Hi guys,

Meron ba sa inyo nag tour sa US kasama interstates at alin ang mga pinuntahan ninyo at alin ang maganda puntahan fir kids? May thread dito about each states pero may experience ba kayo ng palipat lipat say for example for one month? Paamo ninyo plinano?

^^When you say interstate tour? Do you mean like driving around from one state to another? 

It's achievable if you're going to like the northeastern part. Like driving around the New England States. Because they are smaller states compared to the others.  But otherwise, unless you're driving a rental. Sayang kasi sa mileage ng car and not to mention gas. Sometimes its cheaper to fly. Unless you're itinerary is Los Angeles, then Vegas. Or LA then Grand Canyon. From LA to Vegas is already about a 4-5 hour drive with no stops, depending on the traffic. LA to SF is about a 6 hour drive already.

Hello mga sis. Not sure if this is the right thread, was just wondering if may special license ba na kelangan to drive around Massachusetts? Tourist visa lang kasi kami and we'll be staying for 2 weeks. Pwede kaya yun?

I have! Last December. Me and the boyf. We did NY -> NJ -> DC -> TX -> CA.

We booked the stops as days-long layovers on our mid legs, Open Jaw ( yes this is possible.   

US bound :
MNL - NRT - JFK  (NYC 1 1/2 week layover) - IAH

During our 1 1/2 week in NYC, we spent 2 days in DC (went by train), 2 days in NJ(train) and the rest in NYC. It helps that we have family in those states so we left our big luggage in NY and traveled light to DC and NJ

IAH(Houston, TX) - we spent 2 weeks til xmas. boyf's family lives there

Homebound :
IAH - LAX (1 week layover) - NRT - MNL

in our LAX leg, we were also able to do a road trip to SFO

it's exhausting but it's such an adventure and you get the most out of your US airfare

Hi, I have another question cos we are also planning on a US tour sometime this year:

Is it possible to purchase plane tickets na separate ang outbound and inbound? Like hindi kami iqquestion sa immigration or customs? Reason for that is we might do some sightseeing [i.e. picture picture;D] na rin sa mga layover stops namin, e.g. Asiana in Seoul, or Delta in Tokyo, or Dubai via Emirates.

poshprincess, what airline did you book multi-city? I am planning to do that too.

In my case kasi it's PAL, MNL-SFO RT. Then booked interstate via United Airlines in between.

California - Concord, Pleasant Hill, Oakley, Richmond, San Francisco, Livermore, Napa Valley.
Florida - Jacksonville, 1 week visit for my Mom
Tennessee - Nashville, 1 day visit for my Sister
Arizona - Phoenix, Scottsdale, 1 week, at a Resort and my friend's house.

SFO - LAS - IAH - JAX
JAX - ORD - BNA
BNA - DEN - PHX
PHX - SFO
daming connecting palagi eh.

^ To save time, what I did early this year is to travel mostly by plane as I only had three weeks of VL.
MNL - JFK RT then I looked for promo fares on domestic destination, and some were reached thru driving.
JFK to Chicago via Delta airlines - $90
Chicago to SFO -- via United Airlines - $67
SFO to LA to Bakersfield to San Diego - land travel
LA to Orlando -- via Southwest Airlines
Orlando back to JFK -- via Southwest Airlines
**total price for Southwest flights is around $300

BTW, about dun sa pag drive sa US. I was in the East Coast last summer (here). Tuwing type ko mag drive ang dahilan sakin nung friend ko is, too risky dahil wala daw akong insurance or something involving car insurance and my driving. Di ko gets, pero di na ko nag insist kasi parang katakot din mag drive dun lol dahil di rin ako familiar sa mga lugar although they widely use GPS na din and google maps.

^probably if you were to drive their personal car medyo risky since you don't have insurance or their car's insurance does not cover you as a second driver. But if you were to rent a car, the rental companies offer insurance naman. Or if you have travel insurance with Malayan meron silang extra benefit of a car insurance in case of damage/theft.

Asiana and korean air had promos last month.was able to avail for travel on march 20, 2017 cebu to sanfo via korean air 684usd all in..asiana was 749 naman..i guess these are all good deals

Mahal ko ang JetBlue! we thought our NYC-Vegas flight was 10am, pero 8am pala But the lady sa counter said na we can check in pa din sa next flight without any fees kase we got there just before 8:30am -- had it been later than that, may penalty na. Also they have wider legrooms, wifi, and unlimited chips and drinks. For someone who grew up in Cebu Pacific and AirAsia, feeling ko princess ako sa JetBlue
