested the Encrusted snapper fillet para kahit papano pumasok sa budget ko

@dreamweaver83, I order party trays to get a sampling of the food of caterers mentioned here and elsewhere.  When we attend parties, I also take note of the caterer.

Attended a party over the weekend where Passion Cooks was the caterer, food was so-so lang for me. My MIL complained it was too salty.
