Is it ok to invest sa East West Bank. I'm planning to sell half AGI for this. Reconsidering EEI din.
Also, where to see the ex-date, etc para alam ko til when ko ikeep yung stock para na rin sa dividends.

i bought it Jan. 22 & 23 so roughly more than a month lang.. ang aga kong binitawan yung URC ko but still gain is gain hintayin ko na lang na bumaba sya ulet..

@ sis Melmedrano!! thank you talaga sis sa pag kausap saken dito hehe..naliwanagan na ko.. nag iisip tuloy ako if ipush ko pa ba. tagal na nung naka attend ako ng free seminar ng COL. like last year pala kaya bago ako umalis alam ko na yan parang nakalimutan ko lang yung part na natanong ko dito hehe..gusto ko kasi ng investment eh ang layo kos a pinas dapat din madali lang communication via email maayos talaga. nag iisip din ako baka condo investment nalang since im dying to have one! investment din naman yun so yan mga options ko. siguro ang Jol nun mga 54 pesos lang ngayon ang laki na..gusto naman pldt eh kaso grabeh kaduper namn ang mahal! so isip isip mode pa..thanks ulit

^madali lang naman mag-open ng account sa COL sis i was here in SG nung nag-open ako i just mailed them the papers needed for the account opening then deposit the initial amount, if you have BPI online banking much better.. Long term lang din ang plan ko before basta bili-bili lang until ma-experience ko ang 25% loss sa overall port ko nasayangan ako sa gain nya dati di kasi ako nagbenta kaya now pag na-abot na target price ng stock positions ko benta na agad hinatyin na lang ulet na bumaba tapos bili na lang ulet.. i only buy blue chip stocks i don't have time to study charts kaya di ako bumibili ng mga basura stocks..

I wanted to invest in stock market 5 years ago pa.
I was always waiting for somebody to give me a 101 discussion but then when I talk to investor friends, di ko sya lalong maintindihan.
Ganun din sa mutual funds. Puro tanong ako. So ang ginawa ko, naghanap ako ng Sun Life advisor (buti na lang yung friend ko manager doon) at nagpaopen ako ng Equity account. Nung nagkaron ako ng online account saka ko naintindihan kung paano bumababa at tumataas ang investment ko.

Stock market kasi medyo mas serious na usapan. Unanswered pa din ang questions namin so one day, hubby and I just just went to COL Financial and opened an account. Sya na lang ang pinaasikaso ko, since mas mahilig sya sa mga analysis. Ayun, saka lang namin naintindihan ang stock market. Buti may online trading sa COL. Sobrang laki ng tulong pag online.

So bottomline is, based on experience, for those of you who are curious about investing, mas ok siguro mag open muna ng account at maglagay ng initial capital na kaya nyo ipang-study. Mas OK maexperience na makita mo ang interface ng trading and investment and from there, it would be easier to navigate and know what to ask.

Stock market vs. a condo unit as an investment... I would go for stock market, hands down. Unless you have someone who wants to rent your condo unit straight away. But even then, you have to worry about the contract, collecting payments, maintaining your property, and the renter himself, if he'll be a good payer and a responsible tenant or not.

In both types of investments, you may have to wait years for your capital to appreciate. But the stock market has the edge in that it's 100% liquid, especially if you invest in blue chips and not basura stocks.

Here's a better plan: if the stock market is in an uptrend like it is now, ride it 'til the end or until you're satisfied with your gains. Then, whatever profit you get from that, use it to buy real estate. You hit two birds with one stone! Then save up or sell the property you bought at a gain for reinvesting when the next bull cycle comes. Rinse, repeat.

Yun nga naisip ko sis I will get a condo and pay every month then maybe after 6 months makahanap ng magrerent oh edi kumita pa hehe..naisip ko baka divide ko nalang pera ko like panghulog sa condo and pang stocks na din..gusto ko kasi added income na tangible yung tipong papasok sa account ko hheheh ganun. Pero thanks sa mga opinions nio its really helpful mga sis. there's no right and wrong answer naman diba Im so grateful to be here.

Wala talaga si SMPH, ang bigat bigat ng pwet. Akala ko kay LTG pa ako mag-cu-cut-loss, buti lumipad Glad to see a few favorites falling, like ALI and MEG, mukhang magpapasakay uli.

Hi sissies, new to stock market here as well. Yun po bang gain/loss mu eh against sa presyo nung huli mong binili yung stocks? Or is it against sa huling presyo sa market? (Sorry po if it sounds like a stupid question) ahe.

I am new here and planning to invest on stocks
HOWEVER, I have not idea how it works. I have read, and ang alam ko lang is yung basics (which are details on PSE's website). Are there any tips that you can possibly share on buying/selling stocks?  how much did you initially invested when you first started this? Takot ako mag.invest then it will turn out negative pa.

^^Your gain/loss is price you paid vs. current market price. Not counting fees & charges to simplify: If you bought your shares at P1 and price now is P2, then your % gain is 100%. But if price falls to P0.50, then your % loss is -50%.

In my experience, I was only able to fully understand the stock market when I already had money in it. Syempre may taya na eh; I had money involved. Start ka even with just 5k to get exposure. Then make your investment bigger as you gain more experience and confidence.

hi mga sis! san nyo po nakukuha yung target price? i dont have a COL account kasi.. im using BPI trade.. ive been researching eh.. i want to do the Strategic averaging method.. yung may target price and buy below price ba yun.. kasi hindi ko talaga alam kung kelan bibitawan yung hawak ko.. nasa trial pa lang ako eh.. maliit pa lang ang investments ko.. nagstart ako last year pa pero lahat ng hawak ko bumaba! hahah! deym.. parang wala kong galing kung kelan bibili at magbebenta.. sabi you have to be aware sa news daw.. minsan wala namang news pero lahat sila nagbabaan.. including yung mga hawak ko.. haysss..
