Hi all!

Na-engganyo akong mag-invest sa stocks dahil sa thread na to, maraming salamat sa mga matiyagang sumagot sa mga katanungan naming mga newbies

Hot na hot ngayon ang DD haha. Nakuha ko siya at P3.74 and ang laki na ng gain ko sa kanya ngayon Maganda yung PR ng DD and I thought na mukhang okay siya for long-term investing. Hindi ko naman inasahan na aariba siya nitong mga nakaraang araw.

Medyo bumaba lang siya ngayon dahil nag-release ng hindi magandang prediction ang COL haha. I'm not sure tuloy kung hanggang kelan ko siya hahawakan at kung ibebenta ko na ba siya habang 150% ang gain ko. Baka kasi tumaas pa siya at manghinayang ako. And at the same time, baka bumulusok na rin pababa and mawala lahat ng gain ko 

Anyway, ayoko na lang siya tignan araw araw although I can't help it haha. I always tell myself na lang na long term investment naman ang goal ko. I started last December lang and now ang buong portfolio ko is 50% gain na, thanks to DD haha.

What is the market hours and off hours market?

I just got my password from COL and after logging thru my account is says market is closed
and off hours market is also closed. And I don't anong oras ba specifically open to buy & sell?

Market is open from 930AM to 12NN then 130PM to 330PM

Placed my order this morning but its not showing on my portfolio but it says the order is accepted, why is that? Can someone please explain? I still have poor understanding on how it goes.

baka di pa na-hit yung price na sinet mo pagbili.

example:

you placed an order for stock X for 10 pesos, pagkaplace mo (order is accepted) biglang tumaas ang price at naging 11 pesos kaya hindi pa sya na-e-execute. Kung COL ang gamit mo check the view order tab para makita mo kung ano status. :-)

Yes its still there. Can be modified or cancel still. Can I just cancel it with no charges? Thanks

I cancelled my GTC of DD at 9.  baka mas bumaba pa eh.

Oo, for me watch na lang muna si DD kita mo naman kasi nag x5 siya in just 2months which is too good to be true, but you can see naman the owners of DD na pinapakita nilang malayo ang mararating ng DD but like what brokers said hindi naman sila mining company na pwede mag yield ng todo sa malls limited pa rin ang profit.  I'm glad I was able to take profit from DD. =D  I will buy DD again pero hindi pa ngayon kapag nag correct na ang price =D

^ I finally sold my DD stocks this morning, naka-145% gain na rin ako so di na masama

Medyo nakakatakot na nga rin 'yung bilis ng pag-angat niya so binenta ko na to be sure! Bibili na lang ulit ako kapag bumaba na.

Stick na lang ulit ako sa blue chips tutal naman long term investment talaga ang goal ko sa stocks

^I have extra funds pa naman sa COL account ko pero at the moment, I am not buying anything kasi scared ako sa "sell in May and go away" na sinasabi nila.

Re: DD: sabi ng isang commenter sa Rappler (of course I'm not sure kung gaano siya ka-reliable):

"This will crash sooner (short-term) but eventually it will recover (mid-term), this time taking a much more stable rise.
If you're an investor for this stock and you see this good in the long run, then hold this EVEN IF the crash occurs. That will be the time to add more holdings.
If you're a trader for this stock, the crash will be imminent. Trade accordingly."

I was planning to hold this stock for the long term pero I guess nasilaw ako sa 145% gain ko haha. At natakot din sa mga predictions. Newbie lang talaga ako so extra cautious ako (kulang pa sa lakas ng loob haha). Bibili na lang ulit ako kapag mababa na ulit si DD. Maganda performance niya today, asa around 5% ang gain.

Funded my COL account yesterday for the initial funding. 3 working days pa daw makukuha yung password to start trading! Yay hinahabol ko pa naman yung isang company!

Hi! I recently decided I wan't to buy stocks na. However, wala akong kaalam alam in this area. Do you know trainings and seminars na nagcconduct about this? Or anyone here kind enough to teach me?
