New discovery namin ni hubby yung night railway market called Talad Rod Fai. It's a vintage goods, food and clothes market that used to be located near Chatuchak until they were relocated to Srinakarin road east of Bangkok downtown. It's a great hangout place, food tripping galore! The vintage goods section kinda reminded me of Paris' Les Puces (flea market). It primarily caters to locals since it is a bit out of the way and not readily accessible via their BTS or metro. Kailangan effort talaga pagpunta pero once you're there you'll be rewarded with all the wonderful food and goodies!

^we arrived there around 7PM on a Saturday and full on na yung activity. From what I read in Bangkok Airways' inflight magazine, they open only on the weekends starting from 5PM to 1AM.

I guess if you're coming from downtown, the travel time is shorter via BTS and taxi. Kami kasi we stayed at Novotel Suvarnabhumi kaya via taxi yung pinaka-convenient pero grabe gapang ang traffic! Effort talaga. Pero pagdating namin dun nawala inis namin sa traffic. Enjoy kami sa kaiikot and kakakain.

^Nope! But they used to be there. Mas accessible pa yang JJ Green kasi sa area lang sya ng Chatuchak. If you are familiar with Bangkok's biggest mall, Seacon Square, dun sa area na yan nalipat yung Talad Rod Fai night market.

^ oh.. medyo malayo nga if we come from either Kempinski or Dusit areas.. malapit-lapit na sya yata sa Mega Bangna (where Ikea is)?

We will be arriving in bangkok at around 11:50 pm so parang risky na pumunta nang hotel in pratunam area. Wala pa naman kaming hotel reservation pero balak namin sa pratunam mag stay. May ma i su suggest ba kayong hotel na sumusundo sa airport? Kasi kung hindi kami makakuha nang hotel na sumusundo sa airport balak namin mag stay sa airport hanggang mga 5 am siguro para maliwanag na tapos sakay na lang nang cab papuntang hotel.

Most hotels nag-ooffer ng airport pick up for a fee sis. If may target hotel ka na, better email them for the rates.

^^meron ka rin pwede i-rent na transfers from airport. Book mo siya dito before ka umalis then doon mo na lang babayaran yung driver. Very safe and convenient, cheaper by few hundreds from hotel transfers

Thank you sa suggestion sis parang maganda sa glow pratunam. ginoogle ko yung baiyoke nakita ko yung baiyoke boutique hotel ano kaya kung ok dun para kasing maganda sa site kaya lang may nabasa ako na medyo malayo daw bts and platinum mall sa baiyoke sky hotel kasi ok sana rate kaya lang baka ilagay ako sa masyadong mataas na floor ayoko pa naman sa masyadong mataas.

Naka-stay na rin ako sa Baiyoke Boutique, ok lang siya malapit siya sa train station going to airport, pero mas nasa looban siya so may lakad pa going to ptratunam mall, platinum etc. pero hindi naman sobrang layo.

Aabutin kaya nang mga more then 20 minutes sis kung lalakarin from baiyoke boutique papuntang platinum and bts? Ok lang naman sa akin maglakad basta safe ang place na dadaanan. If umuwi ba kami sis nang mga 10 am galing pratunam and platinum na maglalakad lang hindi ba nakakatakot? Plan ko i avail yung de luxe with breakfast nila ok ba naman yung food sis and maaga ba sila nag se serve nang breakfast?

and gabi naman kami umuuwi, bangkok is not the safest place to be at in general pero may mga night markets in pratunam so madami pa rin mga tao and hindi naman super dilim yung mga dadaanan niyo. havent tried their food there, sa labas kami lagi kumakain.

sis pret_ty68, ganda nga location ng Glow kasi malapit sa Platinum Mall. Halos tawid lang pero malayo pa rin sa BTS.

Same with Baiyoke, malayo sila sa BTS pero may mga tuktuk naman. Mga 60-100 baht singil nila going to BTS. Sa area naman ng Baiyoke, may night markets kaya marami pa rin tao kahit gabi.

Thank you sis. Mukhang gusto ko na nga talaga sa glow kasi mukhang malapit rin siya sa siam and central world and mas maganda yung mga nababasa kung reviews sa glow as compared to baiyoke. Isa pa sa kino consider kung hotel ngayon ay yung berkeley pratunam. Yung sa bts baka mag bts lang naman kami pagpunta sa chatuchak. Plan kasi namin mag avail na lang nang guided tour to ayutthaya and sa grand temples. Ayaw kasi naming sumakay nang tuktok at taxi hanggat maaari dahil sa mga negative reviews na nababasa namin like nangongontrata and yung dadalhin ka sa kung ano anong shops na may commission sila. Kaya as much as possible lakad lakad na lang kung kaya.

^Kami hindi rin kami sa Pratunam area nagstay. We booked in a condo medyo malayo lang sa city pero katabi lang ng BTS kaya convenient. Try to look for hotels near the BTS line din. May hotel din na katabi lang ng MBK, forgot the name

lub.d hostel yung very near MBK. Meron din Mercure/Ibis across MBK, right by the National Stadium BTS.

mga sis, nagchange ang flight ko sa cebpac. BKK to Manila on Feb23. 12:30 midnight na sya ngayon. Please advise kung ok lang ba na ganyang oras ang flight ko kasi that would mean na around 7-8pm ako pupunta ng airport. hindi ba nakakatakot? ako lang kasi mag.isa magtravel.

Feedback mga sis, kung ok na ba iretain ang schedule or mas ok na mas maaga ang flight?

^ ok lang ang midnight flight, sis. Safe naman kahit magtaxi ka pa going to the airport. Though meron din naman train.

Sa totoo lang, I feel safer in BKK than here in Manila.
