Bangkok is quite peaceful. Curfew is still implemented. There are a few pocket protests against the military rule but even that are generally peaceful. Clashes between the authorities and the protesters are not a common sight here, unlike back home.

You can proceed with your trip but avoid CentralWorld and Victory Monument since it seems to be the sites of the protest rallies. Be mindful also of the curfew. Otherwise, Bangkok is safe.

Thanks for the update sis spicy_angel   Seems like we will push through with our trip na lang kasi we've paid for the hotel na and as of today, they're not giving refund daw. Sayang kasi binayad namin, no rebooking din dahil discounted na. What time is the curfew now sis? Dati kasi 10pm to 4am. True ba na 12mn to 5am na lang daw? TIA

Thanks for the update sis spicy_angel. Good news yan! And since we weren't able to get refunds for both airfare and hotel accommodation, we're pushing through with the trip.

Just got back from Bangkok. It's super safe. The curfew has been lifted also so walang kahassle hassle to walk around at night. We stayed at Berkeley Hotel in Pratunam. It's 5 star and super sulit. P3.5k per night in agoda.com. Twin sharing na yan with buffet breakfast. Ganda ng pool and amenities. Super linis. It's near the airport link, around 10 mins walk from the Rachaprarop station, 40 baht lang from airport to hotel. No need to take a cab.😊 Pinakanagustuhan ko ang street food. Ang pad thai 30 baht lang. Nakakaloka, good for 2 pa yun! We went sa Damnoensaduak floating market, Chang Puak Camp for the elephant ride, The Grand Palace, Giant Budha, and we watched the Siam Niramit cultural show. Shopping is so so. Didn't like the tiangges so much. Sa mall naman same price lang sa atin. In love with BKK food and culture.😍😍 Just post questions, maybe I can help konti.

@esor went to the Tiger Temple in Kanchanaburi. The tigers are super docile so it wasn't scary at all. The handlers/volunteers will also tell you what to do and what not to do.

Gaano kalayo ang IKEA from Pratunam? Worth visiting ba Grand Palace?  Mahal kasi entrance fee. hehe. Also, sino na naka-try nung Chao Praya Dinner Cruise? Worth it ba?

As for Grand Palace, for me, worth it na din, di naman ganun kamahal. Madaming photoop spots, hehe.. Tsaka kasama na din dun sa ticket ang entrance ng Vimanmek Mansion.

As for the dinner cruise, we tried once lang, super-tagal na, during one of our earlier trips to BKK. Ok din, mainly for experience. Food was so-so lang, though buffet naman. For me, ok sya if you're going with a loved one, mala-romantic dinner ek-ek. We got the table sa may open deck when we went, so ok din ang cool breeze. And maganda ang view, esp yung bridges and yung [textspeak!] Arun.

^^must visit ang grand palace sis! Ang ganda dun.  We have also tried the Chao Praya Princess Dinner Cruise. Highly recommended ko yan.
