hi guys. we will be in bangkok on the 28th of september. Saglit lang kami kasi stopover lang. advisable pa rin ba mag tuktuk or mag taxi na lang? Also, baka may masuggest kayong activities.  hapon na ng 28 dating namin ng bangkok. thanks!

yes sis, mga 3 minutes lang sis. actually kita sa airport link yung hotel. so kung di naman midnight ang dating niyo pwede na kayo magairport link papunta saka pabalik ng airport. kaya lang kami nagtaxi papunta kasi sarado na yung airport link nung dumating kami. Enjoy sis!

Actually, mga 2 days din naman ang stopover namin. stopover pa rin ba yun? hehe.  we will be there until the 30th ng tanghali. so hindi ko alam if magtour kami or kami kami na lang ang maglilibot. kaya tanong ko kung ok pa rin ba magtuktuk or magtaxi sa paglilibot or maghire ng tour. dalawa lang kami ng husband ko.  Thanks po!

^ah ok lang sis pero i suggest magtrain kayo kasi matraffic sa bkk, yung tuktuk pwede naman pero ang alam ko short distances lang sya. so kung plano niyo magGrand Palace, either taxi or train.

kaya yan sis! 2 days naman pala.

mga sis ask lang po how to get to khaosan road from mochit bus station? recommended tour po na floating market na d kamahalan, may idea po kayo magian ang chao phraya river cruise? sorry ang sami tanong will be in BKK on the 11th. TIA

@freelancebuddy:  Thanks sis! So sa paglilibot pwedeng kami na lang? tanong ko pala about their train, is it the same with singapore? or hk? the last time i went sa bangkok wala pa yatang train or hindi lang namin alam na meron nang train nung time na yun. hehe

eto pala proposed itinerary namin

Sept 28: 4:30 pm arrival in bangkok
              6:30 pm khao san night market
              8:00 pm patpong night market

Sept 29: temple tour (whole morning)
              MBK (afternoon)

Sept 30: Pratunam morning market

Baka meron kayong masuggest or comments.  Also, baka may alam kayong masarap ng breakfast/brunch buffet sa area ng Pratunam.  Thanks po!

^I would suggest not to go to MBK, go to Platinum na lang if shopping yung habol niyo

Mga sis, please help me in choosing the best location to stay sa Bangkok. Which among these hotels ang may best location in terms of lapit sa BTS, Airport Link, and also sa mga kainan like may mga resto ba sa paligid or 7-11.

1. myHotel Pratunam - 1000 baht lang sya for double room kaya consider ko rin sya. They have free shuttle din pero not yet sure of the time.
2. Lemontea Hotel
3. Bangkok City Suite or Bangkok City Hotel
4. First House
5. Baiyoke Suite

Or baka may iba pa kayong alam na good hotels. I'll be travelling with my husband and 3 yo daughter.

@_gigles_: ganun ba sis? ok, will change it. ano pala pinagkaiba nila? I mean nung dalawang shopping mall na yun. I'm not after the high end brands kasi. thanks ulit.

^^ hubby and his friends stayed in Lemontea early this year (pregnant ako nun so di ako nakasama). Nice daw ang hotel and rooms kasi medyo bago pa. About 10-15mins walk to BTS/Airport Link station. But when tinamad sila, they took a short tuktuk ride (10 baht per person yata siningil sa kanila, ok na din). Lots of shopping (inc night market) and small eateries around the area. Short walk to Platinum Mall.

As for the others, I have no first-hand info.

^Ang nice nga talaga ng Lemontea Hotel sis. Tapos katabi pa ng 7-11. 1500 baht without breakfast yung double room nila.

Tempting lang yung promo ng myHotel Pratunam, kasi yung 1000 baht, with breakfast na yun tapos may free shuttle pa going to sa mga Soi lang, walang routes going to MBK, BTS station. Same block naman sila ng Lemontea

We will be in Bangkok on Thursday and plan namin ni hubby to have dinner at Asiatique. Any recos for good food stall/restaurants there? This will be our first time at Asiatique.

Also has anyone been to Taling Chan floating market? Ayaw namin sa Damnoen Saduak kasi touristy masyado. Thanks!

^ I forgot the names sis, but there are nice resto's at the Boardwalk (by the river). Nung kami kasi, we chose the Japanese buffet sa may bungad lang kasi gutom na, ayaw na ni hubby mag-checkcheck pa.. hehe..

^ I think the resto's name is Nikuya, pagdating ng Asiatique sa may bandang left side sya, 2nd floor ng one of the first buildings there. Before the building where Calypso is yata, if tama naalala ko. Di ko ma-compare now sa Saisaki kasi di ko na ma-recall masyado yung selection, but i remember na nasulitan naman kami. Me grill din kasi sya sa gitna - for meats, seafood, veggies, etc.. Tsaka reasonable ang price.

Edited to clarify: yung grill e nasa gitna ng each table.

Question, pwede ba magdala ng durian paauwi? As in magdadala ako ng lock&lock and ziploc para di maamoy? Or wag na lang baka maconfiscate?

Has anyone tried Sabx2 Wanton Mee noodle? Pag nagbabasa kasi ako ng singaporean blogs, popular sya eh
