^Post ka lang ng questions dito, sis, baka may mga iba sa atin who have the same questions as you do. Yung MEG and ALI that were previously mentioned, real estate stocks yun.

Grabe pagka-bullish ngayon ah. Is this euphoria? Is there a pullback waiting to happen 'round the corner or tuloy-tuloy na? I've been waiting for a pullback just like in the past months (June-Aug 2013: 6800 to 5700, Nov-Dec 2013: 6600 to 5700), but at this bullishness, I don't know if that'll happen again. I regret letting go some of my winners like MEG and ALI, but, oh well, a gain is a gain.

Hi Mga Sis..May tanong wala pa ko shares for now but im planning to buy and join stocks very soon. Please enlighten me gusto ko lang kasi makaipon hehe..so if I have shares im not planning to trade or sell. just buying ..ask ko lang pag ba nagpapalaki lang ako ng stocks ko kapag bumaba yung value affected ba shares ko kahit di ko ibenta? parang gusto ko sleeping investment mode. Ganun ba yun? or mababawasan din talaga ko?

naku sis, mahihirapan ka na talaga makahanap ng mga stockbrokers ngayon kasi everything can be done online. :-)

I want to add to her question, how will I lose my money? So if bumaba yung value ng stock it won't affect my money right? Also the dividends kasi there are 3 or two types every time I will look at the profile of the company that I want to buy. I don't quite understand it pa hehe.. And how do they give you dividends? Will it be added to COL balance?

I not an expect but I know some basics, 2 years na rin ako sa stock market investing.

First question:
pag ba nagpapalaki lang ako ng stocks ko kapag bumaba yung value affected ba shares ko kahit di ko ibenta? - YES. Isa lang ang market price for a given time at yun ang value ng stocks na yun sa time na yun. Affected lahat ng may hawak ng stocks na yun, kasi hindi naman na-c-classify sa market yung intention sa pagbili. You cannot say na for long term ako kaya may immunity ako, it doesnt work that way. But I think you are more interested to know kung malulugi ka ba kahit di mo naman ibebenta yung stocks mo. Ang sagot dyan, NO. Habang nasa port mo pa lang ang stocks mo, paper value lang sya unless you sell them.

Second question:
parang gusto ko sleeping investment mode. Ganun ba yun? or mababawasan din talaga ko?
If you are planning to buy stocks from reputable companies (blue chips), then more or less, hindi mababawasan ang pera mo but technically madadagdagan due to dividends that they will give over time. Pero I personally do not recommend the sleeping investment mode. If this is what you plan to do, stock market is not for you. Kasi timing is the key here. Hindi guarantee na matagal mong hawak ang isang company, mabibigyan ka ng malaking kita. Try RTB na lang.

Third question:
how will I lose my money? So if bumaba yung value ng stock it won't affect my money right?
You will lose your money if you sell your stocks at a price that is lower than its price when you bought it. Again, the market price of your stocks will affect the value of your money in your port, but unless you sell your stocks that it will be an actual gain or loss. Remember this, when you buy stocks, you dont have your money anymore, what you have is an X number of stocks of a certain company that has an X amount of value. Inorder to have your money back, you have to sell that X number of stocks that you have for a price that is acceptable to you and your buyer. That's the only time where gain/loss can be determined.

Fourth question:
And how do they give you dividends? Will it be added to COL balance? Yes, dividends in cash form will be added to your COL balance. If it is a stock dividend, it will be added to your port. This is the least of my concern when it comes to Stock Market investing, because no matter what kind of dividends they give or how they give it, I see it as a BONUS.

I hope mga sis nasagot ko kahit papano ang mga tanong nyo... and you know, there is no better teacher than experience. Start investing now. :-)

Thank you sa answers mo, it enlightened me! And I'm so happy that I can talk to ladies here, I tried other pinoy stock forums and I didn't even bother to register haha hanggang lurk lang ako.. They do sound helpful but most of them are guys I think so they sound like payabangan haha! I'm happy here .

Looking forward to learning for you sisters!

I just sold all my FGEN, EEI and PX for SMPH.
Closed: 14.90
My Ave cost 15.00
Allocation: 99.13% of portfolio

Lols. Let's see how this ends up for me in the coming weeks.
Plan is to cut loss at 5-7% if it goes down.

^Good luck! Entered SMPH myself a few days ago at 14.6. Also got PX, but holding maybe until ex-date. I'm holding FGEN until my TP. I got LTG again, but it broke support today so it looks like I might cut loss if it hits -5%. Keeping about 30% in cash in case one of my favorite high-flyers come crashing down again (MEG, ALI, URC).

My order didn't get executed when I placed it during the close @ 14.54
It already shot up at 14.76 by the time I was able to login today.

I think this is the best practice. Half lang muna i-sell para may tira pa tapos reinvest nga sa iba pa.

Oh, you sold EEI na? Plan ko pa to buy. Hehe. I used to have it. Can't remember how much but it was mura pa and I was able to sell it sa okay na price. Since ok trending nya, I want to reinvest. Hehe.

I just have a good feeling about SMPH right now. It's a gamble actually, nag all in ako sa tingin kong run na gagawin ni SMPH (na hopefully mangyari haha). Let's see. I'm just looking to take profit then reinvest. Balik FGEN (+aral ng ibang maganda for long term) most likely.

My GTC price Php50.00 for JGS got hit today with 25% gain will buy back again pag bumaba ulet sa 38/39    im still contemplating if i'll average down sa SMPH ko taas ng average ko 16.6    baka kasi biglang bumaba yung ibang minomonitor ko na stock wala ako maibili kung bababa pa siguro sa 14 ang SMPH malamang mapabili ako
