^ ok pa din naman sa floating market, but as expected mostly pang-tourists na sya. We usually have snacks dun (noodle soup and mala-crepes na crunchy, both binebenta by the water, sa mga boats), then picture-picture, and of course yung longtail boat ride. Then alis na din. Madami din souvenirs like shirts, etc., although some stalls e medyo mahal so better to canvass muna.

@bagaholic_chewy may question ako baka alam mo yun sagot bakit sabi noon sa akin yun mga damit daw dun nakaphoto album. bale mamimili ka ng design ng damit dun kase nga bawal isukat pero yun pumunta naman ako wala naman ako nakita nakaphoto album? nakalabas lahat.  hehe

^ ay, never pa ako nakakita nung sa album lang mamimili... hehe.. yeah, usually di pwede magsukat. Walang mga fitting rooms sa mga tiangge. Although minsan, me mga stalls na pumapayag na ipatong sa damit. Or minsan me sample sizes sila nung shirts tapos yun ang pwede isuot/ipatong sa damit para masukat.

sis totoo bang na-ooffend daw sila pag nag ask ka tapos di ka pala bibili? pano ka magcocompare ng prices? nakapaskil na ba prices sa tiangge?

^ ok lang to ask sa mga tiangge kahit di bibili. Basta reasonable naman, di yung tipong pinagod mo na ng todo tapos di pala bibili, hehe.. Yung price, minsan nakapaskil, minsan hindi. Basta if you buy at least 3 in one store, always ask for the wholesale price. Minsan kahit 2pcs lang e binibigyan na nila ng discount. Basta ask nicely, with a smile if you can. Parang sa divi din siguro na me halong bola, hehe..  I think ang medyo naiinis sila is yung nag-haggle ka na ng todo and all, tapos di pala bibili..

yun bumili ako ng blouse sa platinum wala naman ako naencountered na masungit na tindera. polite naman sila lahat. Pero yun kasabayan namin Pinay may naencountered daw sya masungit at may nambangga pa sa kanya kaya nagtaasan sila ng boses kwento nya sa amin. yun iba nakapastel na dun yun price yun iba wala naman itatanong mo talaga.

May matutulugan ba na cheap lang near the airport? After midnight kasi dating namin sa bangkok. Balak naming lumipat din ng hotel sa may pratunam in the morning.

hello... just arrived last night from bangkok.  we enjoyed khao san road lalo na nung gabi... although di siya accessible via train halos same price naman pag 2 kayo sa train and sa taxi.. next time na babalik kami sa khao san road kami ulit magsstay. enjoyed shopping pero mali kami ng itinerary.. pinagisang araw namen ang chatuchak and platinum mall... so whole day lakad and shopping.. ayun sa since monday night hanggang ngayon may fever ako hehe

Sis, this is a private tour? If it is, then ok na yang price. Interesting din ang Kanchanaburi/River Kwai tour. Ask mo din what kind of transpo to/from BKK gagamitin nyo, sana van or similar spacious na sasakyan. If normal kotse (so 3 kayo sa likod), baka di ganun ka-comfy travel nyo. Minsan kasi pag 1-3pax e kotse ginagamit nila.

^ well, malaki matitipid nyo kung joining tour, hehe.. nung nag-River Kwai kami, we just joined a group tour kasi kaming 2 lang ni hubby. Ok naman kasi me transfers na kasama to /from hotel.

^ if you plan on doing a lot of shopping,  then Pratunam (for tiangges) or Siam (for malls)  is your best bet of where to stay, magkalapit lang ang dalawang yan, kaya lakarin between the areas..

As for description of Sukhumvit, nasa area na to ang Terminal 21 mall. read more info here http://www.bangkok.com/sukhumvit/

It depends where in Sukhumvit your target hotel is, and what you plan to do while in Bangkok. Just use the search box or browse through that website, and it'll you a lot of info on Bangkok's other areas din.
