question on KOLIN window type aircon, where do you have it cleaned and how often do you clean it?

Hi mga sis! Balak ko bumili ng inverter window type na aircon. Ok ba? Kasi kaya window type na inverter ang gusto ko kasi may mga nabasa ko na madaling masira ang mga split type na inverter, pinapasukan ng mga insects at lizards tapos ayun nakukuryente sila at nasisira yung loob ng aircon, and very costly daw pagpapagawa.

Totoo din ba na dapat mataas na HP bibilhin mo pag inverter kasi hindi masyado itong lumalamig?

^ we have the split type. Never pa naman pinasukan ng lizards, and insects, etc.
Carrier brand nung samin and never pa siya nasira sa four years na ginagamit siya. Basta alaga lang sa cleaning and maintenance.

Yung hp depends on the size of the room. Higher hp for bigger room. There are other factors to consider also..like how many heat generating appliances are there inside or how many people will sleep(if it's a bedroom), etc..

Regarding sa hindi masyado lumalamig na issue, well i think you can always adjust the thermostat if you want a cooler temperature. You can also select the mode-auto,cool,dry,fan. Based on my observation, dry mode blows the coldest. Maybe because super humid here sa Pinas.

You don't have to buy a higher hp than required. It will lead to higher power consumption compared to when you have just the right hp for your space.believe me, Hindi siya energy efficient. Plus, higher hp means more exoensive costs-from purchase to installation and maintenance.

I think you have more control sa thermostat if it's split type kasi you can choose kung ilang degress, 17-30 degrees celcius. I don't think may ganon ang window type, not sure sa latest model. Plus, mas maliit butas sa wall pag split type(big plus samin yun, pero if you don't have any issue sa butas ng wall, okay lang to opt for a window type).

Kolin's after sales service sucks!!! It's been more than two months since we reported the problem with the unit we bought but up to now wala pa silang action to replace it. 1 month mahigit lang namin nagamit ang aircon tapos bigla na lang nagstop at namamatay. 2x na pinuntahan ng accredited service center nila and both recommended replacement pero up to now wala pa rin. mas matagal na yun pinaghihintay namin kesa sa naging serbisyo ng aircon. hay grabe talaga.

I already filed a complaint to DTI and refund na ang gusto namin instead replace. We will never buy a Kolin aircon again.

Hello mga sis, ask ko lang kung malaki ba difference in terms of quality and durability between Condura and Carrier. Ang laki kasi ng price difference nung dalawa, but they have the same manufacturer, so probably same customer service/after sales support. We plan to buy 1HP inverter, window type aircon.

Additional question though, although gusto ko sana talaga ang split type, we're moving to a new house (totally wala pa kaming gamit), may butas na yung room for the window type and dating ni baby end of November, kaya parang hesitant ako bumili ng split type with the installation costs pa. Would I save more sa electricity with the inverter split type compared with an inverter window type? Mas sulit pa din ba bumili ng split type?

true, pinipilit ko din nun si hubby na split type eh. Unit price same lang naman sa window type for 1HP Inverter, may brands pa ngang cheaper yung split type.
Pero nagkatalo talaga sa installation cost and the obvious one - may butas na yung room namin for Window type! hehe

Thanks ficklemind and lonely_dad! Siguro mas gusto ko lang split type aesthetically and mas quiet ata. Pero mukhang go na ang window type.    Magcondura na lang kami since same lang naman pinanggalingan na manufacturer/factory sabi ng friend ko na nagwowork dun. hehe

yes masmahal yun parts and labor ng inverter type dahil sa bagong technology pa, parang cellphone.
Mas sensitive sya sa mga kuryente tulad ng palaging nag brownout o kaya lugar palaging nakidlat maari syang masira.

^Thanks sis, note ko yan. Still thinking kung inverter type ang bibilhin namin para sana laging naka on sa condo. Masyado pawisin baby ko, minsan kahit naka aircon na pinapawisan pa rin.

Kapag medyo matagal na yun condo (+2 yrs) at maraming occupants pwede na yun inverter at nasa city. Akala ko kasi subdivisons or apartment na bagong gawa kaya unstable pa supply ng kuryente.

^^ If plan mo laging naka-ON aircon then go for Inverter, dun mo talaga mararamdaman ang tipid sa kuryente ng inverter sa mga appliances  na matagal naka-ON like Ref.
naala ko discussion sa group chat namin. Yes mas mahal siya but according to my friend who owns an Appliance store, bawi mo din in a year yung ikinamahal ng inverter sa non inverter. Dami nagreact    kasi mararamdaman mo lang daw yung tipid  kung 6 to 8 hrs or more ka mag-aircon, if less than that then same consumption lang daw. Nagkasundo naman lahat lol.

^kolin and gree gamit namin window inverter so far ok naman.

Hi sis, musta naman ang Gree? The sales staff offer this brand to me. Aware ako sa brand since sabi ng friend ko who lives in China, eto daw mostly ang aircon brand na gamit sa mga residential. Pero musta kaya ang after sales service. Nasira na ba yun aircon since you bought it? Thanks

Any latest feedback on Fujidenzo inverter type aircon. Relatively mura kasi compared sa iba. Thank you!

^^sorry for very late reply. Ok naman gree, more than 2 years na sa akin wala problem. Bumili din ako last year ng Kolin 2.5hp window inverter ok din, wala pa naman problem.

^thanks very much. I also bought Gree last February Window type Inverter and so far wala din naman problem.
